Spring 2014 Anime

Recommended Posts

Isshuukan Friends. - That's one of the saddest things I've read (the summary, I didn't read the manga, but I should because there's only 10 chapters so this will be a horrible adaption) and I don't want to watch it before I know if there's a happy ending. But I will.

I actually read it and it is worthwhile. Not sure how an anime would do for it though.

Probably overloading myself but I think I'll be watching:

Akuma no Riddle: Cause the art looks gorgeous, and I've never watched a yuri, only yaoi so I want to see how the other side does things

Atelier Escha & Logy: I love anything with alchemy so its worth a look

Black Bullet: Seems interesting enough

Date a Live 2: Don't care how much you look down on me I loved the first season so I'm watching the second

Gokukkoku no Brynhildr: Reminds of Future diary crossed with 11eyes and Elfen Lied

Hitsugi no Chiaka: seems interesting enough

Ledure deorum: reverse harem with sexy bishies I'm so there

No Game No Life: seems interesting enough

Seikoku no Dragnar: Usually I don't bother with eicchi since its not really my thing, but it seems to have an okay plot so unless it gets to ahh... steamy... I'll watch it

Selector Infected: Reminds me of Doubt

Sidonia no Kishi: Reminds of Attack on Titan

Soul Eater Not!: Like the manga, so I'll give the anime a go

Arc-V: just gonna wait for the English dub

I will also be riding this Jojo bandwagon, probably going to be my favorite of the season.

I didn't realize Fairy Tail was being rebooted, so I guess I'll watch that. I reread it recently too, so it's all fresh and nice on the mind.

I'll give Haikyuu a whirl, maybe Isshukan Friends and Mahouka, and maaaaybe Arc V.

I need to watch Mushishi first before starting the 2nd season.

I'll agree with that point, because if my memory serves me right there isn't really a decent place to end an anime.

I didn't know it was a 4-koma. A lot of 4-koma turned into anime end without a decent place to end it. But there's also the point that 4-koma that get anime usually have a little more chapters. But then there's also the fact that maybe it matters more how long those chapters are. After reading the beginning/chapter 0/prologue and chapter 1, and seeing that they're longer than most 4-koma, I think maybe it will be a good anime (though this is assuming all chapters are this long).

Seikoku no Dragnar: Usually I don't bother with eicchi since its not really my thing, but it seems to have an okay plot so unless it gets to ahh... steamy... I'll watch it

I got volume 1 of the manga because the premise is interesting and I knew it was ecchi, but I don't mind ecchi. I've only read 2 chapters so far, but I can tell you if it stays relatively the same as the manga, it will get too steamy (right away I might add). Though if it's possible, I would also kind of prefer the anime to have the same premise without as much of that stuff.

I haven't looked into the new season up until now, but using that image, the anime that interest me aaaare...

Akuma no Riddle (Obviously because shoujo-ai is the truest form of love)

Date a Live (It's not that great, but I saw the first season, so I'm going to continue the second)

Gokukoku no Brynhildr (This sort of inspirational, emotional story always seems to intrigue me highly)

Ishuukan Friends (Also seems like it could be pretty interesting)

JoJo (It's pretty much a given that anybody who wants good anime is watching JoJo)

Selector Infected WIXOSS (I'm generally interested in psychologically-driven stories, which this is stated to be)

It's just a preliminary list, but I'll use it as a basis for when I see all the openings of the season. I only do make my verdict not only after reading their "abstracts," but seeing their openings. Fortunately, they are very often compiled in single videos.

I suppose that means we are close to the end of Gundam since there's no announcement in there.

Well, I'll be giving Arc V a chance since I'm still into the game, but leaving that aside.

I wanna try the Keroro one. It's one of the first mangas I ever read along Yuyu Hakusho, Shaman King, and Azumanga Daioh. So it has a special place to me. Though the original anime was childish.... I hope that tone changes a little even though I don't think it will.

Other than that I'll look at the list for some sort of melancholic story or something that's either school life or Hayao Miyazaki-like.

EDIT:

@Link
Arc V's Premiere date is definitely NOT Jan 1st 1970.....

I miss the days where Anime was actually good. and not 80% filler. Looking at you Bleach/Naruto >.>

Why are you looking at Bleach/Naruto?

But-why-meme-generator-but-why-84103d.jp

Looked over and was discussing the list with my friend today and I'm actually going to at least take a look at a bunch of the stuff here.

