Eh, having a grasp on melody lends to one being a good singer.

The two are basically unrelated. I guess that if you have a grasp on melody, you're more likely to sing in tune, but any musician has that ability (or should) anyway.

I mean, there's a hell load of really good musicians who were just average singers. Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger are two that pop to mind. Then there are really good singers who couldn't write music to save their life, in equal proportions.

Let me rephrase that.  Having a grasp on melody lends to one singing well.

Actually you know what forget that.  I was just throwing words around.  He is a decent singer as having a sense melody really doesn't mean you can sing.  I have a grasp on melody but I can't sing.

He is definitely a good musician though.  Like he may not be a naturally fantastic singer but you get the idea that he knows how to sing.

Depends what we mean by 'well'. In the technical sense, probably. Knowing melody is probably one of the most important things for a singer to have to sing in tune, and to sing with good timing. But there is a lot of other stuff that makes up a singer's ability far, far more. Knowing melody does basically to the tone of your voice, or your breathing phrasing, and other techniques.

Pharrell certainly can sing. But the tone of his voice and general attractiveness of his voice is nothing special.

I LOVE PHARRELL. Ever since N.E.R.D. Extremely talented, features with every artist ever, and produces greatness.

He made a 24 hour video because he could. The song is good, but making a 24 hour video was just something he felt like doing.

ALSO HE'S 40 AND NEVER AGES DUDE LOOKS LIKE HES 25
