[MtG] Muzzio and Grenzo

I know nothing about magic and don't know why I came in here but basically you can pay any number of mana to summon Grenzo (the X in the cost) and he'll come with that many +1/1 counters? So you charge him up and then swarm or something?

Yep, that's how you do it.

Minor gripe - why have there been so few green spoilers? Only two cards so far, and one of those (Selvala) is only half-green.

To be fair, this effect's been done before, and arguably better (Nimbus Swimmer has evasion), although I guess being a commander means you could just alpha strike as you mentioned. The main draw is that resurrection ability. I'm so glad Terminus/Hallowed Burial is not in red or black.

Actually with Grenzo you can still have a 2/2 for 2 where Nimbus Swimmer will cost you 4 so....yeah not better

Also lol Muzzio is Da Vinci...XD

Muzzio has all the Da Vinci vibes. Fiora would be such a lovely place for a whole set; an Italian Rennaisance plane is gorgeous. Like Ravnica, except more stylish. I love Grenzo's flavour. It's the Cellar Door mechanic! What are the chances that someone would play Stomping Slabs just to basically do a weak scry 7? (Hint: 0%, but hilarious nevertheless) It's great because you can cheat stuff like Siege-Gang Commander out.

The plot characters of the set basically are the face of the set. They're spoiling a lot of the legend-associated cards first: with three blue characters; two red, white and black; and only one green legend, there's less Selvala hype.

No, I mean they've already plotted the numbers to colours, and apparently green's only getting 3-4 new cards, half that of other colours. :/

It looks like the difference is 2 cards at most. Unfortunate, but not massive in the scheme of things. Once again, it's probably partially due to the distribution of plot characters.

So... he doesn't work particularly well in Prossh, so where does Grenzo fit the best? As a commander? X could be hard to maintain as the game progresses.

Grenzo works best as a build-around commander. X is perfectly fine to maintain; it's already ridiculously fast at scaling for its colours.
