Mega Altaria, and it has Pixilate. GG guys, GG.

Also, I find it funny how Lopunny  goes from being a slut to a lesbian through just a Mega Evolution.

As for Salamance, mother of god. It's Mega Pinsir All over again, except this time it's actually threatening.

As much as I live the dragon/fairy typing, I'm not sure about mega altaria's design; there was loads of great fanart with more claws and the clouds becoming thunderclouds...oh well. As for Salamence, love the ability and design, but where are his front legs?!

M-Sal may not have Quick Attack that makes M-Pinsir a threat, but Aerilated STAB Double Edge is going to hurt. Especially if it had collected some Atk boosts off Moxie/D-Dance before Mega'ing.

M-Lopun is novel. Normal/Fighting is a nifty coverage combo, especially if they're backed up with Scrappy to penetrate Ghost immunities. The problem with Lopunny is that its good moves as of now are just Jump Kick and Return, maybe Bounce, and if its Atk doesn't buff up significantly it's a bit of a fragile speedster.

M-Altaria can be bred Hyper Voice. An physical D-Dance variant can go with Pixilated Return. Is good time to cower. I kinda wish it had Fur Coat to turn it into a behemoth of a physical wall, especially when coupled with Cotton Guard.

I can honestly say I'm with all the Megas that got revealed (quick question though, I thought the scans wouldn't be out until the 12th), two interesting things that Lopunny getting made me think of though:

1. Hoenn Pokemon won't be the only ones getting Megas

2. That Mega evolution image we found a while back is fake

Anyways, I'm still saving (and praying) my Mega evo spot for Milotic

So did nobody else see the Shiny Beldum and Metagross?

People did see that (albeit on the last page) I'm sure we'll be able to get the mega stone in game as well though.

Also calling it now; Salamence's Mega Stone will probs be placed in that room in Meteor Falls were Bagons and TM02 was located in RSE, and it'll be a post-game stone.

Just about where they always are. They are probably just the same as his hind legs without the red line bit at the top, you just can't see that.

Although I'm fine with their non-mega forms in almost every way, looks way too silly and I'm gonna say the same about Altaria, Loppuny is the only one I like but probably still won't use it. That is if I'm still getting the game, I might just be bothered to only use the starter's and whatever else may just be given to me like Lucario was, most especially Sceptile. Just like with XY.

Lopunny?

...Does this mean we can have Pokemon in future generations in ORAS? (Besides Evos, since Dusknoir's already Confirmed, and Gallade, Froslass, and such are basically confirmed because of that [Which HGSS only had the Evos that evolved via moves, Dusknoir evolves by an ITEM, so...])

...Also the contest Idol is cute as frick, but I wanted her to be the winnona Redesign (Since they both used an altaria), but oh well, I guess.

Which makes me think, since she has an altaria; Do you think we'll be able to use Megas in Contests? Probably not, but...

Even though, they're evos, Magnezone and Probopass are pretty much confirmed.

...and I think it was said that pokemon from other gens are going to appear this time round.

Lopunny's ability will help it a lot I imagine.

As for Altaria....Kinda was hoping for a super defensive Mega to be honest. It might still be, but the ability makes it seem more offensive.

Pixilate is actually pretty good on a defensive pokemon, just look at Sylveon. It lets you hit HARD thanks to its extra boost and defensive pokemon that still hit really hard is really nice. As is the fact that you don't even need to use your Dragon STAB since Fairy covers the one type Dragon is good against anyway.

They look like they tuck into the front of its body. As I said, that would be my one problem if any with the design, but assuming thats true I really like it.

Lopun will likely have most of its 100 points dump into ATK, my guess somewhere around 50. And Jump Kick is actually a fine move since moves with 100 power are really good, just its worse than High Jump.  It is also worth noting though that with Scrappy Ghosts can't come in to ruin your Jump Kicks.

Fur Coat would have been a really fitting ability, but I'm cool with the ability to have a defensive pokemon just hit really hard.

Glad to see I'm not the only one that caught that. Yea, that makes things pretty interesting with who else might Mega.

I think it could still go either way at this point. Remember, we didn't get 90% of the Mega Stones until after the main game so it doesn't mean a TON if they have Mega Stones.

Megas were said to only be useable in Battle, so my guess is no.

Altaria and its Dragon/Fairy typing is interesting. Hopefully Altaria will have access to moves like Double Edge or Body Slam to take advantage of Pixilate, but even if it doesn't, Return and Secret Power might be good alternatives.

I find funny how long ago I "made" an alternate evolution for male Buneary with its type changed to Fight, and now we get a Mega-Lopunny who gains Fight type.

And what the hell happened to Salamence?

It gets hyper voice as an egg move and Return is always good. The two moves you mention it could be taught WAY back in FR/LG. Personally, I see her as a much more defensive pokemon thanks to its amazing defensive type and its base form already being defensive.

I agree that it looks more like a defensive Pokemon, and I would have preferred a defensive ability instead, but since it got Pixilate I hope it gets the moves to make well use of it. Although it would be amusing to trade an Altaria with Double-Edge/Body Slam back from FR/LG to AS/OR, but I don't know if it is even possible.

I think I know why it looks like SalaMega lost its front legs: it has them tucked in, behind those shoulder guard-looking protrusions. Probably so that it can be more aerodynamic while in flight.

Yeah, I did notice the front legs, and with such body it looks like it should be easier for Salamence to fly, but still, it doesn't justify the design of the wings that resemble a spaceship/UFO.

So Altaria's just going to be a tank. I guess the question now is if they give it more of an Atk boost or SpA boost

Salamence will probably get a big speed boost from the look of its design. STAB Double Edge is going to be a pain. And it still has Intimidate before mega evolving just to f*** with you.

Still don't care about Lopunny.

Also Icicle Crash Pikachu

Pokébeach posted some more info:

Apparently, Mega Altaria gets an ATK boost (hooray for Dragon Dance'd Pixilated Returns!). That, however, does NOT mean she'll become a pure hyper-offensive Poké; she still might get some investment on her defenses as well.

Mega Lopunny's ATK and S.ATK are increased (Mind you - she still could receive a boost in SPD for all we know). Also, according to Serebii, Lopunny now learns High Jump Kick. With it, a good Normal STAB and the plethora of moves she got to learn since Gen IV - such as Drain Punch, the Elemental Punches, Fake Out, not to mention her support pool (which inlcudes Baton Pass and a bunch of boosting moves), she has potential to become a remarkable powerhouse, at least in the lower tiers; you could even try to abuse the ridiculously large Special movepool Normal-Types like her tend to get! And we still have the Move Tutors that will probably come wit the new games, so don't go trashing her before knowing everything this badass cutie can do!

Mega Salamance gets a boost in DEF to compensate for the loss of Intimidate, but I could bet its SPD will be raised as well!
