Mega Gallade looks awesome with the glorious cape and flaming hands. It appears to be like a tuxedo, like he's the perfect groom for Gardevoir. Outside from him being looking naked, he'd sure be very versatile coming into OU if he can retain a good amount of speed. Very diverse moveset including priority Shadow Sneak and Knock Off are good starters. So it appears that Wally, now looking much less plain and generic, is learning about Mega Evos and Gallade will be his boss instead of Gardevoir. Did always seem weird when it was just Gardevoir.

Mega Sharpedo would be more awesome stat wise. It doesn't look very progressive in a full torpedo shape but it does provide attributes of a chainsaw and the big nose to ram stuff with. The tribal markings on the side can complete it. Mega Sharpedo is naturally a speedy killer, and with Strong Jaw, it makes it more lethal. Sure it does sacrifice Speed Boost but it wouldn't do anything with that. Ice Fang, Crunch, Destiny Bond, Taunt, Aqua Jet, Waterfall, Scald, and Poison Jab are just some ideas to generate.

Didn't notice the cape or the burning fingers. Okay, I like Gallade better now.

Also Tough Claws would be pretty cool.

And yes, Speed Boost matters a lot on Sharpedo, it's probably still pretty frail so if anything outspeeds it it's in trouble. So keeping it not Mega for a turn would help a lot. (And don't forget it can still learn Special Attacks and use them well. So that's even more moves for it.)

Protect on his first turn out without Mega Evolving, and then M-Volve once he has at least 1 Speed Boost.

... yeah, that'll do nicely. A different tactic altogether when it comes to deciding when to Mega Evolve, instead of just M-volving right away.

Same thing happened to me. Once I saw those 2 things I liked the design a lot more. I already like Cam and Shar.

Losing Speed Boost is a huge lose, but being able to get at least 1 in before going mega is still something, especially since he will have a speed boost and won't be that slow should he switch out and lose the boost.

Sheer Force on Cam is nuts. Shame he can't abuse LO with it, but thats w/e.

Rayquaza holds a secret the mega evolution, but that's all we know on that matter

Also regarding the demo version of the game. You will see a Mega Evolution for the first time in this demo, and you can then transfer it, as well as items you collect, over to the main games when they are released. It is also hinted that, if you play the demo every day, something special will happen

Yeah, Inner Focus on Gallade really doesn't do anything useful.

Unless opponent uses Fake Out or Air Slash or something, it's essentially pointless. At least Steadfast gave it a speed boost if it even flinched.

At least Gardevoir got an offensive ability that actually does something; Gallade, well, gets the short end of the stick.

As mentioned earlier, Sheer Force or anything to power up its physical attacks would've be great. Heck, if it got Adaptability or something, that would've been better than Inner Focus.

Unless his stats are worth the ability, I personally don't see Mega Gallade being used much, and/or being moved out of RU or wherever he is now.

Well I mean if they give Gallade any considerable boost in Attack AND Speed, an ability to match it would probably be borked.

Snrk, Inner Focus. I wonder if Game Freak just hates Gallade or something.

Yeah, they must REALLY hate Gallade. And probably every Pokémon I like.

In some situations, Steadfast is worse than Inner Focus because you still lose momentum even though you get a Spd boost. If your opponent Fakes you Out and then proceeds to use Sucker Punch or another Priority Move whose damage output is within the range to kill Gallade, unless you can kill it immediately after receiving the boost with Shadow Sneak, you're pretty much screwed. In Doubles it always plays out much better than Steadfast; and I strongly believe Game Freak is trying to invest in that Battle Mode for the VGCs with some of those new Megas, like M-Audino, M-Swampert and M-Sceptile. That said, I'd prefer he gained Sheer Force, Adaptability, or something along those lines as well.

Hopefully it will get a new Water-type fang attack to take advantage of that ability.

I seriously doubt they'll give a new move to any Pokémon other than Legendaries.

I don't see why Adaptability or Sheer Force are the options people are going with as what would've been better.

Adaptability makes some sense, but it also would be way overpowered.

Sheer Force doesn't make too much sense with the design.

I still say, of the existing abilities, Tough Claws would've made the most sense.

But, either way, the ability is still underwhelming, even if it DOES stop Fake Out.

If they really wanted to push him for doubles, an ability that could let him hit through Protect and the like would have been SWEET.

That actually would be really cool. Something like Guard Break. It could also nullify Reflect and Light Screen. Like Feint and Brick Break made into an ability.

This intrigues me.

I kinda want Primal Rayquaza to be something more than glow in the dark, but I'm supposing that's not likely.

Then again, if he holds a secret to the overall process, maybe that'd warrant a mega form more transformative.

That tidbit of info implies that it'll get a mega/primal, but we'll probs find out next month or in November.
