Flame Dragon
I would probably assume that you can. Provided that it's not Precipice Blades, Origin Pulse, Dragon Ascent or some other ORAS-exclusive moves, should be fine. Although it's late and I can't really test that theory at the moment. What Poke did you have in mind about doing this? Greninja and Gunk Shot Pangoro and Knock Off Malimar and Knock Off Chesnaught and Drain Punch
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
Greninja and Gunk Shot Pangoro and Knock Off Malimar and Knock Off Chesnaught and Drain Punch I had no idea there were so many Pokemon that got new moves. Those are really good ones for them too, wow.... Unless they always had them and i'm an idiot. Anyway, just beat Brawly. Using Surskit and Mudkip. Was gonna get a Sableye but can't until you get the Mach Bike which sucks.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
You can probably import one from X/Y if you have the game and/or PokéBank. But I can see if you'd rather keep your Pokes Hoenn native. Keep in mind XY lacked any move tutors, save for the elemental pledges/Hyper Beams and Draco Meteor; so would appear ORAS gave them new moves to play with. All the gen 6 mons have a bunch of new moves. http://pastebin.com/8rbu6Fmp Full list. Those are the specific ones I cares about since I've already breed them in Y and was curious if I could move them into OR, give them the move, and move them back. I already did that with my other pokemon since I had a TON of BP saved up in the bank. And yea, I feel your pain. I wanted Mawile and was VERy sad to learn I wouldn't have her until I got the bike. One of the few bad changes imo. Doesn't help the pokemon levels are still the same in the cave.

Okay just skimming them and wow some really good moves there, glad I know now instead of later on Showdown when I freak out about why, say, Slurpuff Drain Punches me. But yes, that really bothered me! I looked it up and noticed the levels, even the trainers there have low levels, it's such a pointless change....Though there are some cool changes. Like the name rater in the little TV/Radio thing. "You took 10 seconds deciding this nickname so that should tell you all you need to know." Such sass. XD Had to edit this in cause HOLY COW a random trainer's level 14 Zigzagoon just used Surf and that was amazing.
Cin
It did make me laugh when I saw the name rater say that about Ryuu my Male Salamence (I couldn't be bothered to try and breed for a female in honor on my original) which I did literally name in the 10 seconds it took to get the letters. Love that the encounter rate is down in the water now, only had any water encounters when I started going towards Sootpolis. And now I've discovered I have to wait ages to get Salamence's Mega Stone. ~British Soul~
Love that the encounter rate is down in the water now, only had any water encounters when I started going towards Sootpolis. I like that as well, it was tedious geting encounters every 3 steps or something. One of my friends was joking around saying that I'll probs get another shiny Tentacool, but with the lowered encounter rate, I was like "not bloody likely mate"
evilfusion
I suspect Move Tutor compatibility was already programmed into X/Y, the tutors just weren't available, and the only moves they'll take issue with are the exclusive moves, like Origin Pulse. No idea, though.
Yemachu
As long as the moves, which move tutors learn, are available in Pokemon X and Y, I don't see why you cannot trade said Pokemon. Assuming not much has changed about how a Pokemon is stored in memory since Gen III, this article on Bulbapedia (might be a tad complicated) should implicitly explain why you should be able to trade said pokemon. Trading a pokemon is not much more than sending data back and forth. The data includes things like: held item, IVs, nickname, species and moves known by the pokemon. Since information about the move is stored in the game itself ('always' the same order), the Pokemon data only needs to store the index of the move; 2 bytes suffice for now (with which you can refer to 65536 different moves). When trading, the game only needs to make sure that the receiver has all indexes; if that is the case, a Pokemon will just be the same in that game. Astro Dude
Well, maxed out all my Cosplay Pikachu's contest stats and win the Cool contest Master rank. I plan on winning with just that. Beauty: Icicle Crash, Charge Beam, Flash, Light Screen Cute: Draining Kiss, Facade, Return, Tail Whip Cleverness: Electric Terrain, Dig, Hidden Power, Grass Knot Tough: Flying Press, Slam, Strength, Rock Smash. Will rely of TM's Heart Scales and level ups.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Personally, I'd just use one Pokémon per contest category. ---- Latios already won Beauty + as mentioned earlier, it's already trained to kill the E4/Battle Institute or whatever, so no chance of doing all contests. Raikou might be my Cool one, but depends if I get better appeal moves [as it stands, Thunderbolt is the highest one with 4 stars]. Otherwise, I might have to clutch in the first round with its Coolness. Terrakion might be a good candidate for Toughness though; and I've gotten a ton of those strong berries that are good at boosting it. As for Cute / Smart, I haven't decided. (I really don't want to use baby Pokes like the NPCs are; also more shameful if I lose to one)
The Warden
Just saying, but you get more points in the appeal round by having stats in all 5 attributes, so Rainbow pokeblocks are always the way to go.

Max out it's cleverness, give it a Green Scarf, and use a Calm Mind/Psychic combo. Worked for me in RSE. As for cute... Well... That probably no one can answer. Cin
Got everyone to around the same level, Wallace's Gym looks fun, just watch me mess it up repeatedly. Groudon Lv 53 - Eruption, EQ, Lava Plume, Rest Metagross Lv 53 - Zen Headbutt, Iron Head, Pursuit (Might replace), EQ Salamence Lv 52 - Dragon Claw, Fire Fang, Brick Break/EQ?, Fly Gyarados Lv 52 - Ice Fang, Crunch, Aqua Tail (will replace with Waterfall), EQ Sceptile Lv 52 - Hidden Power (Fire), Energy Ball, Mega Drain (need to replace), Toxic Azumarill (HM Slave) Lv 50 Really need to sort out Groudon's move set, Lava Plume and Eruption are just terrible. Might have to temporarily put TMs in it until I can get access to the Move Tutor to get Thunder and Fire Punch. Bear in mind this is an ingame team and is more about type coverage. Anyone got suggestions of before Elite 4 moves I can use on Groudon ? I have most of the TMs on X

Catman25
Just beasted all the contests with my Salamence. And Lisia was hitting the fifth star, but I somehow pulled off a win. The Ribbon battle entry animation isn't as cool as I thought it would be, but meh.

The lack of new Pokemon in Hoenn was a stupid decision, and while pretty, it's like a glorified ROM Hack for most of the game. This is how I feel about it. As much as I love Gen 3, I was seriously hoping they would update the Wild Pokemon encounters... Oh well, at least I can do Wonderwedlockes still, that's close to good enough for me. Agro
Main difference between HGSS and ORAS for me was just how less nostalgic I am towards RSE. I was playing that game on my GBA less than a year ago with no problem. My copy of Gold doesn't even work anymore. I was just not at all excited to get into Hoenn again. The music barely even feels improved, which is constantly the most important thing to me in the Pokémon remake category. Game itself feels more balanced level-wise than XY, but fails to resolve issues from the original RSE (too much water tbh is a good complaint) while also actually lacking good changes from XY. Cin
I forget Groudon gets 1 turn Solarbeam, thanks for the suggestions, I'll get X to add them on. Have had to take off Red Orb from Groudon, it got annoying. I'm in Victory Road now. Got fed up with Wallace's Puzzle as per usual. Too much water was made up by the encounter rate reduction, I don't get why everyone complains about the water.

Because its still more of a hassle than its worth and I couldn't actually notice the difference in encounter rates because random battles are still a nuisance?
