Night
feels.jpg If it honestly means anything whatsoever I personally think you're absolutely fucking amazing. Kazooie
group hug YCM group hug ;-; this makes me wonder what makes RL so supposedly "better" no hugs pls If it honestly means anything whatsoever I personally think you're absolutely f***ing amazing. Just wanted to say that since I really don't think something as simple as a "like" would be enough of an accurate portrayal. Aw... Thanks Night. I really really hate myself, but I would be lying if I said this didn't make me feel at least a little good. ^^'' YCM was an angsty teenager in 2011-2012 Does that mean it's the college student that's taking the literature course that teaches it that it knows absolutely everything now? I wasn't going to say anything, but that is legit. People like to scoff at online relationships, but what you two have is more real than most. Considering that my adoptive father and my mom met online and got married seven days later, I like to think they aren't as horrible as most people act like. Maybe I just got lucky, maybe not, but I'm happy with it!

goddamnit names are a pain
I really wish people understood online relationships (both BF and GF ones as well as just friendship) more and didn't scoff at you for it. People like Kazooie (and Black) prove this stuff can happen and I'm pretty sure I trust half of YCM (at least) moreso than people I only know IRL. Basically I'm saying that I love this kind of thing and real people can die in a hole

Maybe I just got lucky, maybe not, but I'm happy with it! I just mean that if you were to tell someone "Oh, we met on a Yugioh forum," a lot of people would react negatively. but your relationship is based entirely on real feelings and both of you as people. A lot of people act like that you have to go around flirting with random strangers to find someone. And you guys give me hope that it's not the case. FTW (For The Wynn)
I'm glad your relationship has been so good. I haven't spoken to either you or Black for a long time, but when I came back to YCM, that was one of the things I was glad to still see.

Kazooie
We have Night and Rai who are insanely hipster like everyone in my classes now so I can safely say that yes, it is. I dread to think about what kind of adult YCM would become. I really wish people understood online relationships (both BF and GF ones as well as just friendship) more and didn't scoff at you for it. Basically I'm saying that I love this kind of thing and real people can die in a hole Er, I just want to point out before this gets out of hand that online relationships are hard. Like, soul crushingly hard at times. There are times where I've thought that being dead would have really been better because it's that hard. People often bring up physical contact as an argument against it, and while that can be worked around, they're kinda right. Not being able to hug him, or kiss him, or even just hold his hand has gotten me really depressed multiple times. We do what we can together, but being so limited and so far apart is hard. Long distance relationships, online relationships are some of the hardest things to be able to handle. Well to be honest before it happened to me, I probably would've reacted negatively as well. Mainly because Yugioh forum though, not online. Yugioh forums have a habit of being mostly awful. x-x I'm glad your relationship has been so good. I haven't spoken to either you or Black for a long time, but when I came back to YCM, that was one of the things I was glad to still see. It's good to see you again! And it's been a blessing really. Long distance relationships, online relationships are some of the hardest things to be able to handle. You see, I didn't mean they had to stay online. Meeting online is more of what I meant...and subsequently developing friendship as such. Besides...you'll end up together anyway! You'll get to be physical all you *shot* I don't think one could literally date online and never meet in person- it seems farfetched. I just see this as the start to something more special. Especially considering you can be yourself more (at least sometimes, IMO) online than IRL. Besides that I wish you two the best of luck~ My brain is on romance mode now BTW doesn't help that I'm reading this and manga at 3am xD I can understand how it may be depressing though. From what little thought I've put into romance physical contact actually seems...good.
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
This took an interesting turn in the time I spent off. Which is one thing I love about this place, the people here can end up talking about really important things, and really not important things, in the same place. Honestly, while I don't know any of you people and you don't know me. I can say I've enjoyed what little time I've spent here. Probably why I keep coming back. And any kind of relationship, be it romantic or otherwise, can often be difficult online. Partially since it's much easier to misunderstand each other online. But as my best friend, who I'd die for, I met online and (for now) only can hang out online I can say that it's just as real as a friendship made in "real life". Rodrigo
Damnit Caeda, giving me feels this early in the morning ;w; So, to all people that say Black is a bad person just because he's direct when he posts on TCG, you're all wrong. When I was active here in 2011, I was closer to Black, and he is indeed a great person and friend. We still talk on the YCM chat.

When I was active here in 2011, I was closer to Black, and he is indeed a great person and friend. We still talk on the YCM chat. Just cause someone is up-front about things doesn't make them a bad person. More people need to realize that. There are days where I wish I could look at posts I made in 2007, just for memory's sake. Not-so-Radiant Arin
I was in my Junior Year of High School, so I would have been 17. I realized there was a forum a few months later so I decided to join that. And it was on that day my plan unfolded to turn this place into my own personal harem. Tourmaline
There are a few people who have not posted in this topic who would have interesting stories to tell, I believe. Onto myself.... I joined in January 2010 (making me 14 at the time) because my small group of friends had a revived interest in Yu-Gi-Oh!, and one in particular found the card maker and joined it purely for that. He told me to join and, despite actually using the card maker once in a blue moon years earlier than that, finally decided to make an account under the username I used everywhere else at the time. Or, rather, I joined GameFAQs in 2007 and used the name "borealis" because I thought they were pretty. It allowed me to find a name here with little creativity needed. I changed my name to Paranoia Infinite because I had an obsession with Dance Dance Revolution, which evolved into my currently strong obsession with Stepmania. My years of practice since then let me pass the following song, which is the greatest attestation to my obsession (people I've spoken to often probably have already seen this) It's just a little part of how my past here actually changed me in some way. Now, when I was in the Black Knights with DL, Mako, Wynn, Archwing, et cetera, I wanted a new username after a while and DL had been on at the same time. He was torn between Nagi and Hinagiku but eventually chose the latter, which is how I have the name I am known as among the forum (besides Alice) today. It would have been terribly odd if he chose Nagi because then the member that took Nagi would never have had the name themselves, and it would have changed them, too. Of course, that is when my activity spiked and I gained some recognition here besides a random member, where I mean my alias was known by a notable amount of people. Of course, nothing spectacular. I was active until February 2012, because that was an absolutely horrid time for me (which led to a LOT more that I'll be keeping to myself). After that, I became more of how I have been for the last while, which is nothing but aimless drifting and lurking. I mean, besides that "Hina for mod" commotion. Anyway, I became slightly more active recently, also to help me get distracted from some things (mostly thanking two people in particular for this) that I did not like to dwell upon. Now half the reason I come here is on my profile and a bit to lurk around the forum, as it still takes away some time I would rather not use in many other places that I otherwise could. Oh, and I have been posting rarely since 2012, but they are often of significant length, informally speaking.
Zauls
Wow, and I thought I had been on this site since the early days... I joined in June 2009 when I was 12. Am now 17. I just used the card maker initially and didn't think about using the forum. Then I got iHop into it and he started using the forum so I thought I would too. And talking about this whole online relationships thing. The only relationship I've ever had was online and really I don't see why people give it such a bad name. Its just another means of meeting people and if it works then there's really nothing wrong with that. Its nice to hear a story with a nice ending because unfortunately mine hasn't been. Anyway, definitely haven't regretted joining YCM. It has eaten away at many many hours of boredom.
Simping For Hina
I ended up joining this forum when I was in 8th grade, around Christmas. It was three days after my birthday, and i just turned 14. That is when I joined the forum, and it is was because I really had nothing to do properly within my life. But I stuck with the forum, even if I cut off from it for about 6 months.
