Gundam Series

Discuss the Gundam anime series. I haven't seen any of them, so I'd like to know which ones are the best and why. Also, try to rank them from worst to best, that would help.

I still prefer Wing because I'm a raging fanboy, but you had better watch the original, Zeta, and MS 08th Team. A lot of the series will do callbacks and you want to know what they come from.

 

Honestly though, the best advice I have is to stay within a time frame. Some series have the same time frame, therefore interconnect. (most notably is the Universal Century timeline) You can view those here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gundam#Animated_series_and_films they are listed as MSG date. The link list the series by production date, so you can go that route too.

 

I will say, that you shouldn't watch Gundam Build Fighters yet (the newest series), as that whole show is dedicated to callbacks from the past series. OR  you could watch that first and then other series. That could be an interesting take out it.
