Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire

Phantom Roxas

I keep a living Dex in my X's PC. I know how tedious it can be. But on the side, at least I was able to transfer them all to my AS so I had a finished Nat Dex (bar some event legends) right from the start.

Also, I'm loving Sea Mauville. It delivers such lovely little pieces of backstory, like how Prof. Cozmo's father worked on the Sea Mauville.

I forgot how much I hate Magikarp. Atleast I only have 4 more levels before Metang and Grovyle can stop baby sitting.

Did get my first HA from Dex Nav which was fun even if it was just a Zigzagoon. It was more of just a test really. Highest is about Lv 50 on Zigzagoon, have heard it goes 600+

Steven was so much quicker to get to in Granite Cave than I remember, don't know if I like that or not. I can see about Dex Nav being annoying with Caves, when I tested it with a Zubat.

Bank was the best investment I've made (Bar RS Box that was amazing even if every new OT using it just got a Swablu egg), I already got my Dex to 201 (bar the 9 legendaries in the Hoenn dex as to not confuse the game) and I've set a calendar reminder for when it runs out.  Should breed the last few Pokemon for a full visual Pokedex.

Just noticed Watson has gotten easier, so even without trying I'm still overleveled.

Realized I was silly when working out what Sceptile needed, but it does now have Hidden Power Fire so bonus.

Despite my availability to use the bank, I'd rather buy an e-Shop card and use it to pay off the Bank and download some other stuff as well. I'm not going to rely on credit for this one.

As for now, I'm still doing the dauntless and yet tedious task of catching every single solitary Pokemon in every area. Right now I'm onto the Desert Pass, and before that, it was a freaking pain getting Quick Balls and Max Repels just to wait for the Nat. Dex pokemon to appear. I really do not have much money now, so aside from the Mauville Food Court, are there any other places where I can grind for cash?

Yeah. Too bad the Battle Chateau doesn't exist in Hoenn. But oh well.

Did I forget to mention my Shroomish has Poison Heal?

Fawful's Minion just gave me a clever strategy: I give my Breloom, with poison heal, a Toxic Orb and teach it Facade. Here:

Number 88.

Also, beat Roxanne and got the Stone Badge.

New team:

Shroomish lv 12 (with help from Pokemon amie), Beldum lv. 10. (Will be obedient until level 20), Astra level 11 now has Disarming Voice, Tengu Man, my Seedot, who evolved into Nuzleaf and knows Razor Leaf, Mudkip level 14, and Zigzagoon level 8 who got me a Hyper Potion.

Now time for me to play Lumberjack. You can guess why.

Zigzagoons are pretty useful until you get a full team just to get random items, mine will probably sit with me until I get Groudon.

X got me. Energy Ball, Toxic, Hidden Power Fire (Grovyle - Pure dumb luck there Ice or Rock might have been nicer), EQ for Metang, EQ, Ice Beam (Temp until I can get to Fang) for Gyarados. A little sad about not being able to get Waterfall on Gyarados yet because of the HM limit they did for XY.  EQ is my favourite move so it was only a matter of time and that will get over Grovyle's poor damage.

Gyarados (23)

Metang (25)

Grovyle (25)

Zigzagoon (19) - Pick Up/HM Slave atm.

Just getting Gyarados to 25 before I take on Watson. When do we get to the Mega Evolution storyline or is that alot later?

Atleast Dex Nav ends Lv 5 Ralts with Growl. That was a bumper on another run not being able to hit with anything (then again another again I started with an Eevee that could do no damage to Normal Types as it started with Shadow Ball and Toxic)

Its REALLY frustrating that you can't get the pokemon in the cave until after you've gotten your bike. I think that was a pretty frustrating change. Especially since the pokemon aren't at a higher level.

Cobalion does learn Swords Dance at level 49; you're finding it at 50, so...

But yeah, even my Rayquaza/Mega Latias can't keep fending its SD attacks forever; even if they're higher level or have better defenses.

Ended up with a Naive natured one in the end; I wanted a Jolly one like most of the other Swords since it really doesn't have a lot of special options, but a mix set is probable.

@Yin: Yeah, it appears some of the leaders have gotten a little easier, compared to what they did back in RSE.

Though Mauville does have a food court that functions similarly to the Lumiose cafés; those prove challenging to an extent.

The Mauville Food Court is actually pretty challenging, especially the Triple Battles for the special Ramen.

At one point, it's Lilligant and 2 Lickilickys. Thing is, Lilligant uses Teeter Dance in the center to confuse every Pokemon, while the Lickylickies are unaffected because of Own Tempo. Then there's a guy that uses a bunch of Dark-type Pokemon all with the intimidate ability. So generally at the beginning of that battle your Pokemon have already lost 2-3 stages of Atk. To be honest, the Ramen Triple Battle challenge is pretty hard to manage in 8 turns, but it gets a lot of cash.

The Doubles however, is more easier and Rich Boys/Girls are seen there more often so battling them with the Amulet Coin is more ideal.

Where does one get the Amulet Coin? I have five badges and I don't have it yet. Or maybe I do and haven't noticed.

I have no money problems because three of my Linoones have Pickup. I am tempted to transfer an ability capsule to change at least one of the Gluttony ones. I don't want to replace the ones I have because they have been with me the entire journey.

I think your mom gives it to you after you beat your dad.

Even if I'm wrong you can just buy the luck incense at slateport.

Yeah, you get Amulet Coin after beating Norman.

Conversely, the Luck Incense will do until then (save it for Happiny breeding, if you actually want to do that)

On other notes, beat Hyper Rank for Beauty contests with one of my Eons.

Of course, I had to change out one of his moves for a while [Roost for Flash; remind me to change it back when I go back to regular training], but other than that, Draco Meteor / Surf / Psyshock were standard. Also felt good smashing that arrogant rich boy Chaz in said contest (wonder if Gamefreak borrowed his character from the similarly named one in Season 1 GX). Guess pumping beauty stats is worth it; now to figure out what shall be my Master Rank performance.

(For tiering reasons, I used OU-level Poke, everyone else uses NUs; go figure)

Going away from contests, might as well kill E4 again; if only to open the portals for Entei and the rest of Lake Trio I haven't caught yet.

Not sure if the Eon Flute works if Latias/os isn't in your party. I haven't tested it, since I've used Latias ever since I got it.

Anyway, I somehow got the Eon ticket via Streetpass today. Not sure when or where, but I got it. And how convenient, right after completing my Shiny Charm project.
