Blake
Wow there were a lot of things wrong with this episode. That D/D/D Fusion is ridiculous. You bounce back a face-up spell to snatch steal and promptly armory arm and opponent's monster during their turn. AND IT HAS 3200 ATK. Unban Snatch Steal again cuz it pales in comparison.Pretty sure Yuya's card said "Your opponent cannot activate Cards or Effects until the end phase," so how the fuck did Reji use his Xyz monster's effect? Unless that card said currently on the field, in which case Yuya is a freaking idiot for not waiting til either the damage step or til after Reji made something. That topdeck with Shuffle Reborn was Zexal Levels of stupid. Whatever. I'm used to it by now.Pretty sure Odd-eyes Rebellion can nuke the field and burn for 1000. Reji had nothing to sop that. So you know......that would have been game.....The only out I can think of is if Shuffle Reborn negates all monster effects til you end phase, in which case that card actually isn't that great at all.Lol Reji way to blatantly cheat. Trap cards must wait a turn before they can be activated when set, even during the opponent's turn. I don't care what plot armor you have that was bullshit. I don't care if you tell me that your card says "they can be activated the turn they are set" that is bullshit. The bullshit Xyz effect was chained, and then chained again somehow and resolved itself within it's own chain, allowing the set traps to be activated as chain link 2 by interjecting the chain. What? Are you serious? Those traps were bullshit too. I thought we were done with one-in-a-million situational trap cards. Plus I'm pretty sure that covenant card cant even freaking activate. Wings would resolve in the banished zone. The only way that trap would work is by directly chaining it in response, and it wasn't. The bullshit Xyz effect was chained, and then chained again somehow and resolved itself within it's own chain, as I stated.Did I say that D/D/D Xyz was stupid already? Cuz it is. It's a 3500 beater with the most situational effect on the planet. Why?The rant is now over. You will find exits on your left and right as you make your way out of your carts and to the front of the ride. Have a fun rest of the day!Almost everything here is you not paying attention or overreacting. 1. No? I mean, it's only when talking targeted for an attack, and only gets another monster than the attacker. Quit overreacting. 2. The xyz had a clause to not have its effects negated. In anime terms, this also means activation cantbe stopped, either. 3. Shuffle Reborn isn't that bad. It's Avery legitimate card, as opposed to ZeXalp lot devices, and the comeback fits yuya. 4. Already covered. 5. Implying the anime hasn't had cards that reset traps live before. 6. No. It was not chained to itself. You can do multiple actions before an attack finishes, and you can make actions on the tail of an action. 7. The traps were dumb, sure. Copying and negating a lingering effect was terrible. 8. I mean, it's not situational. It's a heavy storm on legs, that can't be negated and replaced what you blow up. Strong, not situational.
Progenitor
So pretty much my entire rant is solved by looking at the actual wording of the monsters instead of just going off what they said in the show. Also never said Shuffle Reborn was bad. I said the topdeck was stupid. This hasn't really been Zexal for awhile. It caught me off guard when I realized that was how the writers were gonna plotdevice their way to victory. I came to expect that from Zexal, and so it was fun seeing how stupidly they could pull off the win. Anyway. Yeah the fusion is alot weaker than I thought. Still pretty freaking strong, but I thought it was just a generic quick effect that could steal anything at any time. Reading the official wording for the Xyz, I can't believe that there is actually a way to make it's effect work as 1 chain link. Also that's broken as hell, but thats a story for the actual card thread. Completely forgot Odd-eyes has level restrictions for it's effects in the show. Pchi
Because Reiji purposely omitted that fact to gauge Yuya's emotions into how well he'd duel. Reiji's ultimate goal was to recruit Yuya into the Lancers because he was the first one to wield Pendulums. Reiji also analyzed the immense amount of evolution that has occurred with Yuya when Yuya used Pendulum Fusion and Pendulum Xyz, notably by his bonds with Yuzu and Yuto, who both had major resolve. I believe Reiji wanted to have Yuya demonstrate all his might from what he learned from bonding to carry on those wishes, in order to save potential future victims by joining the Lancers. So pretty much it was a test to see if Yuya can overcome Yuzu's death and take in strength. But we all know that Reiji knew everything that happened. Yuya's loss was in part due to becoming to caught up in his emotions and being unable to win against Reiji. Though Yuya didn't want him and his friends feel like puppets, it's a big turning point for Yuya to realize he can't beat Reiji because Reiji was more prepared with more outs against Yuya while Yuya's demands for repentance were truly shallow. In short, it was all a test by Reiji to see if Yuya was going to be a mature and powerful Lancer, yet Yuya was too traumatized by rage and trauma and EGAO that he misinterpreted Reiji's proposal and fought under blind justice. Actually, until Reiji asked if Yuya wished to save Yuzu, Tomato-Head feared she might've been carded, but Reiji outright lied to him about her being taken by Academia, when in fact she disappeared along with Yugo, whom he knows not to be a Fusion Agent. Shiny Ankles expected to convince Yuya to join him as a Lancer in order to rescue her.
mshends
http://livedoor.blogimg.jp/maxut/imgs/5/7/57cc93e7.jpg http://livedoor.blogimg.jp/maxut/imgs/f/7/f75d1bc2.jpg http://livedoor.blogimg.jp/maxut/imgs/f/7/f74460f7.jpg - Yuya and co. travel to the Synchro Dimension to form alliances with them. - Crow takes care of 3 kids. - JACK ATLAS comes from a certain place called a "facility" and is still King in Synchro Dimension. - Yuzu and Hugo in a tag-team duel against the Duel Chaser. - The scan mentions that this duel would be Yuzu's "FIRST'' RIDING DUEL". - Duel Chaser goes after Hugo because he refuses to follow laws. (thank MasterGhost in NAC for this info!)
Yellow Jacket
Figures Jack would be king. But wouldn't he need to beat Yusei? Speaking of Yusei, where the hell is he?

