Sleepy
I'm looking for tips and suggestions. Just edited it, and I'm not sure what to minus for that third Metamorphosis. I guess I could run 41......

Ultravires
Wasn't Crush Card a thing back in this era? (I never played Goat format, so I apologize if my comment doesn't work) Crush Card wasn't released until 2007. Deck looks good, I like 3 Book though. Also once you've played the deck long enough, 3 Meta/3 Goat becomes your go-to mainboard. Keep in mind that there was no Extra Deck limit during Goat format, but people observe a 15 limit online for obvious reasons. I have reasons for not liking Airknight and Asura Priest, though there are also reasons for running them. Airknight is susceptible to removal before you go positive on summoning it, and it's very susceptible to Snatch Steal and then Meta, turning your quick advantage play into a big minus. I like running Zaborg because Zaborg is frontloaded; you will ALWAYS go 1-1 or better with Zaborg. Asura Priest does not lend itself well to field presence, and unless you have the Goat or some form of removal, you're open to a Zaloog or Reaper play. One major reason I like Skilled White at 2 over Skilled White + Asura Priest is because outside of them dropping Exarion, Skilled White will force removal, BLS, a Tribute monster or the TER play. Making the opponent commit to the field like that lets you force out power cards and then you get to deal with them on your own terms. EDIT: On second look, Night Assailant doesn't need to be in there. I also missed Blade Knight. It's really bad in Goat format because you're likely going to just face mirrors. Back in the day Blade Knight was an okay call because Zombies and Beastdown existed, and everyone was playing Jar. In addition it was okayish for when you went into Sudden Death after your 40 minute time limit, something that most people forget existed in 2005, which doesn't apply to our no-limit games online and in person. First than anything: Thank you for all this input! Current changes: -1 Blade Knight +1 Skilled White Magician -1 Night Assailant +1 Dekoichi -1 Creature Swap +1 Book of Moon I somehow didn't notice the awfully low amount of Flip Monsters I ended up with. Thanks for the call. I also mistook Book's position in this format. Immediately I'm adding the 3rd copy. Airknight can backfire more easily but it's worth it if it succeeds, I'll see how it keeps doing for now. Asura I might trade for either that 3rd Goat or Meta. I was just about to write about how Creature Swap works well with it and it's a quick Goat wall killer, but Creature Swap is more likely to have my opponent chain Goats to it more often than not, so the risk might not be worth it. Dekoichi I'm not sure about yet. Test hands haven't drawn into it. Also found a Gatling Dragon in my binder and remembered it's available this format. I'm not sure how often would I ever wanna trade my BLS for it, but the option is there at least. Finally, what do you think of DMoC on Goat builds? Too heavy? I guess if I couldn't fit in Mobius, I'm not likely to get a DMoC other than with a Charity/Tribe-Infecting combo to set it up, although it still sounds very powerful regardless. Sleepy
Stray Lambs? or was that not released yet? That's not very optimal. It was released on Invasion of Chaos (AKA at the same time as Dark Magician of Chaos, BLS, Chaos Sorcerer, and Emperor Dragon). However, it presents the problem that it's half as many Tokens as Scapegoats, and without it being Quick-play, there's no softening the drawback. Neither is it a very great wall considering sometimes when you shield yourself with goats, 1 or 2 will be taken down. It's overall not needed in any case since Goats was at 3 this format. I'm more struggling with thinking it might clog my field if I don't have enough things to do with them. I'll probably get them to 3 like Masao said, but I'll have to test it out first and get a better feeling of it. Thanks though.

Dekoichi isn't bad at all, however I'd go with Magical Merchant so you have another Light target. It also grabs power backrow. The downside is the potential to mill power cards like BLS, however it's not all that common. 3 Book gets over TER. Third Goat is more important than third Meta if you do make the change. Creature Swap isn't bad, but Enemy Controller is better. There are a couple situations where you would Meta your BLS into Gatling. If they have multiple facedown monster threats and you know they've used their removal or Books, bring out BLS, pick off a monster then Meta into Gatling and clear more threats and go for damage. If you are afraid of a Snatch, Meta the BLS because Gatling is a lot less scary to have Snatched, unless you know you have an answer then save the Meta. In addition if you have the Prema/Call play and have a good read on the opponent, you can bring BLS back to the field when your board position is better. I don't like DMoC in Goats. It's very rare you'll bring it out, and unlikely you'll be able to reliably mill it. There are better things to blow your power backrow like Prema and Call on. DMoC is better off left in DMoC Launch.
