razzy
If a "Lightsworn" monster(s) (including this card) is Special Summoned from your Graveyard: Send the top 2 cards of your Deck to the Graveyard, then if any LIGHT monsters were sent this way, this card gains 300 ATK for each. If this card is in your Graveyard, and you have 7 or more "Lightsworn" monsters in your Graveyard: You can banish this card; add 1 "Judgment Dragon" from your Graveyard to your hand. You must control no cards to activate and resolve this effect. You cannot Normal or Special Summon the turn you activate this effect. Except for the monster added by this effect. You can only use this effect of "Noah, Lightsworn Marksman" once per turn.
Trebuchet MS
>Retrieve milled Judgment Dragon That's not going to end well. As if Lightsworns needed more options to retrieve their win-button.
razzy
I'm aware. But in fairness it is their only way to really win. I just thought this would be a new way to help them out. And it's not like it comes easy, needing to have 7 of them in Grave.
-Dom-
Yeah, I like it because I used to play Lightsworns back in the day, and you've balanced it as much as you really can. The only problem with the card, and I think with the deck is the multiple Judgement Dragons in one turn just wiping your opponent's field out. I just wish Konami would maybe do a Dark Strike Fighter style errata so you can only control 1 JD. I like the card itself though.
razzy
Thanks. I was trying to think of a way to make it part of the effect to be only able to summon that 1 JD for the turn. edited: Updated. May need some ocg help.
Trebuchet MS
OCG fix: If a "Lightsworn" monster(s) (including this card) is Special Summoned from your Graveyard: Send the top 2 cards of your Deck to the Graveyard, then if any LIGHT monsters were sent this way, this card gains 300 ATK for each LIGHT monster sent to the Graveyard this way. If this card is in your Graveyard, and you have 7 or more "Lightsworn" monsters in your Graveyard: You can banish this card from your Graveyard to target; add 1 "Judgment Dragon" in from your Graveyard; add that target to your hand. You must control no cards to activate and resolve this effect. You cannot Normal or Special Summon the turn you activate this effect, except for the monster added by this effect. You can only use this effect of "Noah, Lightsworn Marksman" once per turn. The issue with effects trying to track cards in hand is that they can't keep track because the hand is not public knowledge. Who knows if that JD that got SS'd this turn is the same one retrieved, or another copy lurking in the hand?
razzy
Right. But to my knowledge it's not unprecedented. How would you suggest it be worded?
Trebuchet MS
Putting "...except 'Judgement Dragon'" will still enable a triple-JD drop, so maybe something like this. You can banish this card from your Graveyard to target 1 "Judgment Dragon" in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand, then reveal it until the End Phase. You must control no cards to activate and resolve this effect. You cannot Normal or Special Summon monsters the turn you activate this effect, except for the revealed monster added by this effect. Making this card reveal what you picked up enforces public knowledge and lets the effect track the JD copy. There may be issues about "you can't reveal what's already revealed" via Respect Play and Ceremonial Bell, but the interactions with those quickly become trivial. razzy
I really don't see it being that much of a problem tbh. Even if someone has 2 JD in had the conditions of the effect make it so he/she could only summon 1.
Sunn O)))
I really don't see it being that much of a problem tbh. Even if someone has 2 JD in had the conditions of the effect make it so he/she could only summon 1. And that pretty much kills any reason to run this in Lightsworns.
