Maeriberii Haan
Well, with the CotD thread now focusing on the cards themselves as Bushi stopped doing lores for them, I believe that a separate thread should be made about the lores themselves. Let's start this off with the newly translated Mordred Phantom's lore from Monthly Bushiroad.
(Where is... here?) Inside a outgrown forest of which branches can block the moonlight, on the cliff that even beasts would not dare to visit after the sun sets, it found a disappearing "torch". (What is... this?) The "torch" was a vanishing life. Given that there were many bloodstains and palmprints were found on the cliff, it derived that their owners being someone who suffered severe injuries and ran into this place. "Haa... Haa..." From his sharp long ears, everyone can distinguish him as an elf on the first sight. He wore an armor so beautiful that many would mistaken him as a formal knight of the Holy Nation, but on his armor sealed the sigil of the village watchguards. "It doesn't work... here is my..." He has dazzlingly blond hair and eyes comparable to transparent amber, but it was impossible to identify his beauty with blood and mud on his face. However, with his life vanishing, now is the time... "What is this...?" (Light...) ...that they could meet each other. "Who are...you?" (I can feel his... light.) In front of the knight a brilliant golden flame appears. Its size was so small that one could grasp it with a single hand, but this "agglutinated light" could emit strong light that can reach several miles away. (I am... My name is...) "Okay... you don't need to say it..." He wasn't responding to a voice that could be heard. After all, the brilliant glow could not produce a sound. Nevertheless, the knight outreaches his arm as if he was speaking with the glow. "You... are somthing sacred... aren't you...?(Cough)" Blood came out from the knight's mouth. It seems that his cracked ribs puntuated his internal organs. Even so, he continued to outreach his arm. "I beg you! I haven't protected anything! To do something for this planet..." (I haven't done anything...) "The sanctuary...this planet...should never be controlled by them!" (Then, come with me.) The outreaching arm and the brilliant glow intersected. "Mordred." The voice pulled him back to the reality. His silver hair, dully shining, has lost its colour. His eyes are scarlet in colour, as if they are melted in blood. His jet black armour reflects no light. "I am... I see, I have been sleeping." It seems that he was suprised that he had slept. Returning his outreaching arm to his chest, his face looked puzzled. This man is "Mordred", the leader of "Shadow Paladin" and the one who command the elite troop "Revengers". "It is rare that you show such an unsightly look." The one who teased "Mordred" is the hero who re-rallied the "Shadow Paladin" and the vice commader-in-chief of "Revengers", "Blaster Dark". "It's the time." "Aaa, it's coming." The words were too few to be described as a conversation, and the leader stood up somehow reluctantly. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At the moment that Mordred and Blaster Dark were walking towards the dorm... "As the topic of discussion, we hope everyone to give us proposals of introducing ourselves!" "Rakia, you! Stop messing around!" "No! I am always thinking that we should consider this as soon as possible!" The meeting is, again, a terrible mess. In response to the rampage of "Rukea" and "Rakia", "Claudas" shouted with rage while "Dorint" said nothing as if he was disgusted. "Every time you speak of self-introduction... what is the meaning of introducing yourself to the enemies we are going to defeat---" "No! We are not doing it for our enemies! We do it for the people---" At that moment. "You idiots are too noisy! Keep quiet!" "Tartu" banged the table while yelling. The several rifts on the table imply her rage for every meeting. But her anger didn't cease for this time. "You are always messing up when the commander-in-chief and the vice commander-in-chief are not here! Are you aware that you are Revengers!? After all, you are always, always---" Before the table broke, Tartu's anger reached the extreme. She could not be stopped in this state. Except by them. "Sorry, we are late." At the moment that everyone thought Tartu's long sermon began, the doors opened, and Mordred and Blaster Dark entered the hall. Immediately, the bustle disappeared like it didn't exist in the first place. Everyone stood formally, faced and watched their leaders. Disregarding Blaster Dark who sighed while watching the falling table, Mordred looked to everyone and spoke. "Now, let's begin our war." