Added more from Serebii's site. I stalk FB (nah not really)

Flying on Pokemon sounds fun.

More:

- Latios is exclusive to Omega Ruby and Latias is exclusive to Alpha Sapphire.
- The Eon Ticket is said to return through a special distribution
- The Legendary Pokémon are found on islands that can only be found through areas on the sky. You access the sky through the Eon Flute item. This makes Latias available in Omega Ruby and Latios available in Alpha Sapphire.  This ticket will be distributed via Serial Code in an upcoming issue

- You can also encounter various other Pokémon in the wild within the clouds over Hoenn.

Holy hell Beedrill, what a badass you are now. Adaptability going to really damn hurt.

Pidgeot's damn fabulous, whoa.

Also

You can fly on Mega Latios & Latias in the overworld and find Pokémon such as Reshiram, Zekrom, Dialga & Palkia in the sky

Finally can ride my Latias in overworld; about time. (Not that I really need more, given the White 2 transfers, but whatever.)

Though I would've really liked it if there were more distinct differences between them, such as Mega Latias staying red instead of turning blue like her bro.

Stat-wise, also would appreciate it if the two of them get speed boosts over a physical attack raise; Latias surely doesn't need physical attack and Latios rarely uses it, except for some gimmicky set to kill Heatran.

Other stuff interests me as well, including catching a Latios and other stuff while having Eon Flute. I just hope it's manageable to get [so in a way, similar to how HG/SS allow you to catch the other legend post-game].

I know; Latias/Latios may share similar origins, but they are two distinct Pokes with different color themes and design.

Aside from their eye colors and some size thing, how can you tell the two of them apart in their Mega form? Gamefreak really screwed up in this part.

If they kept their normal colors, then at least you can tell which one is which.

That being said, I don't know if I'm even going to Mega Evolve them [assuming no Soul Dew this time].

They get some physical defense buffs, which does alleviate their lower defenses there to some degree, but the physical attack raise was a bad idea and should've went over to speed.

How many people do you know are running physical Lati@s? Not many, I assume.

But yeah, Soul Dew is still a lot better IMO; even if they're Pursuit bait or something. (Would appear that those stat spreads on Serebii are true; so much for them getting quicker upon Mega Evolving. Considering they are technically based on jet planes to some extent, a speed boost would've helped a lot; especially since Noivern stole their speed spot from them).

Mega is still viable though, just that it'll remain at base 110 speed (while it's still a bit slow compared to Greninja, Mewtwo, Deoxys and the other base 115+ stuff), it's still fast enough to outrun what they have to.

[This is probably me overreacting since both are Pokes that I frequently use, especially Latias; I'll try to keep that to a minimum.]

I did not see Mega Beedrill coming. But hilariously, earlier this week I was talking to a friend about how I love Beedrill as a Pokemon, but it's so lackluster. Then this happens.

I didn't see Mega Beedrill. But I had been using a Beedrill in my SS wedlocke and it is still alive and I'm training for the fight against Red. It's as if my Beedrill knew this was going to happen.

Hurricane Pidgeots, all day erryday.
Also belching Hyper Beams, all day erryday.
Getting murdered by Stone Edge, all day erryday.

Okay, seriously, someone needs to make something combining Beedril with Gurren Laggan now.

By the time I come back on tomorrow it better be here, don't disappoint me YCM.

Beedrill needed this so much.

"We embark on the winding spiral path! The paths of Trainer and Mon intersect!"

"Join with the Mega Ring to smash tiers, and outshine ridicule with our own hands!"

"Mega Evolve: Mega-Beedrill! JUST WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM?!"

(explosions)

I'm still curious as to how much of a defensive boost Mega Salamence is getting, given the blurbs about it said that it's getting a substantial raise to it.

TBH, they're better off boosting its attacking power and speed; it's still going to fall to Ice moves (which are relatively common) and other super effective things anyway.

Hopefully its Attack gets a good enough boost [and doesn't get speed cut unlike Mega Chomp].

-----

Going back to the Lati@s thing (again), I don't know anyone who runs it. Granted, essentially all of mine are Timid natured with 252 SA / 252 SPD / 4-6 HP or SPDEF sets; I have a Latias with Hasty nature (because cbb to try resetting for the proper nature after 30+ attempts), but even that is still running a full Special set.

If I wanted to use a physical dragon in OU, there's Garchomp/Salamence/Haxorus/Dragonite/Black Kyurem and pretty much whatever other Dragons have a respectable physical attacking stat to choose from.

Gamefreak, what the hell were you thinking?

----

No words on Mega Pidgeot. Granted, its attacks will hit, but that just means every super effective move with enough power behind it will end its life; even the inaccurate Thunder/Zap Cannon or Stone Edge, etc.

Its base 101 spd is okay, but its 80 atk is certainly not enough; especially when we have Talonflame and Staraptor.

They're both purple, which is the color you get by combining red and blue.

Serious competitive players never go into a battle counting on their opponent missing an attack; it makes no difference in practice that Stone Edge will always hit. And no one uses Thunder (besides Rain Teams and Galvantula) or Zap Cannon anyway. Getting a 100% accurate Hurricane is surely worth it.

Pokébeach apparently confirmed M-Pidgeot will receive an S.Atk boost - which is much more logical than making it a Physical Sweeper considering it will be spamming Hurricanes like crazy in the new meta - , and it learns Heat Wave via Move Tutor in B2W2 (and it will probably learn it again in ORAS), so no worries about Steel-Types.

Also, with Intimidate triggering before going Mega, and its nely-improved Def, Salamence will be able to tank a lot of physical hits like a boss now, maybe even some random Ice moves.

Really, Pidgeot needs a nuke tastic fighting move not named Superpower to make people use it over Staraptor, even as a mega.

Hopefully No Guard means that they'll upgrade its moveset significantly enough.

I agree. Something like Dynamic Punch out of nowhere would be sweet.

Also I find funny how Pidgeot had to become a Mega to no longer be overshadowed by the rest of the bird Pokemon out there. Wasn't it outclassed even by Fearow, which is from the same generation?

And Mega Beedril + Adaptability is awesome.
