So I built this at a box tournament today and will begin to play it at locals. Decklist isn't very tight so I am welcome to all suggestions. Extra and Side deck is pretty standard stuff, still testing now though.

If you want another Monarch option, Caius is awesome for stopping plays that hit the graveyard. Tribute summons are pretty easy if you have Level Eater eating a Monarch's level so you can tribute the Eater.


My main objective for using Raiza is purely as an out to Beelze. I would rather run other normal summon monsters that help me further my win condition of forming the field with synchros.

But Caius is a better out to Beelze than Raiza...

 

And I don't think you should worry too much about it, unless your locals are weird.

 

Oh derp. I thought Caius's wording made it so that it wouldn't be able to deal with Beelze. My locals also plays Beelze a lot and having a Caius or a Raiza as an instant out to something is very good anyway even if your opponent is not using Beelze.

I would definitely add another Caius if Beelze is big where you are. Two should never clog  with all of the fodder you can make. as for some changes...

+3 Miracle Fertalizer(This combos great with Doppel Warrior, as well as fuels your plant engine.)

+2 Doppel Warrior (How could you not run him in something like this?)

+1 Level Eater (This is just needed for consistency. You want to have it when you need it.)

+1 Quickdraw (Great for dropping Quilbolts and Eaters to the grave. He is also another Tempest target for Debris)

+1 Tempest Dragon (On top of the reasons mentioned above, he is also another dragon target in the grave.)

+3 Tuning (Consistency. Duh!)

+1 RotA (^See Above^)

+3 Royal Decree (Self explanatory. Pop off without fear.)

-1 MST (You got three Decree, you won't miss it.)

-3 Reckless ( I don't like Reckless without another draw engine. Besides, Decree.)

-1 Gorz You should always have field presence).

-2 Tour Guide (No)

-1 Birdman (He could do cool things, but the space was needed for higher priority cards.)

-2 Tengu (He takes up your normal summon, and dead drawing into both blows. And also for the above reason.)

-1 Quilbolt (Three is cloggy.)

-3 Frost (I was originally going to do Faders in there place, but they kinda got cut out. as well. Make some room for one or two if you feel the need for the protection.)

 

This should bring some synergy to the deck. Feel free to make some changes to get the monarchs in there since you are afraid of Beelze. But you can always side three of them to make sure you get them in game two and three. Along with some other Beelze counters, like Black Horn of Heaven, which can be used against a slew of things. Maxx C is another great choice. I could drop the Quilbolts for a pair of them, but that makes it hard to hit Librarian, so...

 

Your Extra Deck is going to be a piece of work...
