Aix
Just watched episode 1 of Date A Live and it was... painful, just painful the amount of cliche they managed to shove into the first episode. I told my friend I was watching it and he said if I do, he would watch some other terrible show, so I will continue but... god... help me... There's also a bunch of things that they don't even try to have make sense, but hopefully that clears up in later episodes? Discuss stuff that you really couldn't stand watching. Contradicting, right? I can't watch things with a lot of singing or cussing. It irritates me. I also don't like watching things where the main character is just STUPID....ALL THE TIME. Things mental people can grasp still elude him/her. Ugh. No really, the show is great IMO. I love it to death. Cliche? Will people stop using this word, PLEASE. ALL ANIME IS A CLICHE, ESPECIALLY WHEN GOING BY GENRE. Some shows just use more of the tropes in it. Geez I hate the word Cliche, sorry.
Maeriberii Haan
Can't stand too much fanservice, except two. Can't stand painfully constructed love relationship. Can't stand most harem anime. Can't stand too much dirty jokes. Can't stand cliche storms if I'm watching something seriously.
goddamnit names are a pain
Can't stand too much fanservice, except two. No such thing *shot* Can't stand painfully constructed love relationship. Love is not easy, baka. Can't stand most harem anime. Go away right now. Can't stand too much dirty jokes. I haven't actually seen many yet. =D Can't stand cliche storms if I'm watching something seriously. Cliches usually take place in non-serious anime. Also, I don't like excessive violence, gore, and "darkness." The psychopaths, the homicidal, the ones with all the blood, the ones with all the best characters dying a BS death. Just no. OH And Twerking. God I hate twerking.
Toffee.
Discuss stuff that you really couldn't stand watching.Out of curiosity, why post this in Anime/Manga?Can't stand too much fanservice-This.Although, it depends on the series, and what kind it is.Gundam Build Fighters, for example, is mostly, if not, pure fanservice to Gundam fans. But this is a good thing, because the series is, basically, a giant commercial(Which is rather different for a Gundam series), so of course they will showcase various machines/perks/reference to older series. Now on the other hand, in a lot of other shows, it gets outright obnoxious when [Side-character A]'s skimpy outfit is the center of attention, and everyone just stares at her cleavage all day. I find this to be an excuse for a lack of legitimate writing and/or actual story advancement. Look, I understand why such series do this, but come on... It's just desperation. Shradow
I just don't like horror, or certain sexual things (for instance, my friends watched some of Kissxsis on a friend's suggestion, I wasn't there for it, but some of the things they mentioned that they saw did not sound pleasing). Cliche is just something that feels copy-pasted and comes straight out of a cookie-cutter mold, it is often also overdone. Basically, a trope that has no spin put on it. Let's take tsunderes for example, Taiga Aisaka is a cliched tsundere as cute as she is, but Senjougahara is not. Out of curiosity, why post this in Anime/Manga? It's my main entertainment medium that's why :

I think he posted in Anime/Manga cause he wants us to talk about things we couldn't stand watching it anime As for my own opinion, I hate when things just get too over the top, which is why I struggle at times with Kill La Kill, and I can't even stand Dragon Ball. Also I can't stand dubs butcher the original Japanese (I can understand when something just doesn't translate well into English such as Yuma's Katoubingou <- I think that's how you spell it, but when its something blatant (this happens alot with 4Kids) it just pisses me off). Or when things had meaning in the sub, but totally lose it in the dub.
Night
Basically anything blatantly Japanese. Cat eared girls and generally anything random that would be categorized as not made for a western audience. It irks me greatly when females are degraded to being used as love interests and offer nothing else to the story. Not a feminist by any stretch of the imagination, I just feel as if characters shouldn't lack depth just to appease such a trivial aspect of plot that isn't even needed. Agreed with the first point, especially if it has no actual reason to be there, And really agreed with the second point. There's too much potentially interesting characters wasted because of they ended up being a love interest. @TGM, Yes, love is not easy. That's is pretty much my main reason why I hate painfully plot-made artificial love relationship, especially if it involves a main character. @Armz, Well, I do mean sexual fanservices. Or when things had meaning in the sub, but totally lose it in the dub.But this depends on who dubs it, with regards to the channel's demographic.4Kids makes it "kid friendly" and adds a bunch of 1-liners that were never present in the original ones, as well as re-writes a lot of the dialogue as well as cut out/edit the more violent scenes.Compare this to stuff from Funimation, which basically just removes the more serious swearing and/or actual offensive dialogue, and leaves the rest of it in-tact.Like, here's an example of what I'm getting at-Watch from 11:29 to 12:34, and then 16:01 to 17:15:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N83g781xh80And then watch this, Kai, which is shown on Nick:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SimdMab-LF4The former is the dub we all know and love. The later is on the same station that shows Spongebob. It's also why Kai has a Blue Mr.Popo.
The Warden
One thing that irked me was the second half of Bobobo. The show was funny and entertaining for the first half, but then it just grew incredibly irritating that Bobobo just kept beating everyone with no actual effort. And then the fact that him, Jelly Jiggler (I loved you man) and Don all just acted like retards with no grasp on reality, well, that gets old and tedious real quick when that's your only defining character trait. Tentacruel
Black Butler S2 was painful. I made it through though. I completely avoid "fanservice" shows like Queen's Blade and other garbage like that. A lot of that stuff is outright appalling.

XD Date a Live's POINT IS TO BE CLICHE If you don't WANT CLICHE DON'T WATCH IT Literally, the guy is FORCED to GO ON DATES....WHEN HE HAS HAD NONE. The voting system is dang hilarious and the plot gets a lot better, but the whole godang point IS TO BE CLICHE. THAT is why it is so dang hilarious. I honestly don't see how it is copy and paste when I can't name a show past TWGOK that has FORCED the character to be cliche. That is the spin. Hence, cliche is invalid. Can you see why I hate the term so dang much?

goddamnit names are a pain
Is it fanservice when the whole thing is porn and nudity? DXD is not fanservice, for example. The point of the show is nudity and amazingness. Hence, it is not fanservice. Fanservice would be if they had sex *shot*

Shradow
Black Butler S2 was painful. I made it through though. I completely ignored II and just read the manga, which is freaking great, btw. Never did I think I would enjoy a game of cricket so much, and I even reread those chapters multiple times. mitchermitcher
When anime takes itself too seriously to the point where it's dumb(Guilty Crown, for example), or becomes way, way, way too self-aware(Kitakabu so far is the only one that gave me that feel), or when it tries to become so grand, original, and unique that it's just downright boring to watch(Kill la Kill, most of the time), can't stand them. As for things I can't stand at all but don't think is bad, anything horror. I don't like horror by default, I get scared too easily, so yeh, guess horror counts, although not in the same way the first three points counts. Sunn O)))
I can't stand anime that is purely based on comedy, romance, harem, and stuff like that. Also can't stand anime that is too edgy. Only watch things with action or with interesting plots.
Just Crouton
Battle anime, pretty much. They tend to be god awful boring and pointlessly dragged out. I only watched Yugioh for the cards (and the cards aren't even worth it anymore seeing that they're just "Numbers" with bland character designs that look even more uninspiring in Zexal's bad CGI) and read Bleach to make fun of it. Cin
I tend to have a thing against animes with a mainly female cast (with the exception of Rozen Maiden) annoying that's what my friends on another forum used to keep recommending for me.
