Astro Dude
I don't wanna use Hulu or crunchyroll. I like using free sites like Youtube. I mean, Sure, I pay for dvds and video games but not shows I missed or from way back when like say Gummi Bears or the latest episodes of pokemon. Besides, hulu and crunchyroll cost money for memberships and I have cash but I decide what to spend it on. I'm not promoting piracy. so I like to watch stuff for free. I've been doing it for years why stop now? It's not like I'm gonna go to heck for it. And by favorite Sailor Moon episodes I mean the ones DiC produced. A top ten of sorts with a short description of each episode. Care to go first?
mitchermitcher
Can we discuss doujins? Sailor Moon has a shit ton of H-doujins and some of them are really good, even though I don't know the characters at all. So like I've never seen or read Sailor Moon, any of it's iterations(Except from H stuff). I understand many are watching for the nostalgic factor, but what about Sailor Moon makes it fun? I'd download Crystal and try it out but I'm kinda lazy and all.

Also Sailor Moon has always had a Power Rangers ish vibe to it and Japan LOVES Power Rangers :P
Phantom Roxas
Crunchyroll is also free. Just deal with the ads. It's been so long since I watch the DiC dub. Like I said, the most I remember is SuperS / the Dead Moon Circus arc, and even then, not all that much. I guess, from what I remember, Tiger's Eye would be the villain that stood out the most to me. I liked Timerangers and then some, and then there's Kamen Rider that I love that's pretty similar. Eh, fuck it, I'll get to Crystal soon and see if I like it. Or I could get to PreCure first but you know, procrastination.

See, we're getting somewhere here. So, out of... okay the Trio were around for 22 episodes. Better narrow down to your top 5 Tiger's Eye episodes. As for me, here I go: 10. Sailor V Makes the Scene: Introduction of Sailor Venus 9. Enemies No More: Catsy becomes good. 8. Eternal Dreams: The trio become human. 7. Dreams of Her Own: Remember Sailor Moon says and how long it was? Imagine that only 22 times longer. 6. Heartfelt Melody: Sailor Mercury's newest upgrade 5. Jupiter Comes Thundering In: Introduction of Lita/Makoto/Sailor Jupiter 4. Final Battle: Rini/Chibiusa is back, bad guy defeated and Power of Love was the best song ever. 3. A Crystal Clear Destiny: What sold it for me was My Only Love 2. Checkmate: Bertie goes good. And my number one episode is Computer School Blues because it introduced my favorite of the Sailor Scouts, Sailor Mercury/Amy/Ami. Also, I may be one of very few people who are appalled and disgusted by the H Sailor Moon. In my opinion, it should never exist. In fact I think H stuff featuring famous cartoon characters like Jessica Rabbit, Litchi, Yoko Littner, etc also should not exist.

