Lunar Origins
I'm juggling like six different images, now. Learning how to use the pentool effectively has pretty much got me back into photoshop. Really this was just a canvas for me to draw on a lot with the thing, experiment with shapes. The stock image was really small and I was lazy so it looks utterly flat right now, but I'm not finished with the piece. Just posting the topic here before my internet gets shut off for the night so I can see my progress when I get back on and upload the finished project in the morning. Catman25
It's good to experiment with different shapes and such, but the solid black I think is what makes things look a bit flat, although the swirly bg doesn't do much for the depth either. I've seen the solid black done well before, primarily c4ds bucket filled with black as opposed to pentool, it's just difficult to pull off I think. I like that cut-off little thing at the top middle portion though, it's got reasonable definition, and the pink lighting gives detail to the black fill.
