idk if worth topic, but watevs

We don't have a topic for this movie yet, so it's fine.

I don't know any of these actors ._.

I think you might recognize some of them if you google them.

I'm guessing that Daisy Ridley is Jaina Solo. Not sure if either Adam Driver or Domhnall Gleeson will be Jacen, but since Driver is listed after Jaina, I'm guessing it's him. Domhnall could probably Anakin Solo.

…Have you never heard of the Expanded Universe? They could easily just take a villain from that and integrate them into this.

Looks like the Expanded Universe may be invalidated as canon, at least part of it.

One thing to remember with this movie is it's directed by J.J Abrams. And he is notorious by spilling all these sorts of rumors and bullsh*t to throw people off track until the actual movie comes out. So the latest news is that Han Solo reportedly has a huge role to play in Episode 7. Which could be true, but is probably greatly exaggerated if not downright false.

I'm intrigued by John Boyega the most. Dude was an unknown and he killed it in his first role on Attack The Block. Not trying to get excited bout the cast as much though, Phantom Menace also have bunch of great actors and look at how that turn out.

Still, I'm a fan of Abrams so I hope this will be as good or even better than his Star Trek.

I'm aware that they've declared the Expanded Universe non-canon. That doesn't mean that they can't just bring elements from it over to the new films.

Kathleen Kennedy (kinda like Kevin Feige on this side) already express that they could pick a few things or reinterpret things from the old EU to the new EU/movies but if only it fits with the direction of the new universe. Just think of it as the new52 of Star Wars.

Only one thing though, when they're going to use comics as a medium beside the novels and spin-off movies(if this is really going to happen) to expand the new universe, I hope they won't throw it to the Marvel's writers.

Abrams, like Nolan usually keep his movies under wraps because they know fans would be more hype about the movie going in blind. Aside from denying things, that's all. It's the press/media that's always spread the craps after getting winds of fan's speculating.
