goddamnit names are a pain
Clothing has never been a need for me No I just wear T-Shirts with games and stuff on them and jeans. I have jackets and overshirts sorta but that's it. I for one love T-Shirts more than any other kind of shirt. Alternatively I wear a string bikini and a sexy top Underwear is nice to wear too. goddamnit names are a pain
why does everyone here wear tees wit game stuff on them? thats kinda lame hahah it represents who I am and what I enjoy and is also comfortable It's not like they literally say "buy such and such" I usually wear them when they are done in a cool way or reference something in game/show It's neat and I find it cool. I personally despise button shirts and collared shirts because they just look tacky as hell to me so that rules out a bunch of shirts.
Frunk
Get on ASOS.com lads. I buy all my stuff there. Nice threads are important. Can't wear any old stuff - definitely not pop culture shirts or too much black. I like large, loose, white tee shirts with good motifs, high quality shorts, or chinos if going out. Plimsolls for shoes, a non-bulky backpack and occasionally a fresh necklace. Good hair completes the look. Will throw up some pics later.
Goose
Can I get recommendations for super comfortable shoes (especially the back where is rubs against my ankle)? I wear running shoes because anything else is really freaking painful.

Night
I tend to spend around 700$-1200$ per season depending on which season it is. Winter is usually the worst seeing as though I usually purchase two boots that go for 150-250$ each, add to that the obligatory new coat and that's basically 600$ with three items alone. That and winter in New York constitutes mandatory layering so sweaters that are 50-70$ per pair are a must. Summer however is a lot less of a hassle because I tend to just purchase a bunch of henley's and light crew necks, leaving the only moderately expensive summer items to some boat shoes/light loafers and a pair of frames. Which, speaking of, I just purchased recently. Generally I just spend a lot on clothing. In regards to "style" I honestly don't like to categorize myself but friends of mine consider me to be preppy/hipster so I just role with it. As for an example outfit of what I buy, here's some of the shit I recently purchased for spring; Top layer / Bottom layer / Pants / Boots

goddamnit names are a pain
Why do people pay so much for clothing? 0-0 I get you have a reputation to keep but dang. People should wear whatever the f*** they want. Even if it means they won't wear anything at all. This society's standards sometimes piss me off greatly. I definitely agree with the bold....I kind of agree with the italics. =3 Out of curiosity what do you guys think is bad about T-Shirts? I mean sometimes you need to look formal and that makes sense to me, but other than that... EDIT: I just looked at the links Night posted. Son, you need to post pics of you here. That look is actually pretty dang amazing. If I didn't wear T-Shirts that would be the kind of look (at least somewhat) I would go for. That's pretty hipster to me. chairman ali
As a bearded fellow I like to wear what gentlemen wear. In the summer it's a waistcoat over a shirt with an ascot/cravat and dress trousers. Either boat shoes, espadrilles or loafers. Flash Flyer - Sakura
A lot of my clothes are several years old. The Naruto tees I mentioned earlier were from 2008 (and they still fit now). Yeah, I need new stuff to wear... For pants, I mostly wear shorts (nowadays it's cargo pants because blue denim is getting expensive, even at Walmart). Oh yeah, I don't wear a belt (even though my shorts are slightly baggy, but it's not to the point that they'll slip off). Shoes, I have a red pair of Tone-Ups from Sketchers from 2011 and some $15 shoes from Walmart. They work great though. Not really into styles my peers wear, since I have different interests than they do. Though my clothes look decent enough as is. At this moment, wearing one of my old high school uniforms (T-shirt) and some running shorts because I'm at home.

