Before anything else:

Template's credit goes to Zextra.

Zextra, I can't thank you enough for this.

DARK Level 9 [Spellcaster / Pendulum / Efect]

ATK/ 200    DEF/ 100       Scales: <7      13>

Spell Effect:

While on the right Scale, the other Pendulum must be Scale 8 or higher. You can only Pendulum Summon up to 1 monster from your hand and 1 from your Extra Deck. Instead of Pendulum Summoning: You can add 1 monster from your Deck to your hand, with a Level in-between both your Pendulum Cards' Scales.

Monster Effect:

Can be Normal Summoned/Set with no Tributes. When Pendulum Summoned: You can have this card's ATK become 3000, until the End Phase. If you do, Battle Damage from battles involving this card is halved, and this card is banished when it leaves the field.

LIGHT Level 9 [Fairy / Pendulum / Efect]

ATK/ 100   DEF/ 200    Scales: 8<   >10

Spell Effect:

While on the right Scale, the other Pendulum must be Scale 8 or higher. Once per turn, before you Pendulum Summon: You can target 1 monster in your Graveyard with a Level in-between both your Pendulum Cards' Scales. This turn, if you can Pendulum Summon it from the Graveyard in Defense Position.

Monster Effect:

Can be Normal Summoned/Set with no Tributes. When Pendulum Summoned: It's DEF becomes 3000, and your opponent cannot target monsters for attacks, except "Fortune Scale Fairy".

How do they work?

If you want a Level 8-9 Pendulum Summon, Witch goes on the left and Fairy on the right.

If you want a Level 9+ Pendulum Summon, Fairy goes on the left and Witch on the right.

They allow for high-Level Summons that the Chronomancy/Astromancy Magician duo can't make, but only pretty much the ones they can't make. You either go high or low here.

You can't mass-Pendulum Summon from the hand or from the Extra Deck like you normally would after enough setup, but you can get a search OR make up the lack of "OMGSwarm!" with one from the Graveyard.

On themselves, they can pendulum Summon copies of themselves, and Fairy recovers the ones that might miss out on going to the Extra Deck after those Rank 9s.

Witch's effect is meant to be able to search otherwise unsearchable cards like Uria, Obelisk, etc, in exchange for a turn without your previous Pendulums.

Thoughts?

EDIT:
There's also that Fairy is a cheap wall from the Extra Deck, and I have to say, she is supposed to banish when she leaves the field after she gets that effect... I just messed up really bad right here and forgot to add that clause.

Oh come on people =0

There's a little more work on these cards than usual, being a new mechanic and all.

I even explain how they are used for the ones that don't have confidence on how the mechanic works.

I usually let my threads die if they didn't get popular enough, but I ask for at least one comment here. Then I'll be happy D=

Pretty please?...

Both art are quite similar, giving me the feel that they are coming from the same archetype (compliment). OP or not, I am not sure, because I sucks at theorycrafting. And if these cards are real, I would put witch left fairy right in my fairy deck, and keep on searching for 8 star fairy (especially my fav. fairy, kristya) and summon them or use them as to feed trade-in.

Out topic: I am not sure how Pendulum works, but can the player switch or move the pendulum monster while it is face-up on the pendulum zone? And thanks for auto saved content, I accidentally quit the browser lol.

Admittedly, there's one thing that's NOT necessarily gonna be a thing when Pendulum's are released:
I'm assuming the left Scale is always the lower one and the right one always the high one, and that might not even matter in the IRL mechanic once it gets released, but I thought it would be interesting xP

As for how they work. Well, in your Fairy Deck, that's exactly how they would work =D
You can use Witch's effect to search a Level 8 Fairy on a turn OR

You Pendulum Summon, which in your deck's case would be "Special Summon all my Level 8 Fairy-Type monster I want from my hand"

That would be how the mechanic normally works, but due to the searching effect already giving you a push, Witch's effect is gonna restrict you to no more than 1 at a time, but that's part of the Witch's effect, the mechanic itself can let you usually mass-Summon (until we are told otherwise then the official rulings are released)

Don't worry about the "from the Extra Deck" clause, for the sake of understanding the mechanic, that is an action that only other Pendulum Monsters can do. As for the other normal cards, you do it from the hand. Period.

Thank you for this comment.

  • 1 year later...

OK seriously, when are we going to get Pendulum templates on this site, I have an awesome ideas for Pendulum Cards that I just need to let out DAMN IT!!!!

Whenever YCMaker gets over here and adds them.

If you're that impatient, go use the TCGEditor or Zextra's template in Showcase Tutorials.

(Or just use Written if you can't wait that long)

Anyway, check the last post date before making posts in necrobumped threads.

Thread's been dead for nearly 2 years.

(If thread has no replies for 2 or more weeks, don't post)
