Pchi
Yeah, true. Prankster+Recover+WoW is brutal. But main problem is that Sableye's a gigantic taunt-bait from things with prankster/ones that doesn't care about WoW. Bulk alone won't solve his issues. If his offensive stats become respectable enough, then it can do things when taunted. That's why I say that a defensive stat buff won't do. I don't think it needs so much in terms of offensive capabilities with Night Shade and Foul Play at its disposal and providing STAB to the latter, especially with Taunt lasting only 3 turns now. More bulk, while possessing a single weakness, will do more to it than giving it a not-that-significant boost in ATK/S.ATK.
evilfusion
Mega Sableye probably will get some sort of defensive boost/ability because that crystal is clearly a shield. Whether it will get a boost comparable to what Mawile got...I doubt it. Mawile's ability becoming Huge Power was a godsend, plus stat buff and type becoming part-Fairy. LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
Interesting how people are already saying Mega Sableye won't be good. Plus while yes the gem looks like a shield it could also be some sort of energy amplifier to increase it's attacking power. Mawile's buffs were really impressive (+ 20 Base Attack and Huge Power, as well as 40 more Base Defense and Special Defense.) so I don't see why Sableye's won't be....Plus while Mawile gaining Fairy type really helped, Ghost/Dark is still a great defensive typing. With one weakness it's easy to work around the weakness. As for its design, what else would you expect them to do? It's a small imp-like creature, making it too different would ruin the design for me.

I will admit both defeat and that I haven't played the gamecube Orre games. I was only making a comment about the weird fact that Sableye doesn't appear to have a mouth most of the time (no mouth would be weird considering its Pokedex entry about it eating raw gems). None of the sprites in the main games indicate any mouth, meaning when the mouth isn't open it isn't there? example:

LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
Not sure if legit. If it is...How are they going to Mega Ludicolo? Same for Seviper. If they do I'm glad but I really want to know what a Mega Snake is going to look like..... Edit: Just thought. Give it wings, make it part Flying. evilfusion
THe image coloring is off, look at Omega Ruby, its too yellow It could be fake...though I hope not. It seems almost all instances of a red color on that pic are yellowish, such as Mega Blaziken. That said, it does seem like a few too many new Megas...but on the other hand, Gen VI didn't flesh out Megas as much as it could have, and we do know that Mega Sableye and the Lati@s do exist. Mind you though, out of all the Sableye TCG cards, only 4 (inlcuding that one) show Sableye without its mouth.

It falls victim to other Prankster users' Taunt. Interesting how people are already saying Mega Sableye won't be good. What people should get in their minds is that Sableye is not meant in any way to be an offensive Pokémon; the fact that they gave it Prankster as a Hidden Ability should've tipped them off. Its movepool, type and stats, even with the Mega Evolution boosts, wouldn't be fit for combat purposes; and I don't think they will give it the same treatment as Mawile. At best, they'd give it an ability that'd increase its defenses, amplifying its capabilities as a supporter and annoyer. EDIT: They could also transfer some of its Speed to its defenses, if the Mega Evo boost by itself isn't enough. If it keeps Prankster, it won't matter much. It's already the slowest Prankster user by far, it's not like it could do anything against its colleagues' Taunts anyway; so it's best to focus on giving it more durability.
