Dementuo
It's a format Koko and friends discovered recently. It involves both players using decks focused on Tour Guide and the like.

It's essentially traditional format with a deck-type restriction on it, but it really does work out amazingly. Due to the fact that you're pushing most of eachother's resources out through spells and traps, you won't see a whole lot of damage being done each turn (bar opening stupidly perfect), and since both players are playing the same type of deck (and should be running triple veiler), side-decks aren't needed at all (that, and you wouldn't want to drop anything anyways). So of course, the idea of the deck type is to get off Crush Card Virus with Sangan, and use the Chaos bosses as your primary boss monsters. Because of how the deck is built, you can power through it just enough to get enough fodder for the Chaos bosses, but without going completely turbo. The format actually ends up being incredibly slow, but that's a good thing, similar to how Goat Format worked.
3 Tour Guide from the Underworld, Sangan, 3 Effect Veiler and Crush Card Virus must be in a Perfect Format deck. Sanwich is errata'd to have this effect: "Can only be summoned by Fusion Summoned by banishing the above fusion material monsters from your side of the field and cannot be summoned by other ways. When you Fusion Summon this card this way: You win the duel." Banned: Magical Scientist Cyber-stein
After a lot of testing, the format's proven to be pretty skillful and incredibly fun, and I suggest you all give it a try. goddamnit names are a pain
Also, in this format, Sanwich is errata'd to being an alternate win condition when summoned (but it can be Veiler'd). Yep legit as hell Super Poly wins games It's obv the bestest
Wildflame
So, it's a 1 deck format. On purpose. Pass.

Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
So, it's a 1 deck format. On purpose. Pass. It's literally just this deck? Don't think a joke like this needed its own thread.
Dementuo
It's more of a deck type, and it's not actually a joke. We've been playing it a lot really and trying to figure out ways of improving it. And you're free to run different variants. Besides, this is a banlist/game theory. This is the section it belongs in. goddamnit names are a pain
So I brought up Chain Material. It seemed a bit bad for the win con. But that's about it. >Bad cards >in the perfect format >full of banned cards

But that's about it. >Bad cards >in the perfect format >full of banned cards This is why the thread exists. Because we may need to create an additional banlist for this format after all. Also, on the point of this being a "1-deck format": Goat Format is a 1-deck format but a whole lot of people still find it fun.

Literally it is 3 TGU Sangan and banned cards are allowed (one copy). Effect Veiler seems mandatory. It's fun as hell.
Dementuo
There's no information here except that "it's like traditional format" and that there's a decklist. I explained that the format works in a way similar to traditional, but its focus is around a certain deck/card, ie Tour Guide. The decklist is there to give an example of how you could build the deck. Once again, this is a theory/idea that's similar to what's called "Goat Format". A slightly altered format based around a certain kind of deck.
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
You need to put down definitive rules, because "tour guide deck with Sangan and banned cards" can mean a lot. Can I play 1 Tour Guide and 1 Sangan and I am playing in the format? What if I just put in a bunch of Gladiator Beasts around that?

I'd say 3 TGU Sangan and maybe even Veiler should be mandatory.
Dementuo
Just another reason why the thread exists. I'll put together a definitive skeleton and some proper guidelines tonight, and add them to the OP tomorrow.
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Also, Sanwitch could be summoned by Cyber-Stein, Magical Scientist, Summoner of Illusions, Future Fusion, and any number of fusion substitutes + 1 of the required cards. With all the draw available, too, it's going to be super easy to get all of this. If you're really serious about this, you need definitive rules. So really, thank you for your help in actually bringing up a solid point. Once again: Just another reason why the thread exists. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
If there weren't any actual rules besides the two in the first place, I don't think it needed a thread. Maybe I'm just alone in this, though.
Dementuo
The rules we had were more like guidelines and we're in the process of developing them into something more coherent and specific.
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Here you go. A "You won't get to play Yu-Gi-Oh! Sanwitch deck". You can summon it with Magical Scientist or Metamorphosis.
Dementuo
You know, I got your point the first time I said it, acknowledged it as being completely valid, mentioned I'd do something about it, and even thanked you for reminding me about it. It was really sort of unnecessary to make a deck just to spite me about it. =u

It was really sort of unnecessary to make a deck just to spite me about it. =u I didn't make it to spite you. In fact, it had nothing to do with what I was talking about before. I mostly made that to point out that Sanwitch as a win condition, at the very least when summoned by other card effects, is a bad idea. All of those hand hitters kill Veiler, and Book of Moon flips Magical Scientist when you try to Veiler it so it goes off anyways. If you veiler Sanwitch, he can just summon another one and another one.

Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Yes, I know. I acknowledged those points already. Not directly, no. All you said is "have you not been reading my posts this is why we have this thread in the first place to discuss the rules and how we're going to develop them.": I was adding to my point, since you didn't give any actual feedback on what I was saying. Just that you're going to discuss rules.