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mordred is a mysterious man. All his past history, including his homeplace, is known by none. All members of the Shadow Paladin said they have never met this man before. After all, it is strange that such a mighty knight was never heard by anyone. "Is him someone that I can trust?" Except the Revengers, many members of Shadow Paladin suspected him like "Charon". However, there is something so determinant that can wash away such uneasiness. "You are the one who decide whether to trust him or not." "So, you trust him?" Blaster Dark trusted this mysterious knight and passed the title of leader to him. This fact was enough to link Mordred to the knightly order. It isn't fear but trust of Blaster Blade that everyone follows him. "...I don't mind what you think. But stop being so malicious to that man." "Oh, don't be angry." Being stared sharply, Charon turned his face away with a bittle smile. But he turned back with his normal look, the look as if he could look through everything. "Still, you can't tell me?" "..." "I see. I don't mind. After all, it's my selfish reasons to decide whether to trust him or not." Blaster Dark turned back and walked without speaking a word. Charon could not chase him. "It's fine if you can't tell me. Currently you are trusting him, and this is the thing I want to confirm. Also---" The speech of Charon is mixed with feeling of all members of Shadow Paladin. "We have watched our leader fighting for the nation disregarding his own safety." The young sage spoke out the growing trust of the leader. Without facing Charon, the knight stopped for only a step and left the place. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Inside the forest stood a lonely knight. He stood shocked and still, watching his palms with his scarlet eyes. Raindrops fell down on his palm. The drizzle rain became rainstorm soon, moistering his cheek. "Human...? No. From this guise and this mana, a resident of the forest?" The heavy rain washed away the red blood on his face, revealing his silver hair and dark skin. "Black..." Knocked by the raindrops, he stood up with a dark shadow. "I cannot intersect with the light, can I?" With a smile of solitude on his face, the knight retrieved his helmet and disappeared into the deep side of the forest. "Urgh, you can sleep even on the horse..." He was pulled back into reality by the same voice before. "You are agile even becoming such a shape." In response to the somehow amazed voice, Mordred answered with a nostalgic face. "I have recollected some of my memories in the past." Immediately, Blaster Dark's face is filled with blade-likely sharp aura. "We cannot be imprisoned by the past." "I know that. All we can do is the open the path for the living ones." Just after his response, Mordred landed off from his ride. The brilliance of his eyes increased and his body was enshrouded by black light. "Now is the time to pay for my crime." The enigmatic scene confused all Revengers in the place. But they were not given the time to digest the situation. From the black light stood the black dragon. Some were attracted and some were shocked. This place was engulfed by the whirlpool of chaos except one man. Blaster Dark stood still. "To protect our nation." From the mouth of the black dragon emitted a voice that everyone knows. Everyone forgot their confusion and looked at the black dragon, and Blaster Dark spoke as if to respond to its speech. "To save our mother planet." ""To prevent the destruction of the world, We shall become the shadow of the Sanctuary forever!"" After a while, a war cry erupted so loudly that was never heard before. Even though the black ring was going to fill up the sky, the morale of everyone is not quenched. Yes. He is the shadow of the Sanctuary. He is the black knight who serves the light in the darkness, and continues to protect his nation. With unshakable resolution and firm belief, the war of the dark blades began.
Updates will definitely be slow, as lores will come sparsely. Maeriberii Haan
Second Lore is up. This time it's Daikaiser.
