how to embed youtube videos in posts (its not automatic like it used to be)

Title says it all. It used to be that any youtube link would embed automatically, but when I edited my post here:

it removed the embed and I want it back

Thanks, I just did it, the format is [ video ]_______[ /video ] where _________ is the youtube URL and without the spaces inside the brackets

Awesome. I was wondering what caused it to sometimes be a link and sometimes appear fully. Thank you to this thread.

Ooooh... I was struggling with one in the Rekindling thread yesterday. Thought the tag was [media]

 

But then I put in a different video and that worked straight awayu, so it might also depend on the Youtube video you use for some reason.

This is also true: some YT vids don't allow for embedding.

 

And it might be "media" tags, not "video" tags...apologies in advance.
