DL
Maybe. From DS I really liked Yoshi Falls, Delfino Square, Waluigi Pinball, Tick-Tock Clock (it was a lot harder in DS, imo), Airship Fortress, Wario Stadium, and Bowser's Castle. Its retro courses weren't as good, but it was also the first time it had retro courses, plus MK7 has like the best retro courses behind MK8. DS had Baby Park tho, so the rest don't matter, lol. Eh, I enjoyed the mk7 tracks more x.x Things like Koopa Beach are...eh.
Agro
There were a lot of boring tracks that I only liked cause I hadn't played many MK much back then, but still even today, there are a lot more I love in that game than I sort of liked in MK7. Toffee.
I don't ever remember anyone mentioning anything about Battle Mode; What stages does this game have for that mode? O,o(My copy of this game is in the mail; shoosh)
Nicο
I don't ever remember anyone mentioning anything about Battle Mode; What stages does this game have for that mode? O,o (My copy of this game is in the mail; shoosh) Various race courses, I think they are edited a bit, but actual race courses. I don't like the Battle Mode, though. http://www.mariowiki.com/Mario_Kart_8#Battle_stages Waluigi Pinball, yeah... That was the only DS one I really liked. Oh yeah, and Airship Fortress. In the DS Tick-Tock Clock, sure it was harder, but that's kind of why I like 8's veriosn more, I hated how much of an obstacle the hands were. Lonk
I don't ever remember anyone mentioning anything about Battle Mode; What stages does this game have for that mode? O,o (My copy of this game is in the mail; shoosh) How about entire tracks from the Grand Prix/Vs. Mode as stages? It has the potential to be really nuts. Also everyone, I found 7's tracks to generally be better than DS's tracks (Though, I did like Wario Stadium, Waluigi Pinball, Tick-Tock-Clock and Airship Fortress alot. The rest just were meh at best). My favorite new tracks would have to be Thwomp Ruins, Toad Harbor and Electrodrome for the raving Piranha Plants. Agro
Potential, maybe. However, all accounts say it's terrible. Hard to find other players etc.
DL
Thwomp Ruins is SO pretty. Also I wonder if anyone from OTHER games will ever show up in Mario Kart...as guests...
Nicο
Thwomp Ruins is SO pretty. Also I wonder if anyone from OTHER games will ever show up in Mario Kart...as guests... I'd say Pac-man characters and to a point R.O.B. (not really) fit as other games guests. Maybe Diddy Kong and Funky Kong considering they aren't really FROM Mario games, but Donkey Kong is like the closest related to it, so I'm thinking they aren't really counted. Lonk
Potential, maybe. However, all accounts say it's terrible. Hard to find other players etc. Potential doesn't mean that it's good. It just means that it can do so much that, if done right, can be amazing. However, it was poorly executed.
Chiri Tsukikawa
Also I wonder if anyone from OTHER games will ever show up in Mario Kart...as guests... That should be it's own game. Nintendo Kart... *shot*
Toffee.
Sherbert Land and Toad's Turnpike are battle stages? My body is ready.
Nicο
I obviously can't time the drifting right on Donut Plains 3. I know I should be practicing that instead of going with the way I don't screw up.
Agro
Sherbert Land and Toad's Turnpike are battle stages? My body is ready. No it's not. I just played a level on Toad's Harbor... it was awful D: I obviously can't time the drifting right on Donut Plains 3. I know I should be practicing that instead of going with the way I don't screw up. Start drifting early. Before you get out of the water on that one turn in particular. It also depends on the ride you're using.
Tentacruel
Yeah, unfortunately battle mode is pretty much awful. The game is amazing, but it doesn't have much content.
Nicο
Definitely agree. I only slightly liked Battle Mode, if anything, but this just isn't mildly amusing. Kay, thanks Agro, mildly large screw up, but got 1:46:633 in dat Donut Time Trial. I told you people I'm no good at Time Trials.
Agro
Apparently I lost all my MK8 skills overnight and so today I kept getting beat on almost every level.Rainbow Road finally sunk its teeth in D:
Lonk
I can finally consistently do Dolphin Shoals now since I got the hang of inward turning. Also, the RNG hates me since I only get coin items in 1st while the person in 2nd place gets a red shell on the last lap at 150cc/Mirror D:

Lonk
Besides the Lightning Cup at 150cc (2 stars), I got 3 stars in all the cups on every class.
BehindTheMask
Speaking of karts and characters, what's everyone's mains so far? Shy guy w/ max acceleration Yeah, unfortunately battle mode is pretty much awful. The game is amazing, but it doesn't have much content. I hate battle mode this gen, which is the main attraction(for me).
Flame Dragon
Hasn't battle mode been getting worse and worse with each passing gen? At least, thats what it always seemed like to me.
Nicο
What I don't get is why when you go online you can't just choose between all the courses, but the random button gives you the chance to get something that isn't one of the choices. Or I should say, it almost seems like that's the only thing random does.

J-Max
Hasn't battle mode been getting worse and worse with each passing gen? At least, thats what it always seemed like to me. I agree with this. SMK is a classic, MK64 has Block Fort one of the best Battle Arenas ever. DD has Shine Tag and Bob-Omb battle to spice things up along with 6 pretty well designed Arenas. MKWii (Wasn't that the one that was Tag Team only? as in 2 on 2?) Haven't played much of the Handheld ones but DS was alright I guess. MK8 is terrible for Battle Mode.... They could have at least had a Square partof the stage to Battle on rather then the whole Track. Only one I kind of like is Yoshi Valley but this is dueto how Manic it is.
