Thar
Jonathon is awesome, I agree. He's number 2 of the 3 Jojos I've seen, number 1 being young Joseph. Thinking about starting part 4 in the manga.
mitchermitcher
Thinking about starting part 4 in the manga. Good of a time as any. For the longest time Part 4 has been stuck with duwang translations(a chinese Jojo fan tried to translate it into english for us all, his love for jojo surpassing his comprehension of the english language. shitty translations, we love them, but they're not really a good way to read part 4), but a while ago a proper retranslation project started, and all of part 4's been completely retranslated recently. Tourmaline
Did nobody else love actually hearing Joseph predict what Empress would say like he used to? I swear it made me feel awesome but also made me think of the Pillar Men. It's always nice to see he's still the same as he used to be, and the fact that he used his Ripple and stuff too. Jonathan would be proud.

My favorite JoJo's that I've seen are just exactly that of Thar's.
The Amazing Avian
My favorite one is probably Joseph then Josuke at a close second. The Duwang translation is actually not that bad, but nothing makes sense grammatically and there are untranslated bits (ABAJ anyone?) In addition, the name of the city is wrong, but again, it was all we had for a very long time. The beautiful Duwang.

The Amazing Avian
Yes, the Beautiful Duwang. 12/10 would read again for giggles.
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Why exactly did they feel the need to put "/a/"? And from what I remember, Duwang comes from attempting to translate Morioh into some Chinese dialect, and then into English. Anyways, I had to read the Duwang translations for like the first half of part 4. Wasn't too horrible, in all honesty, but it's confusing at first, and sometimes you don't get the whole gist of what's going on.

Nicο
Speaking of English adaptations: http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2014/06/23-1/crunchyroll-to-stream-english-dub-of-jojos-bizarre-adventure-stardust-crusaders I haven't really heard stuff from these guys who are voices the characters, or at least not for a long time, and even if I was okay with the previous roles I heard (Myotismon somewhat comes to mind), I'm not sure about now, and especially since there seems to be talk questioning if they can pull off a British enough accent, for the ones doing Joesph and Dio, which yeah, does make sense (well Dio). Not to say I'm not interested in it, but another thing is, if I do like it, I'd just hope they do more, especially Phantom Blood & Battle Tendency. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
By the way, I think most people missed the detail in the news of Part 3 lasting a year is that it will be "...with all the Stands that appear in that part of the original manga." So every single Stand will be represented.
Fusion X. Denver
I'm stoked that we're getting a year's worth of JoJo. That's like, twice the amount I expected. I didn't even realize we weren't getting everything originally, so I'm glad for this change. As for the dub news, alright I guess? Why wouldn't they dub Part 1 and 2 first though? Nicο
Supposedly because Part 3 is the most known Part outside of Japan, I suppose mostly because of the video games and the dubbed OVA. The manga was also all that was able to be licensed in terms of English until just recently with Viz acquiring Phantom Blood. Speaking of, since that and the second are the shortest ones. It may not be impossible to make that the way my bro experiences at least part 1.
The Amazing Avian
I'm just hoping that if they end up dubbing the whole thing, Polnareff will be Jean Pierre Polnareff, not Jean Pierre Eiffel like in ASB.

I don't think Eiffel would fit the lip flaps for Polnareff. I hate it when people get uppity over copyrights, but oh well, what can you do. The Amazing Avian
If I remember right, "YES, I AM!!!" EDIT: Wait, no, I'm wrong. That happens with Judgement, not Justice. I'm confusing the OVAs with the manga.

DARKPLANT RISING
Jojo isn't known much outside Japan, but it's actually one of the most popular and influential works in all Japanese manga history. Possibly the first manga ever to distribute the idea of superpower fights that utilizes wits. Also, people on this forum should know Jojo is the reason Kazuki Takahashi started writing manga (for one, he read this, was struck, and decided his path. For two, Yugioh is deeply influenced by Jojo - general ace monsters being like Stands, the recurring use of ancient civilization artifacts, a mystical Egypt, and finally, AN INHERITED PREFIX IN THE NAME. Also, the stories in the original Yugioh manga before it starts card games is strikingly similar to Part 4 of Jojo).Being an old fan, I'm quite glad and pleased by how it's gradually growing recognition in other countries. That's actually really interesting, I can see that correlation with monsters and Stands now that you've mentioned it. And I loved original YGO, so consider me hyped for Part 4, whenever we get that. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Part 4 is pretty interesting. It's too bad that all I could really find for the first half of it was the Duwang translations, though. I personally wasn't too interested in it at the time of reading, but looking back it had a lot of really cool elements and characters. Part 4's JoJo is also Araki's favorite last I'd heard, but that could have changed.
Fusion X. Denver
The old lady had me laughing this episode. Laughing with Polnareff and then thinking about cutting his dick off in her mind and humoring Hol Horse before stabbing him with scissors was lulzy.
