The way they handled the Stand visually this episode was a bit weird. Also interesting that they censored Jotaro smoking again. I guess they are fine implying he smokes, but are not allowed to show it? I mean, you can see the cigarette lit, and he talks about smoking, etc. But they shade out his mouth.

Oh, and I am surprised they played out the whole scene for the Stand User for this episode. I thought they might leave out the shower scene and replace it with something else.

I'm glad they didn't though. I mean, it reminds me of those old horror movies I always used to see parodies of and practically never see while watching an actual movie.

Yeah, there's a lot of horror references throughout JoJo, apparently. I'm not a big horror film guy, though, so I can only catch the obvious/really popular ones. So many things that Araki takes inspiration from. Arnie and Sly, western music, horror movies, fashion and modeling, etc.
At first I did believe it was something that controlled machinery as implied, but I would be lying if I said I didn't have my suspicions about that being all there was to it after easily being able to figure out the monkey was the stand user from the first I saw of him.

I was at one point thinking hard that there had to be one person there or something, but deep in my subconscious I was like, "Nope, they've gotta have an animal do the people stuff at least once, this being no exception. Not like there was anywhere that said only people can be stand users, but well, yeah."

Well, I only knew because I read it forever ago in the manga. Otherwise I might be surprised. I remember being surprised in the manga, having thought it was related to possessing electronics like a monster was in another manga I had read. Though the orangutan being the stand user wasn't a surprise.

It doesn't come up too often, but they show more and more that not just humans that can be Stand Users. Stands are just psychic projections, after all. Throughout all of the Parts, there are a few animals that are given Stand abilities, including a cat, rat, turtle, and the weirdest one, though it was an artificially created Stand, is plankton.
Where is the anime compared to the manga right now?

Apparently up to the first half of chapter 133 by way of the JoJo wiki. Thankfully enough, I'm not looking any further than that...

Dealing with the Strength stand user and arriving in Singapore.

So much stuff that out of context makes no sense in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, but I guess that's why it was called Bizarre Adventure and not just "adventure". For instance, (character) punching (other character's) spaghetti with his Stand, (Stand) that attempts to kill (character) by ordering a bunch of pizzas (and almost succeeds), and (character) punching a woman in the face and saying "we're friends... of justice", etc etc.

Didn't even mention which Parts those are from, so

The "You're going to say" strikes again!

Stardust Crusaders will be a year long. Can't say I'm happy, to be honest, too long for part 3. It's gonna drag on like hell, and considering this is part 3...At least it's practically confirmed they won't cut out the Sun fight.

Part 7 seriously never ;_:

I feel like this would be the closest I've gotten to following a longrunner that is massively popular, especially one that is shounen. I've still been preferring part 2 to this but I guess it shows it's popular.

I haven't been reading the manga, but just going by the volume numbers between this and the previous seems like it is a little too long, the bizarre (kill me off now) number in 3-cours would have probably fit it better. But well, the pace has been just dandy so far, so long as it doesn't get much slower... although it just might. I wouldn't know. Although I can guess that it most likely can.

So, is there a reason why Crunchyroll won't let me watch Episode 12? Something tells me that it's still a little early, but still. I wanna watch it so badly. ;_;

Why don't you just watch it on Kissanime? You dodge the advertisements, do not have to wait as long for episodes and also have it in any quality from 360 to 720 or 1080.

3/4th of a year sounds like a perfect length actually, if you ask me. 4 cours is overkill.

What if SC actually finishes about halfway through the year and we get Diamond is Not Crash Unbreakable? Probably won't happen, but it's a possiblity. I don't remember SC being long enough to need any more than 30 episodes.

I'd like to hope, but the twitter confirm specifically says Stardust Crusaders will be a year round. Would be really, really nice, but I wouldn't hope on it.

But yeah, at this rate we'll get part 7 in the next decade.

My soul is filled with tears.

Cause I can't watch kissanime.com on my phone. Besides, 1.) my computer can only run SD without lag and 2.) I can no longer watch ANYTHING on it without it freezing up after a couple of minutes.

I was hoping you would say you only use Crunchyroll as support to the industry, which also would have been very fine with me.

I'm not sure about the Stardust Crusaders thing being so long. I STILL rewatch Ultimate Kars' awakening often because I just love how the environment felt then with the music and the grandness behind his voice. Dubstep actually worked in JoJo because it was made in a way that complemented the situation. I really hope they at least revive such a theme or that song in particular, though I'm very skeptical.

Either way, seeing Jonathan in the opening still makes me feel really bad. But it's pretty awesome how this season has Jonathan as Dio's body then the two other relevant JoJos all in one season in video form. I hope they keep references to their older seasons in the openings, because Jonathan feels really underappreciated.
