I named my character "wait... what"

Cause I'm silly.

Right now I my Grovyle is at level 23, and I have me my level 41 Glalie (even though it won't obey me until I get two more gym badges.) Still good to have on me, just in case.

Named my character after self again.

Pretty much going for 4th badge at this point in time.

Already imported the Glalie from demo; along with some stuff from XY (right now, some of my smaller Pokes since not enough badges to use standard XY/W2 things that I'd normally play with).

Chose Torchic for starter; at 25 as Combusken.

Pretty much where I'm at.

Was lucky to have beaten the third gym with Glalie. Still not far enough to have it listen half the time.

My games arrived yesterday as planned, started with Sapphire, chose Treecko. Got the shiny Beldum event, thing is OP early-game. Turned off the ExpShare immediately, because my Pokemon aren't struggling for Exp yet.

Spent a lot of time exploring the functionality of the DexNav, as such, I only just arrived in Dewford.

I have the Beldum, but I didn't save beforehand before getting it from delivery girl (ended up with Gentle nature instead of the Adamant one I should've used).

So yeah, it's just sitting in PC box doing nothing right now.

Unlike XY, I had the Exp Share off for half of the gyms, but I think importing stuff from XY sort of made up for it (considering I have enough badges to keep about half of the W2 legends I have until control now). At this point, I have 5 of my badges [think the leaders had their teams downgraded in Levels from RS from what I remember].

Whether not I'll do contests or not remains to be seen; maybe I'll do the lower rank ones.

It seems weirdly more similar to R/S than Emerald updated, in terms of Gym leader teams, story (obv) and small things like machokes moving stuff into your house instead of vigoroths. Bit of a shame about the Gym teams as I thought emerald made them more Hoenn-y: examples being:

[spoiler='Little Spoiler']Watson has a magnemite, voltorb and magnetron, no manetric - same with Norman having no Linoone and TWO SLAKINGS (oh Christ here we go again).[/spoiler]

So I've gotten 5 gym badges up to Norman, and I've gotten Sceptile, Metang (Event), Kadabra, and Carvanha on my team. I turned on the Exp. Share up to Wattson but I cause I about +10 levels above his Pokemon, I turned it off. Doing the training the old fashioned way seems more fun, and so far Flannery and Archie/Maxie so far are actually challenging.

Has anyone gotten any Mega Stones recently? Coincidentally while I was raising my Abra when I caught it, I found the Alakazite, the first Mega Stone I encountered. I also found the stones for Mawile, Manectric, and Aggron as well. Guess so far you don't get the ability to Mega Evolve until around the 6th/7th gym I guess, which is good considering Mega Evolution is a bit OP.

You get the Mega Bracelet from Steven after you see him on Route 118; rescue whichever Eon is exclusive to your game (and it joins you).

So if you're inclined, go ahead and Mega Evolve in front of Winona if you'd like. Chances are she'll have Mega Altaria or something, but I doubt it.

Don't really have a team set up, but as far as I know right now, it consists of my starter, the Latias I got from the island and probably an Adamant Lucario w/Bullet Punch I imported from X/Y; plus some of the Swords of Justice.

Is anyone using the event Beldum on their main team? Just curious if anyone thinks its OP or still worth it.

If the name change null on traded Pokemon was not present, I'd name mine Apoqliphort. Cause that's what it is. A mechanical quad-tank that is nearly hard to beat (at least against AIs).

I'm personally against running the event Beldum - it's hard to train up, but more importantly, it's going to be overused and it's not really going to be all that special :p

On another note, I'm glad I did super training early, because I used the Dawn Stone I got from it to evolve my Kirlia :)

Was doing stuff today and yesterday, so online made it to the 3rd gym. Had two hard fights since I only JUST got my second pokemon. One was against a Marill who missed rollout and never used a water move on my torchic. The other was against May where I needed to use a Para heal since I just set up a bunch of Bulk Ups in front of Shroomish who also missed a Leech Seed and Stun Spore which helped a TON.

Team ATM is a Combusken and Mawile. Going to need to run through a bunch of the trainers on the beach to get my Mawile into fighting form.

Also, got Steelixite. You need a Machbike. You should be able to figure out the rest from that.

I'm currently using it for my playthrough. I feel like it's very OP early game (but I only have 2 badges at the moment), because it's got great typing against most common Pokemon, and unlike normal Beldum, it actually has very good moves. Zen Headbutt, Iron Head, Iron Defense and Hold Back (Special version of False Swipe). Yeah...it's mean.

I vaguely recall some people in here wanting the move tutors to take BP instead of Shards, considering what happened in B2W2.

(Good thing I got about 50 of them from Bank because I moved a ton of Pokes)

I don't think Pickup can retrieve Shards though, but possibility still exists.

For the record though, haven't challenged E4 yet [will do it later today], but already encountered a few of non-Hoenn legendaries [well, location-wise].

Haven't caught them, yet.

[spoiler=Stuff]

Think you can start catching them sometime after you catch Groudon/Kyogre in the Cave of Origin, and receive Eon Flute.

Two of the locations I found so far are only accessible via Mega Latias/Latios; third one's in Scorched Slab, bottom floor [they actually expanded it].

Scorched Slab - Heatran

Pathless Plain - Cobalion (or one of the other Swords, bar Keldeo) [somewhere in south Hoenn; one of the larger islands]

Nameless Cavern (I think that's its name) - Lake Trio (confirmed Azelf/Mesprit] [somewhere in Route 126]

If I find more, I'll update their locations. (Just look for the same glows that Mega Stones give off)

Just got my 3rd badge and am hopelessly over leveled.

Team atm
Audrey, the Quiet Mawile. Level 23
Horus, the Gentle Combusken. Level 28

Also have a level 17 Nicada and level 5 Slakoth for HMs.

Pretty sure I'm only this over leveled because I have two pokemon on my team and only got Mawile after I got my bike. I could go and beat more trainers on the cycling road, trick master, and route 117, but I'd rather wait so I can have my future pokemon gain EXP off them. My next pokemon is going to be a Baltoy and Cradily so I'm a ways away from getting them still.
