Those fiendish bastards!

It's alright. Rayquaza in this game has a surprisingly high catch rate, so it's easy to catch him on the first Ultra Ball or so. Yet, after 6 resets accidentally killing Deoxys, I finally caught it...boy Hoenn Legendaries are actually challenging and worth my time to struggle through.

Yeah, I had to manually decipher Rayquaza's IVs during the Zinnia battle; using hypothetical min/max stats with a certain nature.

That certainly wasn't fun at all. [Always seemed to get a perfect HP IV though]

As for Deoxys, I had to paralyze it and make sure I didn't kill it in one hit; given its low defenses and a lot of my Pokes having maxed attacking stats for their level.

Came out Gentle nature, but not really caring at this point. Still perfects on Speed and both attacking stats.

About to storm Magma's Hideout. Team atm

Shinigami, the Careful Dusclops. Level 45
Thassa, the Modest Milotic. Level 45
Gyroid, the Sassy Claydol. Level 47
Crinoidea, the Quiet Cradily. Level 51
Audrey, the Quiet Mawile. Level 52
Horus, the Gentle Blaziken. Level 55

The one shame is that I haven't really used a whole lot of Mawile since she levels so fast and I want to keep Blaziken as my highest level pokemon. Lucky for me was able to give them more space when going through route 123 since I needed fly to make it easier to get everything and no one on my team learns it, so I dropped her.

And 7th badge get. Had Hydro Pump miss twice and once Light Screen + Sun were up I had to switch out Milotic.

Team now

Shinigami, the Careful Dusclops. Level 50
Thassa, the Modest Milotic. Level 50
Gyroid, the Sassy Claydol. Level 50
Crinoidea, the Quiet Cradily. Level 53
Audrey, the Quiet Mawile. Level 55
Horus, the Gentle Blaziken. Level 56

Well, through using Synchronize, I was able to get a Modest Kyogre on my first try - with perfect IVs in HP, Attack, Special Attack, and Speed. And with just 2 Ultra Balls (though it was at exactly 1 HP and asleep); I was kind of expecting a harder time when it broke out of my first Ultra Ball without even shaking.

As for Wallace...I guess my weakest Pokemon being 15 levels above his strongest made it a bit too easy... :/

Oh, and I just caught my second shiny of the game in Victory Road, a Hariyama - my first was a Volbeat on the route between Mauville and Verdanturf.

Dawn of the final day: 24 hours remain

(Actually it's less than 24 hours given that there's a midnight release tonight)

Speaking of shinies, I swear if I get ANOTHER shiny Tentacool, I'd be tempted to kill it given that I have 3 of them on X and Y.

That certainly wasn't fun at all.

I can imagine how difficult that would be if you're unable to check its nature inbetween fights.

EDIT:

A patch for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire has been announced that bring the game up to Version 1.2. It will be released in early December.

The patch will fix a bug that sometimes caused the game to freeze during the ending movie displayed after entering the Hall of Fame. The official site recommends that all players download the patch when it is available, even if their game does not exhibit this particular bug.

Just started Omega Ruby. Team so far:

Wumple lv. 5. (Relaxed nature (Not sure if it'll evolve into Silcoon or Cascoon)).

Mudkip level 9

Wurmple lv 2 (Also with Relaxed Nature)

Flamecrunchr, a Poochyena lv 5 that knows Fire Fang.

Wurmple level 2 (Gentle nature. See level 5 concern)

Shiny event Beldum. Level 5 that knows Hold Back. Kinda like False Swipe.

So, what do you think?

I also captured 4 Ralts, two male, one I call Knight Man and two Female one I call Astra the other knowing Shadow Sneak. And I caught a Seedot which I call Tengu Man. Now I caught a Surskit that knows Fell Stinger.

Relaxed nature for Wurmple = Cascoon. You know there should be a chart detailing which natures affect Wurmple's evolution.

Gentle nature for Wurmple = Silcoon.

I think it's based on personality values. It's literally random.

Well my relaxed natured Wumple evolved into a Cascoon and me gentle natured one evolved into Silcoon.