“Gwaaa!” Numberless beams penetrated his chest and melted into the azure. “Dimensional Robo, Goyusha”, a warrior of “Dimension Police” who served to caught the villainous criminals, faced danger that he had never faced before due to a mysterious gang. “Kuh, who are you? Why do you come to this place…” There is nowhere for him to escape---from his darkening sight of view, he could see liquid fuel flowed out from the wound of his chest. “Is this the end of me…?” Immediately after that, many noises of penetrated metals reached his ears. After that, the mysterious gang was defeated by a crimson warrior that he has never seen before. “W, Who are you…Urgh!” “My name is Kaizard. I have come because I received the order to support you. It seems that it is better to change my plan.” Goyusha tried to say something, but his energy has reached the limits. “I had better die rather than to support a weakling.” After hearing the voice and seeing Kaizard flew away, Goyusha lost its consciousness. “The third defense line has been broken!” “The 46th Base is missing. No response from them!” “Forfeit the fortresses from the 28th to the 46th! Concentrate the remaining forces to the defense line!” The headquarter is filled with noises of alert. The mysterious gang, witnessed in many places, focused to strike the headquarter of the vigilantes. The combination of sudden assault, lack of information and the severe wound of Goyusha that put him into the brink of death made the worst battle possible. Final defense line, commonly known as “Maximum”, surrounded the headquarter and was the most heavily defended fortress of this nation. Nevertheless, “Dah! They are endless!” “Stay calm, Cannon! Don’t waste your ammunition!” Even with so many forces, they could do nothing except maintain the defense line. Circled by numberless enemies, it was just a matter of time for the suppression of the headquarter. At that time, a crimson light appeared as swift as wind and defeated the enemies one by one. “I have enough of seeing your unsightly looks, and I can say nothing.” “Kaizard! W,Why are you here!?” “I come to carry out my own justice and exterminate these vermins. Come, Kaizer Grader! Trans-dimension!” In response to the call of Kaizard, a huge armored vehicle appeared from the sky. The armored vehicle separated into many parts and attached on the shoulders and arms of Kaizard quickly. “Super Dimensional Combination! Daikaiser!” With crystal reflecting sunlight on his chest, the magnificient crimson emperor “Super Dimensional Robo, Daikaiser” descended with explosive sound. “Be crushed, vermins! Aaaaahhh!” “So strong…he crushes the enemies as if cutting papers!” The bravely fighting scene of Daikaiser refilled courage to everyone, and the battle started to favor them. “An estimate of 44% of enemy forces is reduced!” The decreasing number of enemies and the performance of Daikaiser made everyone in the headquarter believed they had won the battle. However, just as they were going to celebrate, an alert sound was emitted like it wanted to cleanse their joy. “Eh? W,What is that! A high energy object is detected at the back of the enemy formation!” “What!? Gwaaaa!” Everyone noticed that Daikaiser fell down with black smoke. The culprit was an ominous giant enshrouded in black light, standing at the back of the enemy formation. “TwilighT-BaroN” is the prominent semi-organic mecha of “Link Joker” suited for suppression warfare. [Analysis. Estimated Rank AA. Judged as an Investigation Target.] “You are the commander of the vermins.” [After collection of data. Erase the target. Nullify this area] “Erase…me? Don’t…toy with me!” Daikaiser felt fear from the mechanical voice of TwilighT-BaroN, but he could do nothing with his injured body. [Calamity-Bringer maximum output. Countdown starts.] “That’s bad! Daikaiser, run!” As the countdown started, “Gocannon”, standing next to Daikaiser, persuaded him to run. “Keep your mouth closed! You weakling shall never direct my action!” “It’s not the situation for quarrelling! You shall retreat!” “I tell you to keep your mouth closed! I am different from you…I shall never flee!” “Daimagnum” couldn’t remain as a mere spectator and advised Daikaiser to retreat, but Daikaiser didn’t want to hear from him. In contrast to the firmly standing Daikaiser, his comrades couldn’t hide their anxiety. [23. 22. 21. Count Half] Everyone tried to flee while protecting their own safety. In this disadvantaged situation, no one could help Daikaiser. [13. 12. 11. Last Count] Receiving this bombardment in a defenseless state meant complete destruction. Notwithstanding, Daikaiser didn’t move. Injured and locked on, he could not evade. And even if he evaded, the bombardment would harm the comrades standing behind him, as he considered cool-headedly. [4. 3. 2. 