Your Wishlists for a Pokemon Game

So I thought i'd compile all of my ideas that I had for Pokemon that I want included one day. They are a bit in detail, and a lot of them are plot-based to help get away from the basic structure.

Now, in addition to my wishes, I welcome you to post the kinds of things you may want in a future game. Ideas I + several others like and enjoy may be put up here in the OP, as well.

IMO, one of the best things to happen to the Pokemon plot was N's attack on the Elite 4 on B/W. Here's some other ideas I have.
Imagine having beaten the first Gym Leader. She's very friendly, she gives you her PokeNav number or what have you, and you're off again on your adventure. But, on your journey to the second gym- oh no! The region's infamous crime syndicate is planning something diabolical!

Having no other direction to go but into the fray, you set off to investigate the strange goings-on. When you reach the end of the dungeon, a cloaked figure stands in front of a Pokemon/item/statue. They turn. They speak to you.

"Mheheheh, trainer. How interesting that my underlings were incapable of holding you off. Though, I should have expected as much from you."

They remove their cloak to reveal, they are in fact the first Gym Leader!

This creates a shock factor in the plot. The Gym Leader turns out to be an admin for the crime syndicate, and the team's Pokemon Type is the same as her Gym's type, but of course she is using different Pokemon.

After defeating the Elite 4, you can return the the first gym to find a new leader has been named - perhaps your friend/rival - and you can fight them daily.
Its always a surprise to find out who the Champion is, even if you don't want to admit it. You can say you may have guessed it all along, but one is never quite sure until they arrive. Here's a similar idea.
You finally arrive at the very last city before the path to Victor Road. Having just trekked along the most perilous route you have yet to see, your Pokemon are eager to get to the Pokemon Center to rest up. Not really looking around town just yet, you set your sights to the Pokemon Center.

Inside, where one would expect to see Nurse Joy and her counter, is instead an elevator. How odd, you might think, a multi-layered Pokemon Center. You step inside, surely Nurse Joy is just downstairs?

Well she is downstairs, but not just. Joy is the 8th Gym Leader, and each of her trainers in the gym is a Doctor or Nurse. Dont worry about healing your Pokemon, the first trainer within this gym doesn't want to battle, just heal.

After a small maze you finally reach Nurse Joy, and her ultimate Fairy-Type fighting team lead, of course, by Chansey.

This makes the 8th Gym, arguably the least entertaining and most irrelevant gym in the game, interesting and unique. No one would ever expect a Nurse to be a Gym Leader, especially one so powerful.

A Togekiss, Chansey, and other powerful Fairy-Types would grace her party, and rather than the usual item stock, Nurse Joy is a difficult opponent in that she has 4 Hyper Potions and a Full Heal, in addition to each of her Pokemon holding a berry!
One of my favorite features of the Hoenn Region was the vast ocean the player could explore. It would seem I would discover a new island or dive spot every time I went there, a new item with each adventure. I've wanted something like this again for quite some time.
Exploring the region, you finally exit the vast mountain cave and arrive on a new route, in the sun once more. In front of you is a city, but there dont appear to be any boundaries to the route you're on, just a wall in front of the city...

If you explore a bit, you'll find that this route is not a straightforward cutaway path through a forest; this is a massive plain of grass, small trees, brush, and three cities to be accessed from it. One could spend days exploring this area, each trek through the grass discovering a new item, each day a new tree, each season a new pond. And somewhere in this expansive landscape, perhaps a legendary Pokemon.

Part of the idea here that isnt explained well above is dynamism. This area would change slightly each day, to the point it could be different each month. Trees could be blocking your way into a small circle with an item, but tomorrow they may be gone. Of course, this area would need to be accessible only once Fly is obtained, so that players cannot get permanently stuck.

This offers a dynamic adventure and aspect of exploration that the player can always come back to.
Throughout the games the player has been taken to the headquarters of some of the most prominent corporations in the Pokemon world; Silph Co., the Pokeball Factory, the Devon Corporation, etc. But there's an important company we have yet to fully analyze...
You enter the largest city of the region, eager to visit the mall, explore the vast skyscrapers, and of course, take on the city's gym. You search for the familiar red roofing of the Pokemon Center. But what you find instead is far more magnificent.

This is the Pokemon Center World Headquarters, at which new healing technologies are developed, tested, and produced. Lead by none other than the CEO of the PC Corp. himself, you receive a grand tour of the towering structure, through the R&D Laboratories, the training floor, offices, and finally the most important piece of the puzzle, the central mainframe of the Pokemon Storage System, from which stems out to the servers throughout the many regions.

