FIRE support?

Please tell me if the OCG is incorrect.
I have created a generally offensive FIRE monster which fits very nicely in FIRE decks, although an unstructured Dragon deck could also use it I guess. Firstly, it boasts a considerable 1750 ATK. Though this isn't largely impressive in the modern format, the fact that it is also immune to spells gives it an extra line of defence if your opponent is using a weak deck with powerful (to an extent) spell cards. Finally, it's FIRE discard effect gives it a nice offensive touch which can keep dealing heavy damage to your opponent until they get rid of it with a monster or trap card. This effect is balanced because you have to discard FIRE monsters which can be useful in battle. It is also banished when sent to the graveyard, just in case people thought it was a bit OP, although it probably isn't even that good. Anyway, please give your thoughts or else the writing of this paragraph may have been a waste of time and effort on my behalf. Thanks.

The OCG is off. Here's how you'd word it:
"If this Face-up card is targeted by a Spell Card: negate that card's activation/effect and if you do destroy it. Once per turn, you can Discard 1 FIRE Monster with 1700 or more ATK to Inflict 1000 Damage to your Opponent. If this card is sent to the Graveyard, Banish it."

The problem I see is that most Monsters now already have 1800+ ATK to be able to run over this. And why does the Monster need 1700 or more ATK when we have comparable cards that already can burn for more fast? And why Banish it when it dies?

Overall, nice idea, but I think most decks won't need to be all that concerned or even use this card...

Why banish the card, can I get a response here? Its a basic Burn effect and like the user above said; 1700Atk really limits it's usage which makes this card unusable, it's better to abuse its effect a while than prevent it from spell cards, which also prevents your spells.

I'd go with something like this: Once per turn: You can Tribute a FIRE monster you control; Inflict 1000 damage to your opponent. During your standby phase: Inflict x200 damage to you and your opponent for each additional FIRE monster on the field.

It needs to burn, that's what fire monsters do. But it's good anyways :)

I see now how I have underpowered it (I've been inactive in the Yugioh world and have little knowledge on any card sets past 2011) so this seemed like a balanced card to me originally. Your idea is better than mine I admit, but discarding tends to dump cards in the graveyard for combo's AND doesn't cancel out your normal summon sometimes.

RESPONSE TO BANISHING IT: I am more concerned about people saying I overpowered the card rather than the other way round, so I decided to banish it as a balancing effect when I thought this card was decent.
