I think pretty much anything that's not horror, because I'm a huge f***ing coward.

Also, stuff that is too ecchi or makes me question my morals for watching it, like Highschool DxD and Kissxsis (I haven't seen or read either of those, but my friends, who aren't nearly as innocent as I am, began and then promptly stopped watching them and told me never to. Except one who still enjoys them, but he's really f***ing weird.).

I have found that, while I really love good, fun action, like TTGL, Kill la Kill, and DBZ, I really, really, really enjoy calm/philosophical shows like Kino's Journey, Mushishi, and Spice & Wolf. I'm also a sucker for romance, so things like Toradora!, Zero no Tsukaima, and Ouran High School Host Club (my top three romances, in that order) are lovely.

I can watch almost any horror, but it's not of favorite of mine, so I just... don't

The best thing to call one of your friends is really f***ing weird.

I'm the opposite. I love calm shows and enjoy fun action.

He brings it upon himself naturally, and in addition a lot of what he does is on purpose. He agrees with us that he's really f***ing weird.

I was kind of using "love" and "enjoy" as synonyms (I prefer a varied vocabulary). The opposite of really liking both genres equally against each other  is the same thing. I just said it in that fashion because I grew up watching pretty much your standard shounen shows (which makes sense since I was part of the target audience), but eventually picked up on calmer series and watched them just as much.

I tend to like Drama and Action series: TTGL, Code Geass, Steins;Gate (more the former), AoT, etc. Anime sucked me in with their flashy, awesome battles and that much hasn't changed.

I'm a sucker for romance as well, though. Clannad, Toradora, Pet Girl of Sakurasou are a few I've really enjoyed.

Slice of life can be good, but it can also be really generic. When I watch them, there needs to be some hook, like funny comedy (Plastic Nee-san), pure endearment (Bunny Drop), or a unique premise and does stuff with it (Tari Tari).

Comedy, drama, slice of life, romance, and yuri.

I tend to prefer action taking a secondary side, possible as that may be, except in some cases. Other than that I'm okay unless it gets too horror (like Maki said, I can watch, I just don't because I don't all too well like it). I can't actually say about yaoi considering I've never really tried it, but I'm a straight guy. I do like yaoi parodys on occasion, though.

id say that Mecha, Shoujo, and Action series are my personal preferences, though i do like some of the others, nothing beats watching some Evangelion, Sanrio, and Kill La Kill.

Also another favorite genre of mine that isnt listed would be Experimental, i loves me some Tamala 2010 and Cat Soup mindfuckery.