1. Boost…TwilighT-Fall] The bombardment of black light approached Daikaiser like it was cutting off the space. But the beam couldn’t reach its target, as “Ultimate Dimensional Robo, Great Daiyusha” managed to block the bombardment with his sword from above. “You... why do you save me...?” Daikaiser brushed Great Daiyusha’s stretched hand aside and knocked the ground with his fist. At that moment, brontides echoed. [Number of Investigation Targets increases. The collection of data is judged difficult in this situation. Propose to destroy the target... Partly agreed. After the targets cease functioning, collect their remaining data. Roger. Refilling of Calamity-Bringer Begins.] “Can you do this, Daikaiser?” “Whom do you think of speaking with? You had better not showing that unsightly look in the previous battle.” Great Daiyusha nodded his head to Daikaiser’s powerful speech. The two hearts of justice overlapped. “I shall bear it in my core. Go! Justice Sword!” “Kaiser Blade!” Energy flowed out from their bodies and charged their swords like thunder. And then… [Delete this world, TwilighT-Fall] “One slash, one kill!” “Lightningggg!” “Praying Slash!” The spiraling blue and red light devoured the black light easily and destroyed the cannon and half the body of the TwilighT-BaroN. Its gigantic body, with one leg missing, fell to the ground while winding the soil and sand up. [daMage Rate enters daNGeRo. Us zOne. rE. treAt immeDIAtely. iS suGGested. ReTreat is aPPRoved. EverYone. Ev. Ades ] TwilighT-BaroN and all enemy forces disappeared in blinding light immediately. All Dimensional Robos and members of headquarters couldn’t understand what happened, until the sensor recovered, and only two heroes were shown on the screen. “Urgh…” “! Hey!” “Don’t worry. I just used too many energy.” “That is because you enter the fray without recovering fully. That is why people call you a softhearted guy...” “I cannot find a word to counter argue you.” “And other guys are merely weaklings. After all, we don’t know when the headquarter would be assaulted again.” “Aargh. So when that happens, can you fight together with us again?” “Humph... as long as you don’t hinder me.” Great Daiyusha stretched his hand again. In contrast to his brunt words, the crimson emperor grasped Great Daiyusha’s hand firmly.
Maeriberii Haan
Minerva's lore
Monthly Bushiroad Short Novel nº2The Awakening of the Goddess of War “Regalia Administration Office”, Lower Block of “Genesis” This is the important place where Sacred Regalia without owners were administrated. “Haa…” Known by none, inside the office which held many objects defined as cursed, a lady buried her head in her hands. She is "Angelica", with the title “Regalia of Wisdom”, she is the leader of the office. “When I thought of that was a chance to hear from the respected one, she acted as absurdly as usual.” Few days ago, there was an incident that invoked chaos among a portion of the higher-ups of “Oracle Think Tank” and “Genesis”. That is, the disappeared “Amaterasu” sent a message to them out of a sudden. “Even this is an order from Lady Amaterasu, the burden is too heavy for me…” She had been asked to prepare the place of meeting between “Hexagonal Magus”, the Chief of Magi, and “Yggdrasil”, the CEO of “Genesis”. Not a single piece of information about the meeting, including its content, was told to her. The meeting was held suddenly and ended quickly, and its conclusion was sent to her. Now, the conclusion troubled her. “What should I do…” The latest task given to her was the awakening of “Minerva”, the “Goddess of War” and one of the Creation Goddesses who slumbered in the lowest block of “Genesis”. Several days after the meeting, Angelica was still burying her head in her hands. She lost her parents when she was young, and she was picked up by Amaterasu and received education that made her competent to become the administrator of Regalia. As a matter of fact, she knew the history of the planet more than anyone else. That is why she knew, the legend of Minerva and Minerva’s terrifying power. With an exhausted face that she would never show to her subordinates, she stretched her body and unlocked her doors. “Aaah…” In front of the opened doors was Hexagonal Magus, an important person involved in this incident. “Great Chief of Magi, it is a pleasure to meet you. My name is…” In response to Angelica who stood straight in a fluster, “You are Angelica, aren’t you? I have heard many tales of you from Lady Amaterasu.” The ruler of all Magi, with iris of tree-peony-colour, pointed her finger to Angelica with a gentle smile. “I come to talk with you, to inform you the correct situation of Cray”. In the brink of an eye, the gentle face of Hexagonal Magus became a serious one which was seen on screens, possibly due to the fearsome aura emitted by her servant standing behind her. “I come to describe the observation of Lady Amaterasu and the thing foreseen by me,” the Chief of Magi continued her speech, “to you, who was appointed to resurrect the Creation Goddess.” Hexagonal Magus’ gazes didn’t look away. Although she wanted to ease Angelica down with a calm tone, her speech sped up unexpectedly. But she tried her best to speak. “…this room wasn’t suitable for conversation. Let’s continue in another room...” “And that is why you are troubled.” “Mizuha” the Battle Maiden, enjoying her tea after meal, talked to the worrying Angelica. She is both a colleague of work and the best friend of Angelica. “…It can’t be helped, can