The roulette wheels. thank u <
Cin
I was terrible at Voltorb Flip so I just brought all the tms I needed straight from coins without the games. RS should have memories for me because it was the first time I raised a team to Lv 100. Although I can only remember 4 members of that team. (Salamence, Groudon, Gyarados, and Metagross) although compet. they're moves are rubbish because I paid no attention to Phys/Spec.
evilfusion
I forgot that Voltorb Flip was either loved or hated. People who sucked at it resented that they couldn't just buy coins with money (to be fair, Voltorb Flip is a luck and logic-based game that not everyone will be particularly good at), and people who were amazing at it and/or hated slots loved it. Delibirb
Forget Voltorb Flip, the roulette in Gen III was literally my favorite pastime when I wasnt smashing the Elite 4 with Rayquaza or exploring the seemingly endless ocean.

Agro
Well if they're remaking RSE for this gen, then XY would likely end up in the same spot, no?
Blake
Likely, especially with megastones being canon to gen 3 as of the remakes, yes. Confirmed, no.

DEF, but loses Speed yeaaaaaah no Hmm. Well as I mentioned before. Often Megas can make a Pokemon work very differently. I think it's interesting. I mean not TOO much more they could do to make Prankster Sableye better at what it did. At least this way it'll make people have to wonder whether it's Prankster or Mega-Magic Bounce I guess. As Mawile got a huge offensive boost, Sableye gets a huge defensive boost.

Well... That makes things interesting. Nasty Plot Sableye maybe? Though without priority... Well it certainly will make me think I'll give it that at least. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Yeah, though its special defenses are still low and it gives up priority on statusing opponent in exchange for simply bouncing theirs. A defense buff will grant it some survival against attacks it would've died from, but then again, 50 base HP doesn't do it much favors either. Decreased speed doesn't make too much difference, considering Sableye is already slow [Trick Room much?] Let's see how much power it gains though in special attack (maybe around 100-105ish base, which is usable). Ability-wise, there's no problem with it having Magic Bounce, considering Stealth Rock and a bunch of other entry hazards and moves are relevant. The only thing holding it back is speed and being killed on the special side. Of course, its weight increases from 24.3 to 354 pounds, so now it gets hit much harder by Grass Knot or whatever hits based on opponent's weight. --- On another note, Mega Sceptile's typing is confirmed Grass-Dragon; Mega Kyogre grows about 18 feet and gets a Sp Atk boost. Both it and Groudon don't have their Mega Abilities revealed yet
%phil
magic bouncing megas kinda suck - they lose all the pressure on the opponent not to use a status move until they mega-evolve. it doesn't really make much sense to give sableye and there needs to be some substantial stat boost because losing prankster will-o-wisp (although it does still get it on the first turn) and prankster recover basically makes sableye lose the niches it had. it even gets prankster taunt as regular sableye so magic bounce is barely relevant (well, i guess it does give you one more moveslot) unless you mega-evolve sableye, switch it out and bring it back in again. it seems a pretty mediocre ability to me. Mega's never make a Pokemon lose anything. All this means is that Sableye finally has some new tricks it can do if you choose to use it. Or if not it gives a bit of mind-game power to it. (Will this be regular Sableye or the higher Special Attack Mega?) Can put more pressure on an opponent if used right.

It doesn't exactly lose it. You can still use non-Mega Sableye the same way. But now there's this new option. Which could be viable in a whole new way. We just have to figure out what way. Which is pretty fun in my opinion.
Βyakuya
Well at the very least you could have a Prankster-Type Sableye and a gimmicky attack-type Sableye. It would probably require a greater offense moveset, whereas when you take it into battle, you would Mega Evolve it in hopes of immediately bouncing back the status condition if something like Toxic or Thunder Wave would be used. But as usual Magic Bounce would leave Pokemon Gliscor and Breloom still flourishing. Sableye can learn Nasty Plot and a decent array of Sp. Atk moves, but I guess something like Trick Room at first would kinda give Sableye a leeway into battle, even if it means having 2 turns to be useful at the very least. And it's a shame it can't learn Hypnosis either. Meh...at least Sableye would be some sort of decent gimmicky offense aside from the speed and all. Depending on how big its boosts are it might not even need Nasty Plot. But even so I could see it not being too hard to set up especially if they switch out fearing the Prankster shenanigans. I'd have to wait till I can test it out to fully say though. But I approve of the Mega. Not much more they could've done to make Prankster Sableye better as a Mega.
