Legendary Scapegoats (traditional drawings)

Recommended Posts

This is a set drawings I've had for a while combining Yugioh's "Scapegoats" and "Stray Lambs" Tokens with a certain Asian Legend many people probably have heard of before.

I am yet to add Backgrounds to them, and still lack the Pink Sheep Token's form, which is going to be a legendary monster called "Gong Gong" that fights with the Yellow Dragon in the legend (because I can't leave a sheep behind). Actuallly [EDIT] After a little bit of research, the yellow dragon doesn't fight it, just repairs the sky Gonggong almost took down. Gonggong is killed by goddess Nuwa, the Yellow Dragon's wifu... I think the Pink sheep will be her on second thought[/EDIT]

Lastest update is Nuwa Goddess + Pink Goat:

... I dunno if it's necrobumping (I mean, it is on the front page and all) but I think these drawings are pretty great. I like them a lot.

Thanks Pika, glad you like them

and glad to have a comment :'D

I failed a little bit on the Yellow dragon after I read the tittle "hornless dragon" in it's descriptions.

Then again, these are Scapegoat crossings. Everyone's ought to have some kind of horns.

I hate that I forgot to +Rep this earlier.
Personally, I love how you organized these.
Especially the Turtle, on how you used very minimal bits of the Scapegoat itself, just to put emphasis on it's black shell, to which, makes the former somewhat of an accent and blends it in quite nicely.
Also, I like the red/pink going on with the Phoenix. Like, the one Scapegoat is more of a salmon color, but because you have the whole thing being mostly red with subtle pink, it still ends up being that salmony-red that the one Scapegoat still is.
But yea, all of these in general are pretty damn cool.

Thank you =D

The organization on the sig: Tormented decided who would be in front of who. Though I asked for the order in which they are positioned. I did not think it through when making them, just tried to have as many facing one way as the other way, save for the Center Yellow.

The turtle was the most fun to draw. Dragons and birds are more common, so as much as I also love doing those, the turtle was interesting xP

The peach Lamb getting the Black Turtle was a must. All other Goat/Lamb Tokens matched in colors particularly well.

It's a fusion monster
Assuming the Vermillion bird was, in fact, the red Scapegoat... This one will be the pink one, right?

Yes =D

Yellow Dragon = Orange Scapegoat

Pink Goddess = Pink Scapegoat

Azure Dragon = Blue Scapegoat

Vermilion Bird = Red Scapegoat

White Tiger = White Stray Lamb

Black Tortoise = Peach Stray Lamb

Those are all the Sheep Tokens when one does not include all other random colors from Token Thanksgiving.

People might ask, who is that last one?

The Goddess Nuwa was a sort of creator and also Yellow Dragon Fu Xi's wife. Fu Xi was the first emperor of mankind over there.

A monster called Gonggong broke the pillars of the sky, causing catastrophes like floods, fires, famine, etc in the process of the sky falling. So she killed the monster, and spent lots of time and effort into repairing it. The Yellow Dragon then is in charge of moving the sky around manually as well as covering up a hole the sky has (plot-twist, that must be the ozone hol*shot*).

After that the other 4 are the guardians of the sky, protecting the pillars that sustain it on all four coordinates.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell.
