Mega Sharpedo? Awesome! ...It gets Strong Jaw? Sure, it gets double-STAB on Bite and Crunch, while Ice Fang reaches okay power levels, but that's somewhat underwhelming, even after you've let a pre-Mega Speed Boost kick in.

Hopefully they modify its movepool to have more fangs, so it's got enough bite to make up for the bark. Otherwise, Speed Boost Sharpie is better.

Sheer Force on Megarupt is interesting, considering its decent mixed attacking stats. On the Special side, Earth Power and Flamethrower will be boosted, while the Physical end doesn't have much that can hit hard and benefit off Sheer Force. A shame, really, seeing Camerupt also learns Curse.

Yeah, despite being somewhat too spiky, the design's pretty neat.

And despite losing speed boost, you can just, y'know, Protect for the +1 speed, then mega evolve next turn and murder everything.

And promptly get murdered by a mach punch.

Totally forgot about that. Okay, Mega-Sharpedo is a serious threat now, awesome. Especially as it gets a boost to all its stats. Of course, gotta be wary about that priority but you can work around that.

Camerupt is now volcanic artillery, and I love it. It may be one of my favorite Megas at this point. I'm glad it's getting good boosts.

Still don't care much about Gallade, still think it looks more like Bisharp now, still wonder what its ability will be.

Vacuum Wave does it as well, but that's only seen on special Fighting Types.

Or for the heck of it, any priority move off of something with a decent amount of power will still murder the shark.

Sharpedo will probably get 10-20 points in its defenses when it Megas; not worth investing in, since it'll still die to most neutral attacks with its pitiful defenses.

Best thing about being WATER is though, he's resistant to most forms of priority aside from Flying (Talonflame and Pinsir), Fighting, and Normal.

So that's something, i guess.

Is it weird if I say Mega Gallade looks kinda naked?

as opposed to the pokemon who wear clothing fusion? okay

I'm good with Mega Sharpedo and Camerupt. Sharpedo's nose is a little wonky, but overall stat boost and Strong Jaw are fine by me.

And even though Mega Camerupt looks silly, I kinda like it.

I'm honestly thinking I'll add both to my team.

Interested in what Kyogre and Groudon's abilities are. Just hope they aren't pre-gen 6 Drought and Drizzle, that'd be underwhelming.

Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon gain new abilities called Sea of Beginnings and Land of Endings. They introduce the new weather conditions Strong Rain and Strong Sunlight respectively. No word on what separates the weathers from normal sunlight and rain.

They also get new attacks. Groudon's is called Cliff Blade, while Kyogre's is currently unknown.

Permanent weather hype

Sharpedo literally is more feral now. Ability-wise, it powers up Crunch or something (which it gets STAB on), but otherwise only gets boosted on Ice Fang (unless it learns the other Fangs, but that's impossible). Nose spikes, eeh, but everything else is cool.

Nobody expected Blastoise to get Aura Sphere, Dark Pulse or Dragon Pulse either. The spikes on its nose are meant to be a reference to the Saw Shark, while the stripes emulate - to some extent - the patterns found on the bodies of Tiger Sharks.

I don't really think it'll get more aside from Fire and Thunderfang, though if it did get a shiny brand new biting move debuted here, it'll be golden.

With them introducing Kyogre and Groudon's signature move in this game, I don't see why they couldn't do that. Not saying they would, but this wouldn't be the first of its case, in regards to this game, so the possibility is still there.

If Megallade is anything like Mega Gardevoir, it'll probably get an Atk and SpD boost.

Which is cool because Gallade already had 125 base atk and 115 base SpD

Could make him Fairy/Fighting, but I don't expect a type change.

Matching up with Gardevoir, we'd likely end up with: 165 Atk / 65 Def / 85 SpA / 135 SpD / 100 Spd

However, he doesn't look as bulky as Mega Gardevoir, so who knows if he'll actually gain defense. If he gains a little buff in normal Defense, boosting it up to 85, he could be a downright monster with the right ability. Like imagine if he also got Huge Power or Magic Bounce.

So just to reiterate how good Megallade's gonna be. This is his available movepool:

Swords Dance, Bulk Up, & Power-Up Punch. Substitute, Will-o-wisp, Protect, etc.

Close Combat - Fighting

Leaf Blade - Grass

Night Slash - Dark

Psycho Cut - Psychic

Earthquake - Ground

Brick Break - Fight

Rock Tomb - Rock

Stone Edge - Rock

Rock Slide - Rock

X-Scissor - Bug

Poison Jab - Poison

Drain Punch - Fighting

Fire Pwnch - Fire

Ice Pwnch - Ice

Thunder Pwnch - Electric

Zen Headbutt - Psychic

Knock Off - Dark

Oh, and he has a prio move in Shadow Sneak.

So good luck planning for that!

From those 3 Megas, Sharpedo wins for me:

The artwork is awesome, even with those spikes that reference jaw sharks. It is just me, or the in-game screenshot Sharpedo lacks those spikes?

Speed Boost a couple of times and then go Mega; sweet stuff. And if you are worried about priority, it does learn Aqua Jet so it can hit before being ultimately defeated; if its Mega-form ATK boost is really huge, Aqua Jet could become a legitimate threat.

Hopefully it will get a new Water-type fang attack to take advantage of that ability.

Mega Camerupt looks cool too and, as it was pointed out, Sheer Force on Flamethrower/Earth Power seems dangerous, but Camerupt's x4 weakness to Water was always a letdown. Also, an "M" can be seen on its foerehead. Most likely a reference to Team Magma, but from a realistic point of view, it would be too much of a coincidence for a Pokemon to grow alternate-colored fur with the shape of an M so... could this imply that Magmas brand their Camerupts or something? Just randomly theorizing here.

And I am not a fan of Gallade so, it is nice that he got a Mega-evo, but I'm not really excited about it.

No one seems to have noticed Megallade's awesome cape thing?!

Thanks for pointing that out, they look quite cool tbh.

That's it, MegaGal is fabulous enough for my team.

I also plan on using Gallade on my team. Depending on how early one finds the Dawn Stone. Ofc by the time the games come out over here, I'll have a good idea where it'll be located.
