Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire

Phantom Roxas

Looking at recommended Smogon sets, it doesn't appear that Amaura really needs any egg moves (though this is off Aurorus's page).
For potential parent stuff, not too much it can offer.

I need to get my Amaura soon, though it shouldn't take me more than 2-3 minutes to enter the code and get stuff.

And a note to myself; always carry a Steel-Type.

When I breed I try to give the pokemon any decent egg move on the off chance I'll need it. Its why my DD Altaira has Hyper Voice. From that list only Discharge is even worth the effort to get on her.

Considering how rarely I play in tournaments, egg moves aren't really on my list.

Although I did spend a considerable amount of time trying to get Bullet Punch on a Lucario, so....

In terms of Altaria, mine's physical so can't really use Hyper Voice (in Mega form). Whether or not Nai appreciates it, I don't know.

I considered a special one, so I can spam Draco Meteors and stuff with it.

Oh yeah, and Belly Drum for Slurpuff (which requires a long chain breeding to get through).

Anyway, I have to transfer my Modest Ditto over from X to AS; although I'll manage Yin's Amaura request if you're still busy, Berserker.

(I have my Amaura, but because of college stuff, I can't breed until tomorrow afternoon)

Wild CoroCoro update appeared!

corocoro-hoopa-1.jpg

As expected, Hoopa Unbound has been revealed in this month's CoroCoro as the "surprise factor" for The Archdjinn of Rings - Hoopa. The magazine also revealed that the Legendary Pokemon to be distributed with the movie are Kyogre, Groudon, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, and Kyurem. As stated a few months ago, you can download the Pokemon when you preorder tickets to the film and take your tickets to participating stores such as Pokemon Centers.

All of the Legendary Pokemon come at Level 100. Kyogre is holding a Choice Scarf and knows Water Spout, Thunder, Sheer Cold, and Ice Beam. Groudon is holding a Choice Band and knows Fire Punch, Solar Beam, Hammer Arm, and Rock Slide. Dialga is holding its Adamant Orb and knows Metal Burst, Overheat, Roar of Time, and Flash Cannon. Palkia is holding its Lustrous Orb and knows Earth Power, Aura Sphere, Spacial Rend, and Hydro Pump. Giratina is holding its Griseous Orb and knows Aura Sphere, Draco Meteor, Shadow Force, and Iron Head. Kyurem is holding a Life Orb and knows Glaciate, Scary Face, Draco Meteor, and Iron Head. Hopefully we'll get these Pokemon for download too!

Not gonna lie, I wasn't expecting Hoopa Unbound's reveal till like June.

I expected Aegislash and Talonflame to be up there; that much is certain.

Sylveon was somewhat expected, and now serves as more of a motivation to hurry up and get a Modest 5 IV Eevee to evolve into one (with HA).

Landorus, that much was to be expected (and also motivation to catch mine in ORAS)

---

And yeah, this is something Smogon would likely have.

To be fair, they probably did have something like that pre-Gen 6.

Well, I know they had a list of checks/counters for each Poke.

The list is pretty predictable. Aegis, Talon, Kanga, Lando are all in insane pokemon in both single are doubles (two are uber for a reason). Sylv and Bisharp were a bit more shocking for me though Sylv at least makes sense given Hyper Voice.

And thats just it. The post date mining stuff from Pokemon Online and that has the EXACT same type of things. Item %, Move %, Checks %. Only thing missing is team mates. The fact that the official pokemon site is putting out info like the premier competitive site is incredible to me.

I transferred that Modest Ditto over from Bank, so suppose I can get started on breeding that Sylveon I want [I got the parent Eevee/Espeon with the IVs in the intended spots; now just have to breed it].

And also that Amaura if people are still looking for it at this point in time.

Then again, there's a few things I need to breed anyway; including a Togekiss for ORAS.

I just want to know what the other items used by Talonflame were, I can see Flying Gem. But from the percentages the highest was Life Orb at about 37%, so there had to have been several different items.

I have a feeling Charizard Y would be another on the list had they extended it past a team of 6. As well as Rotom-Wash (which is sad as it's the most boring design...anyway). What else....Ferrothorn and Foongus probably.

I know Choice Band was listed. If I had to guess Leftovers was also used since Tailwind support is amazing in doubles.

You can get a sense of other common pokemon by looking at the check list. Both Charizard and Rotom-W were mentioned so I'd assume both are also widely used.

Since I know a number of people here like Flygon

The official Nintendo Dream magazine recently conducted an interview with Oomori Shigeru, Ken Sugimori, Shigeki Morimoto, and Iwao Kazumasa from Gamefreak. In it, Ken Sugimori revealed that the reason Mega Flygon doesn’t exist is because Gamefreak was experiencing, well, artist’s block! Thanks goes to Sean T. for the translation below and @karubiimunomono for providing the magazine scan!

Sugimori: For Aarune, he needed to have a Pokemon that could use the moves Fly and Secret Power, which are perfect moves for finding Secret Bases. And the only Hoenn Pokemon that wasn’t used by a key character that fit that criteria was Flygon. It does not Mega Evolve, but I really like Flygon.

Interviewer: Key characters often carry a Pokemon that can Mega Evolve, but Flygon is an exception, right?

Sugimori: Flygon has had the potential to have a Mega Evolution since XY, but we were unable to complete a design and so it was dropped from consideration.

So chances are that if Gamefreak ever does complete a design they’re happy with, we’ll get Mega Flygon?

So it's possible we'll see one in Gen 7 or something.

That much, I'm happy to hear.

At least we know Gamefreak did consider it at one point, but just that they couldn't build on the original design.

I just hope that when they get to it; Mega Flygon has an acceptable design and appropriate increased stats where needed.

---

Anyway, I'm still breeding the HA Amauras; have 1-2 right now.

I know British wanted one, but don't recall if anyone else did?

(If I'm unavailable, Berserker should be able to fill them instead)

EDIT: Ah yes, BehindTheMask and Yin wanted one; looking at the back pages.

I'm kinda glad they hadn't made Mega-Flygon. Cause if they were unsure on a design and they made something it would be half-hearted and bad.

Hopefully this will mean when they eventually do make it it will be well done.

Still trying to figure out the best way to do it. Tinted lenses and a boost to Attack and Speed seems the obvious choice.

Though I didn't state it beforehand, I would like an HA Amaura as well. Are you looking for something specific? I might be able to breed it / have it lingering around. Otherwise I could trade you a female Bagon / Riolu / Ralts with 5 IVs at 31 (all of them have regular abilities and are in a Luxury Ball).

For those of you who are interested in my friend code, it is as follows: 5472-6221-7209. Please notify me about your friend code should you add mine. My X&Y friend safari sports Rock types (Boldore, Onix and Shuckle), if that is what you wanted to know.