Not a whole lot to say on this, just a new company for the player to explore. I have other plans, but in the interest of my protection in the event I get around to developing a hacked rom, ill keep them to myself, in this case ;3

Maybe the player could get temporary jobs here like at the hotel in X/Y, discounted items at the Pokemart, and perhaps a higher chance of a Pokemon acquiring PokeRus if stored in the central mainframe.
I'll add more of my ideas/thoughts as I get more time to type them up. I would enjoy your comments on the ones currently present.

I like your idea that the 1st Gym leader is the Crime Syndicate's Admin, as I love basically all the twists in Pokémon games: the Giovanni reveal as the 8th leader in R/B, your Rival being the champion (and to a lesser extent, all the champions since being who they were - by Diantha, it wasn't a twist at all). For some reason the good character turning out to be the 'evil team' boss is the best though, and I had a similar idea, but with the Proffesor (too much? probably).

As for the open route idea, I think it is what the game needs, as I always thought that it was weird how all the forests had one set path, and the various 'natural routes' were so rigid. However, I do only see it as 1 place instead of all the Routes like you said, maybe post-E4, to encourage coming back to the game to see the various changes. Maybe there should still be a path to follow so player's don't get lost and can easily go from A to B, but are encouraged to explore by rare pokemon/ TMs etc, and those who really go far can find this legendary.

Overall, sounds good and I look forward to seeing more!

(Do you think you could make this a place where everyone could put wishes, and start discussions, as I've also got loads of dream ideas for my ideal game)

First off, thanks for your enthusiasm :) I'm glad you enjoyed!

I suppose I can change this topic for everyone's wishlist. Maybe the best ones + mine get put in the OP?

First idea rejected I would like the Crime boss to be a kid about your age who travels with you and challenges you after you beat the 8th gym leader.

Second, Dark-type gym. It should be time.

Third, I want a hot female champion dressed like a bikini wearing belly dancer with Fire-types, a Solrock, a Lunatone and have a Medicham which can Mega Evolve. And it should be a double battle similar to Colosseum and Gale of Darkness.

If I'm reading that right then you think my first idea involving the 1st Gym Leader meant they would be the crime boss; that isnt what it was saying. They'd be one of the admins, the 2nd tier, just below the boss.

Plot twist: your starter mon is the crime boss.

I just want a console Pokemon game with a Linear Motion Battle System, like the Tales games. PokePark's battles sort of had it, albeit very simple.

I want one like Ni No Kuni's battle system.

That'd also be cool, you could control multiple Pokemon in a single battle, assuming you're talking about that aspect of Ni No Kuni. My idea would be more 1v1 focused, since that's how most Pokemon battles are.

Yeah, just being able to move around and attack. I wouldn't mind if it even got into the range of a twitch-action battle.

I just always imagined the LMBS fitting perfectly for Pokemon since you can move/jump/dodge/etc. freely around a battlefield, so it's not static turn-based battles, and the attack format fits by having a standard attack on A, and the four moves on B + directions.

Definitely would like to see a Dark gym; since we haven't gotten one since they were even introduced in Gen 2.

As for gameplay stuff.

- 2v2 and 3v3 for gyms (much like XD)

- Give options to refuse a battle from an NPC [It really ticks me off when some random Hiker/Youngster decides to fight me, and I'm in no mood to fight (i.e. team is halfway dead + needs to go to PC/heal)]

- Have them rematchable once per day (if you beat them).

- Throw Shadow Pokemon in there somewhere.

- More move tutors (aside from the Pledges/Elemental Hyper Beam/Draco Meteor). X/Y disappointed a lot of us in this section.

- Champion should have one legendary Pokemon, from whatever isn't on Smogon's banned list at the time. (Make it challenging)

- Reintroduction of secret bases / decorating room.

- Alternate ways to catch event Pokemon (much like XD did with Lugia in Gen 3)

I agree with the first thing in OP; would be fun to throw a psychological aspect in here.

-Gym Leaders use Pokemon scaled to your level

-Elite Four is at level cap

-Wild Pokemon are at a level based on how far away from civilization you are, stick to main roads and everything is low level.  Stray off the beaten path and everything is 60+.  Basically,

KEEP OUT OF TALL GRASS

-Pokemon have access to all their attacks but can only "equip" 4 at a time.

-TM's are unlimited, but using one requires a generic consumable that becomes easily farmable at the end of the game.

-Can complete Gyms in almost any order.
