Sakura's Pendulum Template (V1.1)

Version 1.1

Trimmed textboxes and made them browish color, boxes are more of a whitish color, resized the Pendulum Scales so they have some space between both sides of boxes, widened the spaces for said scales and (hopefully) equal sizes. Also smoothed out the gradient between the Effect Monster/Spell Card templates.

 

Text option set to "Filled", so effects should go to the edges of the boxes without leaving ugly spaces between (other one was in Left-Justified).

Decreased the size of SET ID, Passcode and copyright. [/spoiler]

Since a lot of people are making them lately, I decided to try my hand at doing my own Pendulum Template. (Done in GIMP)

I based mine off of the current Pendulum Monsters on the Wikia [with close enough color as I can make it]. There are a few errors here and there; that much is certain.

 

Some problems doing this were getting the coloration close to the existing stuff and sizing of the boxes. The alignment of the scales / numbers may be off a bit. (Hopefully, I fixed some of the issues in the updates)

 

For the scales, I rendered them off from the official cards (in particular, this one). 

 

Size-wise, it's 500 x 728 (I think around the size the stuff on Wikia is)

I plan on releasing it for you all later on when all of the kinks are worked out. (At that point, I'll ask Yin or Night to move this thread to Tutorials)

The biggest problem I see is the harsh transition between the cyan/orange, perhaps a gradient map going from bottom to top using the colours or just smudging the cyan up very lightly.

 

The text in the effect box feels very uneven and usually the line goes straight to the end before transitioning to the next line.

 

The left gem seems to be clipping very slightly with the edge of the border and the outlines would look much better being brown rather than the green puke colour that you have used (they are also far too fat)

I did mention the colors were bad in main post and I agree on making the whole thing brown or something close to what the real cards have. I can soften up the break between the colors (given I kinda sliced an Effect Monster blank and put it over a Spell Card one w/out making the break smooth)

 

Text-wise, might be due to me keeping it on left-justified, thus a simple fix to change it to "fill".

 

In terms of the gems, I should resize them a bit (also check that the boxes are the same size also; think the right one is slightly larger, hence why it doesn't appear to be scraping). And I'll go work on making the boxes smaller. I should not have been using the usual boxes and recoloring/sizing them accordingly [I could just cut some portions of them]
