Elite 4 Phoebe has a Sableye. And a Banette.

Sidney has an Absol, and a Sharpedo (like Archie)

Mega Walrein or Glalie?

...they better not Mega Salamence over Flygon, or I swear I will go Reggie on these fools.

Do we actually know if there's a Mega Sharpedo/Camerupt, or were those just their aces back in Gen III, so it's assuming they get them?

I think its a pretty safe assumption. Either way, them having Megas is interesting.

I REALLY wish XY did that with the E4 and gave each one their own Mega. Same for the gym leaders in their rematches. Would have been a lot cooler imo.

Well there weren't much people who had the ability to Mega Evolve their Pokemon in XY except Korrina, Serena, Lysandre, and Diantha. It would be possible to see here, but there would have to be some reason how they got all those Mega Stones. Maybe at this time MEga Evolution was more widely known in Hoenn. I wouldn't know but obviously we'll see Mega Aggron action for sure, and not Mega Milotic......... >_>

If Steven has a Mega Charizard X, he won't have Mega Aggron. (That's what I assume you're implying)

Well that could happen, but that goes against his style of Steel Types and his thematic of uncovering prehistoric Pokemon. I was implying mainly to Steven being the Champion of these games while Wallace is elsewhere.

Speaking of prehistoric Pokemon, makes a lot of sense now that I'm bringing it up now. Steven would investigate the phenomenon of Primal Groudon/Kyogre.

I'm kinda disappointed in Mega Sableye as well, based on the preview.

I would assume it gets Prankster or something as its Mega ability.

Blocking Fairies would be nice, but Sableye pretty much has less than average defenses. (I would assume its stat spread is an inverted variant of Mawile's, being higher attacking stats [given they're version counterparts])

Well don't forget that Megas get stat buffs too. Plus I'm not ruling out a surprising new ability.

Remember Mawile was a meh Pokemon competitively until it got its Mega.

Honestly I think it looks great, it kept it's tricky little imp looks while giving it a giant gem, I'd say it's a win in my book.

I just hope you can get the Mega stones before beating the game.

That gem won't be just for shows, and a mere defense buff won't make Sableye suddenly viable.

I assume whatever MSab's ability has to do with the gem, and it'll be a defensive one. Prankster's might still be possible, but eh, I think he'll get a new ability. Some sort of damage-blocking could be very neat.

If it's like what happened in HGSS with Koga/Janine, then yeah it's possible that Juan will be there in Wallace's place.

While it is possible that Juan may take Wallace's place, given that these are remakes, it is also possible/more likely that Wallace will remain the Sootopolis gym leader.

Sableye is actually a VERY respectable pokemon. Since getting Prankster its been in UU for the past two gens and he is useable in OU. Example of his bulk

252 SpA Timid Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Calm Sableye: 124-147 (40.7 - 48.3%). With leftovers that isn't even a 2HKO

Yeah, true. Prankster+Recover+WoW is brutal. But main problem is that Sableye's a gigantic taunt-bait from things with prankster/ones that doesn't care about WoW. Bulk alone won't solve his issues. If his offensive stats become respectable enough, then it can do things when taunted. That's why I say that a defensive stat buff won't do.