And before anyone asks, no, I am not evolving Mudkip until it reaches level 42. My Mega Swampert's moveset will be Hydro Pump, Muddy Water, Earthquake and to cover it's major weakness, Ice Beam. Which means I will not evolve my soon to be Marshtomp until level 46.

And I'm the champion. Its a pokemon game, so I obviously enjoyed it, but all the little touches were really nice. Anyway, levels at the end

Shinigami, the Careful Dusclops. Level 68
Thassa, the Modest Milotic. Level 70
Gyroid, the Sassy Claydol. Level 67
Crinoidea, the Quiet Cradily. Level 71
Audrey, the Quiet Mawile. Level 69
Horus, the Gentle Blaziken. Level 72

Did not realize 4/6 pokemon hit level 100 with either 800K or 600K EXP so it made them all kind of collect levels REALLY fast at the end. Ended up using Blaziken in every battle once I hit Wally (who has a bitchen theme btw). Going to evolve Dusclops once I have access to the Reaper Cloth, though I'm going to have to back door it with the GTS which really isn't the worse. Going to start up the Delta Episode after I let my system charge up. I won't say the game is beat until after I beat the E4 in a rematch. After that, I'll start moving pokemon from Y over and build up BP for move tutor moves for them.

Just beat the Champion. It was a nice storyline and it had bought back a lot of nostalgia to my first Champion battle when I was 7. The team I used at the time was:
Level 64 Sceptile
Level 46 Blastoise( I had received it through Wonder Trade right before Victory Road at Level 1)
Level 57 Mightyena
Level 70 Glalie( It's the Glalie from the demo)
Level 55 Latios
Level 52 Groudon
I'm going after the Delta Epidode and then I'm planning to get the rest of the other Gen starters( you have to beat the Elite Four for oretty much each generation). Somewhere in between I may go after a few Mirage Spots, as I already went through a few right after the Groudon event( I got a Mesprit and Virizion, both with good natures!)

Was going to play the first one I opened, then remembered if I'm doing an in honor I needed Omega Ruby instead. A little gutted the move tutors are so late so my Groudon is going to look awkward until I get Fire Punch and Thunder Punch.  The biggest decision was which console to play it on, based on if I wanted Mega Glalie straight away and a chance to completed the dex or not. With Bank though I suppose I don't have to use it as a storage game as I had previously.

Going with: Salamence, Groudon, Metagross (Shiny), Sceptile (I figured the reason I had no starter in the team was because it was the run I ditched it at Lv 33, but a Diamond run made me like it again) and Gyarados with Azumarill a tradition RSE HM slave.

Will need to get something with Compound Eyes/Thief to get Heartscales for Night Slash (Sceptile) and Fire Fang (Salamence).

Shame Glacia's team has moved from the mainly Spheal line team though. I used to like having to get an Electric Pokemon just for those, now the only reason I have them is because I want to.

Thanks for the advice. No planning on use Banette, but it's an idea for later. Forgot the Demos heart scales

A Lv 13 Zigzagoon on Route 102 because of the Dex Nav was fun. I'm liking this feature. I have had a chance to get Covet Poochyena on the same route (Since Covet is essential the same as  Thief), but Brendan got me as I was sneaking up on it. I can see it making up the EXP slide introduced in BW. The Shiny Beldum is a bit OP at the beginning of the game with 2 80 power moves.

It might solve the Fire Fang for Salamence, if I just camp Bagon. It saves using Trace to work out HAs like previous. It is making me stay on routes which I thought I wouldn't do since BW's exp change up. So that's a positive thing. Might use Wonder Trade to abuse it a little or abuse the hell out of Bank.

Anyone got any good Pokemon from it yet?

I actually found a few Heart Scales via Rock Smash on the Rocks blocking your path on Route 111

Can we just take a second to appreciate how AMAZING this theme is
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-wYGBi_JyA

Second Place of best theme would go to Zinnia. But among both of their different instrumental approaches to themes, it defines them as a totally different person aside from every one else. And frankly, Wally's guitar is pretty damn badass.