Astro Dude
I meant you opening up to what your fave episodes were. The sun will freeze before I join Hulu or Crunchyroll. Never... gonna... happen. Does Hulu have any good shows like Gummi Bears, C. O. P. S., Pirates of Dark Water, etc? And don't you need a credit card number for Hulu registration? Edit: No Gummi Bears, No C. O. P. S., No Pirates of Dark Water. No classic stuff from my day. So, why should I register if it doesn't have any of my fave shows? Phantom Roxas
You can use Hulu for the shows it does have, and you should only need to use a credit card for Hulu or Crunchyroll if you're applying for a free trial. There isn't even a risk to having an account, as the free trial isn't mandatory, so give it a chance and stop whining.
Astro Dude
Let's just... Look, you have your video sites, I have mine. Let's just pretend me posting that link never happened. Okay? Phantom Roxas
Um, how about no? I'm trying to get people to support this show, and you are actively refusing to do that.
Astro Dude
I'm trying to be nice. I love this show too. Please stop antagonizing me. This is the war I do not want to be involved in. The other is the war of fans who like the old dub vs. Fans who will like the new dub. Bottom line, I'm not using Hulu or Crunchyroll and there's nothing you guys can do that'll change my mind, end of discussion.
Alastar Rainford
This thread has seriously gotten out of hand and off topic...CrunchyRoll is much better though due to HD compared to crap quality on crap sites. OT: Wiseman and Chaos are still my favorite arcs.
Astro Dude
Wiseman/Doom Phantom? Yep, that was the Final Battle. Get it cause that was the name of the episode and it was the final battle. Not only that, it was the second final episode dubbed by DiC. As for Chaos, I only saw Sailor Stars clips so can't say much about that. Now for my Least favorite episodes: 10. A Moon Star is born. Serena's mom kicking her out of the house is just cruel. 9. Nightmare in Dream Land: The mom. 8. Much Ado about Kitten. Artemis in the dog house. 7. Child's Play. Mean people. 6. Nightmare Garden. Why do kids have to be mean to Mina? 5. Perfect Couple. Darien Nightmare. 4. Destiny's Arrival. Uranus and Neptune kill themselves. 3. Episodes 11- 15 and 17, again, mean people. 2. Smart Payoff. Amy's hallucinations can give anyone nightmares, and really, mean. And my least favorite of all on them: Birth of Wicked Lady. Why, just why? I mean it's plot but still... Next post will be favorite characters.
Alastar Rainford
Final battle of the Wiseman Arc was against the PLANET Nemesis in the 30th Century. Sailor Chaos is the final person Usagi faces and is actually the one who controlled Metallia,Nemesis, etc. Favorite Characters are SS Fighter AKA StarS Momoru replacement,Pluto,Saturn, and Uranus. Astro Dude
Okay then. See. This is what we should be discussing. Now then. Top ten characters: 10. Catsy. I don't hate her, I mean she was the first of the four sisters to turn good. 9. Zoicite + Fish Eye: Living interpretations of "Dude looks like a lady". 8. Darien. I like how he can at least tolerate Serena and Rini's constant arguing. 7. Rei/Sailor Mars. I have a soft spot for Tsunderes. 6. Serena/Usagi/Sailor Moon. The main character. 5. Mina(ko)/Sailor Venus. Just as much of a goof as Serena. 4. Allan. Sure the guy was evil but it was for self preservation and he did realize his mistake faster than Ann. 3. Nephlite. Why did I put this guy this high? Emotional impact. 2. Vesuvesu. I think she's the prettiest of the quartet. And my most favorie is Ami/Amy/Sailor Mercury. I think she's cute. Sleepy
On the piracy topic, I do watch a lot of anime illegally on the internet, but if anyone would ever tell me X anime can be found at Y site, and it'd be totally legal and support the show, I'd totally go for it. Personally as an artist, I am not entirely happy whenever I know I love some show that I cannot support because of lack of money. There are dozens of hours someone is pouring to make that show, that people are often not valued enough. So it annoys me to hear that someone can have a way to free of charge support something like this and just decide to not do it because of no reason at all. And yes, I am aware this topic has been going on for a few pages and a few days already, but I find it necessary to help keep it around as much as possible because Astro Dude is that unreasonable. Be it not listening when people tell him that spoilers are needed. When he completely ignores someone else's long post about "I don't freaking know VAs in the US, why do you write so much about it at that PM?". When he completely disrespects human morals like not doing piracy whenever it can be avoided or disrespecting a certain show's decision to not air a certain episode due to a catastrophe IRL that could leave more than just sour memories around. When he is completely oblivious to the way X show's logic happens (cough cough Yugioh Arc V thread cough*). Or when he takes the most reasonable constructive replies as personal offences just because he is being told that something he did was not quite "the way to go", going to the extreme of thinking that being topic creator give him the right to shut off people replying to him, with some imaginary jurisdiction on top of even mods. So it's pretty much a duty to offer this repetitive constructive criticism with hopes of improvement. To be honest, I have been watching it at whatever place I find. I thought Hulu and Crunchyroll were just your typical site, just more popular than the rest of the sea of anime-sites. Sorry for not checking there. I pretty much just now through this discussion learned that they are legal and support the series they host. I'm all for that idea and will be trying them out from now on[/inb4slowpokepg.]. Though I live in Mexico. Incredibly close to the US border so I'll give it a shot and see if those sites allow me to dive into them. I can't seem to ever be able to watch Korra at Nick.com even though it's the official one, so situations that prevent me from watching series due to my geographic location have happened before.... We'll see.... Sooo sorry but I have nothing to say about the show itself right now. Once again I have a very foggy memory of it, even though I DO remember I watched it often, so I'll pretty much be rediscovering it as it goes on. When is the next episode gonna air anyways? I did hear somewhere that it was gonna air like once or twice per month or something like that, which makes it harder to pin-point when one is just mildly interested. Alastar Rainford
I much prefer Saiya then Momoru in the old anime,bc she did so much more in 1 season than Momo did in his intirity. Manga wise Momo is a much stronger character though

Cin
Roxas has put forward the mod view on this topic. Astro you may use other watching sources, but unless their legal you cannot post on this forum about said locations. I admit I have used illegal sources in the past, because I didn't know of legal alternatives (or the UK doesn't have a good amount of legal alternatives) and mangas I will buy the instant I see them in English, but I would never defend them over the legal alternative. And ignorance by the 'hosts' has been proven an invalid excuse in the Megaupload and Pirate Bay cases. Plus most of their sources are not legal in the first place. You mentioned not wanting to watch on legal sites, but Youtube still shows ads as do those legal sites. On that excuse you don't want tv then. That draws a line under the whole thing as atleast one member has made a topic regarding your behaviour asking for clarification. I hope you have learnt your lesson, because next time you might not be as lucky.
Astro Dude
Oookay. Anyway, Hulu has the fourth of six episodes that didn't make it to DiC... the beach episode. Astro Dude
Prepare yourselves. War will soon break out. She pulled it off. She really pulled it off. Old Sailor Moon Dub Fan: "Clearly the older dub is far superior to this garbage. I like Meatball Head better" New Sailor Moon Dub fan: "Get your head out of your butt. This new cast is way better." Sheh's really good, but Usagi = Orihime so there's that. But I guess new Mamoru is cooler sounding than Swaysway. Still... be prepared.
