Lost

Lost peaked but then instead of starting to resolve, it kept adding more and more needless padding.

Nice premise, and well thought-out overall plot for what it tried to be. But lukewarm acting (minus a few select characters) and bloating with twists upon twists killed it around season 3.

Well worth a watch, but it would be much better if they hadn't tried to drag it as far as they did.

Just like every other Abrams show (Alias, Fringe) it rises then falls tremendously after he left the show and letting the executive producers/his friends to take charge.

Abrams gave the role of showrunner to Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman for Alias and they turn the show into a basic procedural turd. Fringe became much more dense in season 4 when he left it to Jeff Pinkman and same goes to Lost when he gave that to Damon Lindelof and Jeffrey Lieber.

Anyway, try watching Person Of Interest. It's among the best of all the shows that his company produce. It's created by Jonathan Nolan and basically it's a Batman tv show with all the great things of Lost (i.e Flashback, connectivity of the characters, twist and Lost and The Wire's alumni appearing).