Night
Why do people pay so much for clothing? 0-0 I get you have a reputation to keep but dang. If I didn't wear T-Shirts that would be the kind of look (at least somewhat) I would go for. That's pretty hipster to me. It isn't so much about upholding a reputation as it is about doing it for yourself, really. It's pretty unexplainable to be honest, but dressing well is just something I kind of default to I guess. My father has always been a really formal dude, he's pretty much always in a suit so as a kid I always aspired to emulate that confidence and it's pretty much where it started for me. To answer your question, the issue and negative stigma with wearing printed-tee's, over-sized mom jeans, and sneakers that are 7 years old is that it's just unattractive, plain and simple. It doesn't appeal to anyone and you'll indefinitely be judged by everyone simply because of your choice of attire, and yes, it's definitely fucked up and it isn't fair at all but it does happen and that's just the reality of it. If you legitimately like wearing your green Yoshi t-shirt, and honestly couldn't give less of a fuck what people think of you, then by all means wear it. However, if you're only wearing "whatever" simply because you feel as if you don't have the confidence to wear what you truly want then change that immediately. Staying in your comfort zone isn't living.
goddamnit names are a pain
Seems legit. I mean I still buy clothes year round but T-Shirts are what I enjoy so....I've never been the kind of person influenced by those around me to change. I'm quite stubborn in that way. I know they may judge me but it's fine because I judge people for wearing Sesame Street shirts I'm surprised though...where I am people often compliment my shirt because of my tastes in things. For example, my DOOM shirt. DOOM is a really fun shooter from way back when and so I express that I like it by wearing the shirt. I always liked the way my dad looked dressed formally on him but I can't stand it on me xD I just...don't like formal. To each their own. However if you count the links you posted as formal that's the kind of formal I like. I'll also just mention the whole "money" thing as I'm pretty sure people are wearing T-Shirts and stuff up until they get a job. xD People keep telling me to get out of my comfort zones and I've been reading it a lot lately, so thanks for that. 'tyleR
Nigga named Hypebeast is giving fashion advice? lololol I cried a little. You know this nigga ain't wearing s*** he came up with himself, n***a got Tyler the Creator written all over himself. Lemme tell y'all (Save for Night and Frunk, because Frunk got that ASOS game and Night posted a fire ass fit) some real advice on how to dress, because seriously, don't listen to that first advice post. That s*** had me dying lol. 1. Navy paisley(?) button down, pink shorts, and Vans? I got two words for that; NIGGA WUT Don't tell me, you probably got a 'Preme camp cap and some HUF Plant Life socks to go along with it right? C'mon son. If you wear that s*** you look like a f**got that came straight out of an Odd Future show. Don't get me wrong, all that by itself is fine, but paired together holy shit my nigga you done fucked up. 2. See Night's fit? Fire as fuck. You know why? It's simple, it's classy, and it flows nicely. He didn't pair all that H&M s*** with some Jordans or Vans, he made the great choice of boots. It ain't flashy, but it's still eye catching. 3. Wear shit that flows. Seriously, take the first fit for example. That s*** does not flow. Button down shirt with a pattern like that and then suddenly you got pink shorts? You're right, contrast is nice, but pick a good color to contrast with. That shit don't look good, it looks goofy. 4. Pick some shoes that actually go well, don't just match 'em with your shirt and call it a day. You look like a navy-pink-navy sammich breh. Now for some examples http://i.imgur.com/a2AqSJE.jpg - That's my uncle. That fit is beautiful, like Night, it flows and is simple, it's a bit baggier and a bit more street but it's still quite classy. http://i.imgur.com/VrH16KH.jpg - This is me, it's not the greatest picture because the window f***ing sucked but you get it. This is a different style, street as f*** and ghetto inspired but still well put together and fit. Camo varsity with a plain grey hoodie keeps it simple as far as top goes, baggier jeans with small rips to add a little character, and black & white Tommy Hilfiger's because it keeps it simple and those shoes go well with practically anything. Black beanie on the head for good measure because I like my beanies/hats. It's a street fit, not meant for anything other than every day wear in fall/winter, but it still looks good and doesn't give off a ghetto impression unless you oversize everything. http://i.imgur.com/z5OMgwi.jpg - Last picture, my best friend. Again, simple. Coheed & Cambria hoodie under a winter jacket with slim jeans and Timberlands. It's simple, the graphic hoodie is done well and not geeky or trashy and goes well with the fit, the jacket is proportioned well with the jeans and boots, and the color of the jeans contrasts well. All around nice fit. But forrill, who gives a fuck, ya know? Your outfit portrays your personality, who's right is it to tell you not to wear video game tees, metal shirts, or what have you. I'm not gonna say it always looks good, because IMO it doesn't, but if you like it you do you boo boo, it's your life and clothing and whoever has a problem or tells you otherwise can fuck off. But forrill if you're gonna sit there and give fashion advice, at least do it while looking good and not like an OF dickrider. You right, you a hypebeast fo sho doe.
