Mob beats driver who accidentally hit a boy with pickup

This is pretty harsh; I feel bad for the driver much more than the child honestly. I can understand the child is in bad condition, but at least he's not exactly dead on the scene. It can be understood that some people may speed too much on residential neighborhoods but hey, it's children. They're very small and their actions are spontaneous so it's hard to tell what they're going to do. And it said they were still going to play; Did that experience ever fricking told them that it was a consequence of playing around like that?

And 30 people is even more brutal which demonstrates a nasty amount of deindividualization; And that literally can all hurt more than being rammed by a car/truck. The driver never ran away yet people let their premature justice headsets kick in and use a higher amount of violence to solve a problem. Mob Psychology ladies and gentlemen.

Let me get this straight...kid gets ran over and this guy already has to LIVE with this guilt and THEN he gets beat up by a bunch of people? I feel for both people injured in this and legitimately mean it when I say those other guys can go to hell and stay a bit.

Instead of getting help right away they beat up someone trying to get help.

This pisses me off.

I just want to hear about something actually good happening in the world but apparently the world stopped being good.
I may be exaggerating but this is just depressing.

Guy accidentally hits a kid (who fortunately survived this), get the tar beaten out of him by a mob.

Unless he said something stupid to said mob, they had no legitimate reason to do so [unless they're like the usual thugs that walk around the street and like to hit people for no reason]

Hell, they took the guy's credit cards and his money after creaming him. Though considering this is Detroit (unless I'm mistaken, they're known for their gang activities), this isn't really surprising.

At least the man did the right thing and stopped, but it sucks that the crowd beat him up.

If children are known to play in the area and "their actions are spontaneous" wouldnt it be better to not speed. Also, drivers should be aware of their surrondings, specially with children around. Kids dont understand consequences as well as adults, so im not surprised about them going to play.

Also "“Our chief indicated there was a large group of approximately 30 or more people,” Woody said. “But that’s not to say they all took part in the assault, but they did come out to assist the child, and it was a large group at that time. They could have been from that large group"

It said in one of the articles that the police believed he wasn't speeding or breaking any road rules.

Personally, I'll notice if I'm driving and there's some kids coming up on the curb, and slow down below the limit/change lanes/drive accordingly.

Still, can his beating be classed as a HATE CRIME? Yes I went there.

I'm not american, so I don't really get what's the deal with all those race issues, lol.