it?” Hexagonal Magus told Angelica two things. One is the ferocity of “Link Joker”’s invasion. Another one is the fact that Hexagonal Magus has foreseen a tiny ray of hope in the desperate future. To unveil the identity of the hope, she sought formal support of prophecy from “Genesis”. “Aah. What can I do.” “The resurrection of the Goddess of War is the decision of both Lady Yggdrasil and Lady Amaterasu, you know.” “That is what troubles me.” To buy time for analyzing the prophecy, the resurrection of Minerva is essential and urgent. The combination of anxiety, suspicion and burden of responsibility made Angelica’s mental state worse. “Mizuha, you know? The magnitude and hazard of Minerva’s power.” “Of course. After all, your Sacred Regalia was originally the belonging of that Creation Goddess. Please don’t drag me into trouble with that.” Yes, the Sacred Regalia of Angelica was called “Glory Genesis”. It was the oldest Regalia, which was said to be owned by the Goddess of War. Because it didn’t exert its power without an owner, it was thought to be a mere iron rod before Angelica got it. “Please stop talking about that incident…” Nonetheless, Angelica had once lost the control of Glory Genesis and exposed not only herself but also her comrades to danger. After that incident, that sacred regalia hadn’t exerted its power any more. “…I don’t want to propose this.” “Do you have any good idea?” “You may remove the seal incompletely. By analyzing the seal of Minerva, you may be able to awaken her in an imperfect state intentionally.” According to the legends, Minerva feared that her power would wound the planet. Therefore, she put a powerful seal on herself and entered an eternal slumber. When Angelica, as a child, was taught about this tale for the first time, she could do nothing but to cry loudly. This is such a sad story. “Really, it is possible to reduce Minerva’s power with this method.” If Minerva can be awakened with a portion of her power sealed, the planet would not be harmed and Minerva can exist in this world again. “Of course, there are factors of uncertainty.” “About your return, isn’t it?” The method of removing the seal is a brand new one, derived from the experience of “Liberation War”. That is, to connect the mental world of the spell caster and the sealed individual, and analyze the spell directly inside the seal. However, there is a high risk. This method has a critical flaw that makes it an unpopular one. “…Yes. During the synchronization, if you received mental injuries too severe, your soul would be engulfed by Minerva’s soul.” It was impossible for Angelica to stay calm. Her bodies kept trembling. Angelica pressed her bodies with her arms so hard, as if she wanted to crush fear with her hands. And then, she closed her eyes. “In that case, I, as a Human, would stand no chance to remain inside Minerva. As a matter of fact, I would be purged if that happens.” Even Mizuha was able to understand the falseness of Angelica’s calmness; she could not stop her own body from trembling. “I know it is irresponsible to say something like this as the proposer of this plan. But I, no, I should say, all of us have faith that you, the one who is recognized by the Sacred Regalia of the Creation Goddess, can return.” Inside the magic circle was a mechanical chair on which Angelica sat. Outside the magical circle stood Angelica’s comrades, including Mizuha. “In fact, I feel bad for awakening her for joining the war, for she slept because she didn’t want to use her power.” Knitting her brows and taking a deep breath, Angelica continued her speech with a “but”, “She wanted to protect this planet. Cray was created by her and nurtured every one of us. I want to tell her that Cray is so good, after everything has been settled.” Before diving, she said, “I’m off. See you later!”, with a smile. Several weeks later, in the lowest block of “Genesis” Angelica sat on the mechanical pedestal composed of sophisticated apparatus inside the huge magic circle. Her feeble breaths implied that she was still alive. “Really, you can do something like this.” Beside Angelica a lady stood firmly. Her long, smooth blond hair was comparable to that of silk cloth. From her brimming aura of divinity, everyone can tell that she isn’t a human. “As might have been expected, I should say that you are my successor.” Her tone sounded whimsical, but it was intentionally tuned into this way. The evidence is that she patted Angelica’s head again and again, like a tactless parent did. “Thank you... Thanks to you, I can love this planet again.” As if she was satisfied, she walked a step away from Angelica and looked up to the ceiling. And then, her face, in contrast to the gentle one just before, was filled with serene anger. “The fools who dare to toy with my planet and my children,” She made a tight fist overhead, “until their bodies were returned to dusts,” And concluded her speech with the final sentence, “I shall destroy them.” Later, Angelica awakened. Her image of “The Goddess of War who hated battles” was completely shattered, and she couldn’t believe in any legend for a period of time. But that is another story.

