There is a difference between using an image this size
[spoiler=Example A]
[/spoiler]
And using an image this size
[spoiler=Example B]

This one is actually desktop sized^
The spoiler keeps it in this box[/spoiler]

Just because it says there is "no limit", doesn't mean you should treat it as such.
Larger signatures are often too distracting/messy/etc, so it's typically better to stick to smaller things.
That, or just keep everything in a spoiler.

If you mean "size limit" in terms of how large your sig may be before someone/a mod insists you put in a spoiler, then yes, there's a size limit, but you can still use the gi-normous image, it just needs to be in a spoiler to not take up an entire forum page on itself.

Any size within reason. Aka. No one should have to scroll to see your whole signature.
