hypebeast
Okay I have to say... I don't have money to spend on clothes. Spending $50ish for a bunch of jeans and shirts is what I do (and even more than what Kirito said), because I can, and have to, make it last. Sure it would be nice to buy nice clothes, but I'm not wasting money on it when for me it's more practical to buy cheaper stuff. what other non-crucial cheaper stuff could you buy.... Marisa Kirisame-ze
I'm huge on fashion, but I've yet to truly afford the style I'd love to portray consistently. However, I have an edgy look to me. I love Top Shop and also menswear. But nothing too masculine. I like fusing my femininity with clothing made for masculinity. I dig Urban lots. I buy tons of hats. Idk, fashion is really fun to me when you can pick up items that scream "you." When going casual, it's usually something like this:

I mean personally I love the way you dress, but bruh it takes someone really hardcore to define the elements for fashion.

Good to see you're still around though bbcakes. I can definitely relate to what you said though, everyone has a style, most of us are just oblivious as to what it is specifically. The easiest way sometimes is to just shop by instinct and pick up items that you really like, regardless of price and whatnot. I'm not sure what you mean. But nice clothes isn't really crucial as long as you can make cheap stuff last. Pretty sure he's asking whether it's possible for you to cut funds from other aspects, i.e: games, hobbies, etc. in an effort to allocate more money to purchasing clothing. Honestly speaking, besides education and money, there are very few things in life that you can adopt that'll help you more than being well-dressed. You really do not need an exuberant amount of money to dress well either, you just have to know where to look and actually put in the effort to go through with it since it seems like a lot of people in this thread who claim they want to dress better just seem to complain about their lack of funds and just give up. If you legitimately want to start dressing better, I'll help you, if not, save us both the time. Oh and really quick: Up to 75% off on H&M Quality knit sweater for 4$ was 20$ Chino shorts, in season, 9$ Solid jeans for 25$ Dope jacket for 20$ was 60$ Cardigan for 20$
J-Max
To me clothing is about Comfort rather then spending a small fortune on it to look 'Cool' Saying that I love wearing Ralph Lauren Polo Shirts....They are so comfortable and I always feel expensive wearing them haha. That's just the thing though, you presume cheap stuff is just as comfortable as more expensive stuff, and that it just looks a wee bit better. No, that's certainly not what makes up the price tag. 90% of more expensive clothing WILL be more comfortable than the second hand shirt you pick up, which has been sitting in a Chinese warehouse for months/years. Tormented
are you trying to be rasist? saying the chinese people are bad at their jobs!?!?! _____ \^--^/ That being said again I'm pretty awful with buying clothes, like I have the money to buy £40+ gear but don't spend it on it. Then again I don't go out enough to probably warrant it.

Pretty much this. As someone who's purchased from a wide array of price tags, shit is expensive for a reason. That's not to say that cheaper stuff isn't good quality either though, as shown previously in that $4 knit sweater from H&M, if you know where to look and put in some time and effort into doing so you can easily get the best of both worlds. Tourmaline
I want help with this kind of thing, but I'm in a really odd situation. So I just use my grey/blue eyes/pale skin/black hair and look for color coordination because I couldn't really wear much of what I wanted in the first place. Mostly black/dark blues. Tormented
Ok, Hina. Go on Amazon, get me a list of things you think you'd look good in (4/5 links) then I'll give suggestions on what clothes I think would look good on a girl/female/woman/lady/boobies. Go on Amazon, get me a list of things you think you'd look good in (4/5 links) then I'll give suggestions on what clothes I think would look good on a girl/female/woman/lady/boobies. Searching for similar male clothes to what is currently preferred then showing it to you to see what would fit? I can't do it right away, but definitely tomorrow around this time. I can definitely say I never really got to dress in anything I liked or felt very comfortable in, and I couldn't for the most part without a big threat, so the potential help is really appreciated. That being said, I still prefer myself in darker, cooler colors. At least, even at this point, I do.

And the simple answer is: No. It's not really possible. Basically all the money I have will have to go into living expenses. It's not a matter of spending on other hobbies it's a matter of I barely have enough money to survive. Any money I save goes to moving, after which I'll again be probably spending most of my money to live. That's what I meant, sometimes have to sacrifice a little when you're poor. But true, I suppose if I looked in the right places I could find some stuff. But my city honestly doesn't have many of those places, maybe once I move I'll be able to find some though. I'm mostly just pessimistic about clothing, especially since some people I know spent a lot of money on clothing when they barely had enough to live in the first place and it left a bitter taste in my mouth. Merci
Oh, there's a thread like this.Okay. Okay. I will not freak out.But I'll keep it simple. I really, really, really like jackets. I mean, not like-like, but I have so many jackets that they don't fit inside my closet hanging rod. I have loads and loads and loads of different kinds of jackets.A normal black jacket, an oversized black jacket, a black baseball jacket, a light grey/black jacket, a heavy grey/black jacket with those shoulder pad things, a green jacket, a light striped grey jacket, a grey jacket with two sets of zippers, a nylon jacket, a denim jacket, a leather jacket, a jacket with a skull theme, a science jacket, a Steins;Gate jacket, an Attack on Titan jacket, an I-have-no-idea-what-this-is-made-from white jacket, a denim jacket with polyester sleeves and a hoodie, a jacket with detachable sleeves... There might be a few others that I've missed. And of course, I have four different dinner jackets (that come in a set) to account for each and every past prom I've gone to - black, white, red, grey/silver. Next year I expect to wear blue or something. Frankly, who knows?I'm not quite sure why I like jackets so much, but part of it might be due to the fact that I'm insecure of my own thin arms. Also, jackets stand out a whole load more than shirts or jeans, and it certainly helps to give style with my otherwise dull school uniform....I should probably take pics to prove all this, huh?