She is "Angelica", with the title “Regalia of Wisdom”; she is the leader of the office. “Even though this is an order from Lady Amaterasu, the burden is too heavy for me…” She had been asked to prepare the place of meeting between “Hexagonal Magus”, the Chief of Magi, and “Yggdrasil”, the CEO of “Genesis”. Not a single piece of information about the meeting, including its content, was told to her. The meeting was held suddenly and ended quickly, and its conclusion was sent to her. Now, the conclusion troubled her. “What should I do…?” The latest task given to her was the awakening of “Minerva”, the “Goddess of War” and one of the Creation Goddesses who slumbered in the lowest block of “Genesis”. Several days after the meeting, Angelica was still burying her head in her hands. She lost her parents when she was young, and she was picked up by Amaterasu and received education that made her competent to become the administrator of Regalia. As a matter of fact, she knew the history of the planet more than anyone else. That is why she knew the legend of Minerva, and Minerva’s terrifying power. “I come to talk with you, to inform you the current situation of Cray”. Still, she tried her best to speak. “…this room isn’t suitable for conversation. Let’s continue in another room...” “And that is why you are troubled.” “Mizuha”, the Battle Maiden, enjoying her tea after meal, talked to the worrying Angelica. She is both a colleague and the best friend of Angelica. “…It can’t be helped, can it?” Hexagonal Magus told Angelica two things. One was the ferocity of “Link Joker’s invasion. The other was the fact that Hexagonal Magus has foreseen a tiny ray of hope in the desperate future. To unveil the identity of the hope, she sought formal support of prophecy from “Genesis”. “Aah. What can I do?” “The resurrection of the Goddess of War is the decision of both Lady Yggdrasil and Lady Amaterasu, you know.” “That is what troubles me.” To buy time for analyzing the prophecy, the resurrection of Minerva was essential and urgent. The combination of anxiety, suspicion and burden of responsibility made Angelica’s mental state worse. “Mizuha, you know the magnitude and hazard of Minerva’s power…” “Of course. “Please, don’t talk about that incident…” Nonetheless, Angelica had once lost the control of Glory Genesis and exposed not only herself but also her comrades to danger. After that incident, that Sacred Regalia hadn’t exerted its power any more. “…I don’t want to propose this.” “Do you have any good ideas?” “You could remove the seal incompletely. It was such a sad story. “Really, is it possible to reduce Minerva’s power with this method?” If Minerva could be awakened with a portion of her power sealed, the planet would not be harmed and Minerva could exist in this world again. “Of course, but, there are factors of uncertainty.” “About your return, aren't they?” The method of removing the seal is a brand new one, derived from experience of the “Liberation War”. That is, to connect the mental world of the spell caster and the sealed individual, and analyze the spell directly inside the seal. However, there is a high risk. This method has a critical flaw that makes it an unpopular one. “…Yes. During the synchronization, if I receive mental injuries too severe, my soul will be engulfed by Minerva’s soul.” It was impossible for Angelica to stay calm. Her body kept trembling. Angelica pressed herself with her arms so hard, as if she wanted to crush fear with her hands. Cray was created by her and she nurtured every one of us. I want to tell her that Cray is so good, after everything has been settled.” Before diving, she said, “I’m off. See you later!” with a smile. Several weeks later, in the lowest block of “Genesis” Angelica sat on the mechanical pedestal composed of sophisticated apparatus inside the huge magic circle. Her feeble breaths implied that she was still alive. “Really, you could do something like this?” Beside Angelica a lady stood firmly. Her long, smooth blond hair was comparable to that of silk cloth. From her brimming aura of divinity, everyone can tell that she isn't a human. “The fools who dare to toy with my planet and my children,” She made a tight fist overhead, “Until their bodies have been turned to dust,” And concluded her speech with the final sentence, “I shall destroy them.” Later, Angelica awakened. Her image of “The Goddess of War who hated battles” was completely shattered, and she couldn't believe in any legend for a period of time. But, that is another story.
Now I need me some good Yacchan lore :P
