No names or anything on it to say its yours. Theme: Create a card that forces your opponent to pick between 2 or more effects that leave them at a disadvantage. CARD AThis card can be Special Summoned from your hand when your opponent fails a Coin Toss or Dice Roll. When this face-up monster is selected as an attack target, your opponent must send the top card of their Deck to the Graveyard or Banish 1 monster from their Graveyard. Once per turn, this card cannot be destroyed by battle. The controller of this face-up card Banishes 2 cards from their Graveyard during each of their Standby Phases (this not optional) . If they cannot, Banish this card.CARD BWhen your opponent declares an attack: Your opponent chooses 1 of these effects.*Shuffle the attacking monster into the Deck.*Send all monsters they control, except the attacking monster, to the Graveyard. Flash Flyer - Sakura Posted May 11, 2014 Report Share Posted May 11, 2014 Card A has two effects that'll hurt the opponent, but also a nasty side effect for you (harsher version of the first). Factoring in meta stuff, Lightsworns / Zombies could care less about the Deck discard (since they send stuff there anyway). For banishing in the Graveyard, Rulers and some other stuff don't really care about it. Summoning effect is unique but is iffy (considering coin tosses have Second Coin or something else to redo them and Dice Re-roll exists for others; latter I don't hear about it often, if at all) Card B definitely throws the opponent around for a loop: Either they lose their attacking monster to the Deck OR everything else dies. My vote has to go for B since it sticks to the theme and doesn't end up giving you a heavy disadvantage for effects that won't really bother the opponent much, depending on their Deck. Card A's effects are nice, but as I just mentioned, some cards actually benefit from the forced discard/banish. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Therrion Posted May 11, 2014 Report Share Posted May 11, 2014 Card A is just...bad, quite honestly. The banishing might not really be bad, and milling will more than likely be welcomed. The cost on this card is absurd and not necessary, and really, just puts the nail into the coffin. Both effects on Card B seem like they were made because someone is spicy that destroying doesn't do as much as it used to. I think the second option should destroy, not send, but that's just minor beef. I also feel like it shouldn't be a Counter Trap, but I'm nitpicking. The self-summoning effect can VERY rarely be applied (I cant think of many dice roll effects that "fail" apart from Snipe Hunter) , meaning you wont be running her for this effect. Secondly, sending the top card of the opponent's deck to their grave isn't usually that bad for them anymore, so they would probably always choose that: it doesn't necessarily leave them at a disadvantage as the contest sates. As for the self-harming effect, its unnecessary and makes the card bad, as it wouldn't have been that good without a forceful banish of more than your opponent has to(just nitpicking, but why give the opponent a choice and not you as to which cost to pay?). Card B: I personally think that this card being a counter trap makes it a bit too good, or at least a staple trap for every deck. Not only can cards like lance not be activated in response like with mirror force, but bothe effects stop any monsters that protect themselves anyway, defeating their purpose. Shuffling into the deck is better than to the hand, so it is technically better than a compuls (being a counter trap), and combined with the "send to the grave" wording, it does come across as a response to the trusty traps of old not working as well as they used to. Overall though, I'm voting for Card B, as it is more true to the theme, and generally more usable than Card A. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Grats :)Quick word on my Card (Card A) To be honest the Theme was very difficult for me to work with. I am usually better with easier themes haha.
