As far as I can tell, it follows the same plot, just with some fixes in lore, new characters, and fancy new-age animation. This is exactly what I look for in sci-fi stuff. Missile and laser spam? Check Giant Spaceships exchanging projectiles? Check Kinda corny but still serious dialouge and script, with good and lovable characters? Check EXPLOSIONS?