 • Atelier - cool, alchemy
 • Captain Earth - Bones is good, but doesn't actually look that great, my fingers are crossed
 • Isshuukan Friends - this one sounds really nice and sweet
 • Mangaka-san - looks pretty funny/amusing
 • Mekaku City Actors - interesting enough
 • No Game No Life - looks really interesting/amusing
 • Soul Eater NOT - I'll give it a try...
 • Mahouka - manga was good.

He's also trying to persuade me to finish Mushishi quickly so I can watch the second season. I'm surprised, does no one like Mushishi here?

I wish more people saw interesting anime as a reason to read the manga. So little times does the anime capture the magnificence of a series....and if it does it cuts it off at the best arc.

I'm looking at you Medaka-chan.

Anyy who I'll probably just be giving random ones on the list a shot cuz why not?

I noticed, but I used the link anyway because it's the most accurate I can find in terms of what's actually going to be airing.

I gave it another look and I'll post a couple lists of everything that's possible for me to try.
Black Bullet
Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou
Date A Live 2nd Season
Fairy Tail (2014)
Happiness Charge Precure
Isshuukan Friends.
Jojo (I'm really turned off by the explicit supernaturalness in the descriptions of all Jojo anime. Maybe there will be too much of that for me, but I will try it anyway, because Mami said I should. He also said it seems like there won't be anything major from any previous Jojo (I heard there was some old guy), so it'll be okay to start with this one.)
Love Live! School Idol Project 2nd Season
Mekaku City Actors
No Game No Life
Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V

Akuma no Riddle

Captain Earth
Futsuu no Joshikousei ga [Locodol] Yatte Mita.
Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?

Gokukoku no Brynhildr

Hitsugi no Chaika
Kanojo ga Flag wo Oraretara

Kiniro no Corda: Blue♪Sky
Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei
Sadon Desu
Seikoku no Dragonar
Selector Infected WIXOSS
Soul Eater Not!
There's someone I know from another site that I regard as knowing Romance and Slice-of-Life anime well, so if I hear I might like something from my might watch list is good, I'll definitely watch it. Anything that isn't one of those genres I'll be more hesitant to try, but if anyone here thinks they're good, I might.

• Black Bullet - On the fence. Think I'll wait to see the responses to this one.
• Gokukoku no Brynhildr - Seems interesting, though the fact that it's by Studio Arms has be suspicious.
• Break Blade - Meant to watch the movies, but this seems like a good alternative.
• Captain Earth - Please don't be as disappointing as Star Driver.
• Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V - Yes, please.
• Mekaku City Actors - Maybe. I think I'll- Wait, Shaft? Nevermind, I'm out.
• Disk Wars: Avengers - Just to see how this turns out.
• Kenzen Robo Daimadler - Only because of the penguins, but then again, I don't like that penguins are the villains, nor am I fond of the designs.
• Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei - …Maybe.
• Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii - If only for the setting.

Question when spring anime starts april???????

Depends on the show.

So I should update my overall list past Haikyuu!! since I may have missed a few things (or they were added after)...

Wanna watch:
Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky - Assuming the animation style is anything like that promo picture.
Break Blade maybe
Haikyuu!! YEAH SPORTS ANIME
Sidonia no Kishi If I get through everything else

There's no way they can keep up that quality of art. The promo picture is just the actual game's cover.

Oh, also forgot to ask: Which of the anime here are originals and not adaptions?

Oh, also forgot to ask: Which of the anime here are originals and not adaptions?

Captain Earth

Fuun Ishin Dai Shogun

Happiness Charge Precure (the concept isn't original, but it' the newest Precure, which I believe is only an anime only thing)

Mahou Shoujo Taisen

Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers

Selector Infected WIXOSS

Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V (there will probably be a manga, but I'm not sure Yu-Gi-Oh! manga are that relevant to the anime. If you want to be sure, you can ask someone that reads them)

Take your pick. :D

The manga is worlds apart from the anime, almost every time. 5D's made Luna and Leo creepy as hell, made everyone else dark jerks, and Zexal actually was kinda cool. I haven't read the others xD

Cover art for whatever that is looks dope as f***.

http://anilist.co/anime/20457

That sounds interesting enough.

So yeah, probably those two. 90% of that list looks horrendously boring

>Jojo

>boring in any sense of the word

Unless it fits into that 10% of not horrendously boring things in which case I mostly agree.
