Frunk
Just wondering how many warning points one can receive before being banned? I recently received my first ever 3 points for something very minor (with no verbal warning prior, to boot!). Cheers.
goddamnit names are a pain
Mods typically give warning points without any warning whatsoever. It's a pastime they enjoy. I believe 10 is where the first temporary ban kicks in. I THINK 20 is permabanned.
goddamnit names are a pain
That is only visible to you. It's the same for everyone, except mine says 3 now. I feel so blemished. I felt a blemish when it first happened for....and then I honestly realized that warning points don't mean crap. They really don't. I'm now trying to collect one from all the mods *shot* 10 warning points is when you can't make posts for 2 days (but you're not banned). 20 points is a week-long ban. Permabans are not determined by points, and really only given to spambots/etc. WHOA WHOA WHAT Only to spambots/etc? Can we bring back all those members I heard were good!? Oh wait, that's assuming they would come back to this place. I really thought points could permaban people dangit i guess coolspy or destinyexodia wont be leaving anytime soon Verbal warnings are really only used on new users. You've been here since 2006. Quit whining, it's quite unbecoming. He wasn't whining. Man you sound stuck up. I agree with the bold though.
Cin
Given this is more or less answered, does it need to stay open? LOCKED. Like Pika said, we don't give verbal warnings for members (and mods) who have been here long enough to know better.
Frunk
Mods typically give warning points without any warning whatsoever. Not back in my day. We had regulations to follow, and worked with even the worst members before we ever had to resort to warns or bans... Cheers for the info, Shiro-chan. I have little concern for maintaining YOUR standards of correctness simply because I registered long ago. I'm not arguing the ruling. I'm arguing the delivery the ruling, and a lack of courtesy I hope anyone would receive, new or old. Regardless, I am raising my concerns with the moderator in private, and thus your opinion (unrelated to the OP) is unwanted.

Aix
Warning points are... warnings. To the member. Tipping them off that they don't want to get banned.
Premier Alexander Romanov
So, how do you get the "warning points" thing removed from your profile?Because my sidebar seems to be perpetually marked that I have 0 warning points.
Frunk
Your posting in a public forum. If you didn't want your topic to be seen by the public, you should have posted it at 37. I asked a question about warning points. It was answered. Then you felt the need to take the thread off topic, state opinions of little relevance and make an innuendo about a forum I ran that closed down nearly 3 years ago. However, as long as a moderator doesn't warn you for it, you may as well keep doing whatever you want to pump yourself up. You are really cool.