Flash Flyer - Sakura
CUTE GIRLS ON MOTERCYCLES! But really, this will be awesome. I suppose Aki or Ruka don't count in this one; well iffy on the former (she probably had sex appeal instead), but eeh. Speaking of which, where the hell are Ruka and her twin? (I'd probably guess they're in college at this point, or in Rua's case, being on the pro circuit) As for the other stuff, Jack being from a Facility probably ties into his manga origins (I cbb to remember its name though) and Crow's one makes sense. Duel Chaser looks like a Security officer, so probably going to be similar to Yusei v Trudge at the beginning of 5Ds. This will be good.
Fusion X. Denver
"There's this theory that the dimensions were caused by fundamental moments in each series. Basically, Standard was if Atem won the duel at the end, and because they were under his protection, no changes were needed and they discovered the other [summoning] ways later, but weren't necessarily able to become as strong as the others. Fusion is if Yubel/Supreme King took over Jaden, which overall changed Academia and the world to take up the conquest-type mentality. They also saw Fusion as the supreme Summon since they never moved from it. Synchro is if everything went as it did in DM, GX, and 5D's. Neo Domino City with the characters from it, Synchro is the central Summon type. Riding duels everywhere, and because of their advancement they didn't need to interact with the others. Xyz is if the dystopian future in 5D's happened (ZONE's lifetime), which forced them to look to other Summoning types, eventually leading to Xyz."
I think that'd be cool. It'd make all of the series feel more cohesive together.
Yellow Jacket
You know a thought occurred to me. Do you think Jack and Crow will duel in Arc V or not. And if they do duel, who would they verse? I wanna see Crow vs Shun and Jack vs Declan!

~British Soul~
Finally got around to watching the subs (been busy like all week)
- Given the current situation of the duel, I think Reiji was smart not to tell Yuya what actually happened to Yuzu. - That being said though as the duel went on, he implied that as long as Yuzu was fine, whatever happened to Yuya's cardified comrades didn't matter (Yes I'm still using "cardified", sue me) - Before Yuya mentioned Yuto, Reiji thought that at the time, it didn't matter whose bonds with Yuya gave birth to his Pendulum Xyz as he'd find out soon enough.

- Jack being king again in the Synchro dimension?! Yeah, why am I not surprised... (Especially after the events of the 5Ds finale) - Jack coming from a certain place called "Facility", I remember he was involved with a "Facility" in the manga, the VSSL if I recall. - Crow taking care of 3 kids? I know he looked after a handful of them at his hideout, so it doesn't look like that role will change. - The Duel Chasers definitely resemble Sector Security, albeit with a few minor design differences but still make them associated with Sector Security. - I also get the feeling that Yuto's duel with the Duel Chasers will be similar to Yusei's duel with Trudge in episode 1 of 5Ds. - Yugo not following laws? What a rebel, though it doesn't surprise me tbh.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Yeah, I didn't have time to note stuff on 51 subs. Will do that now.
Even Reiji's mother is objecting to how her son is handling this; provoking Yuya to this extent just to make him join. Smooth move, Reiji. Reiji mentions that Yuzu is alive, and he knew that since 47. Then again, he asks about the bonds that led Yuya to obtain Pendulum Xyz; which Yuto is the answer. Subs reveal that Kali Yuga can activate set cards on the turn it blows up stuff; if Reiji were the actual antagonist instead of his father, that much would be plausible. Yuya's called naive because he couldn't control his anger. (Let's look at the other YGO protagonists, save for Yusei, all of them had some degree of anger problems.) At the end, Yuya's cursing himself to become better if he wants to save Yuzu. Otherwise, a lot of RAW thoughts still hold.
~British Soul~
Le RAW: http://www.anime4you.net/watch/yu-gi-oh-arc-v-episode-52.html Very true. I hope we see a Pendulum Resonator. Hallohallo
*The Championship has ended and the victors were announced. People weren't happy to see Sawatari, since he was eliminated from the championship when he lost against Yuya. *Reiji's mom announced about Lancers and their mission. Also, showed Carl getting carded, future-Lancers defeating Obelisk Force and of course Yuya vs Sora rematch. *Of course I already saw it coming. Shuzo got sad/mad about Yuzu being "kidnapped". Yuya promised to save her. *Yuya vs Yoko begins! Featuring Egao flashbacks, ridiculous biker monster effect and Smile World! So much dialogue that I don't know what to write anymore. ~British Soul~
Great...thank you very much No prob.
- The episode started off with a celebration of the winners/top 8 (most likely the latter, will need subs to clarify) even though Sawatari was defeated by Yuya and Mieru had no right even being there since she wasn't even part of the battle royale anyway. - Needless to say, the crowd weren't happy seeing Sawatari there - The Maiami Championships looked to be broadcast all over the world seeing as Himika's message was shown to be broadcast in places like New York, London, Paris, Moscow and Singapore. - She confirmed the existence of people from alt universes and showed footage of everyone being cardified and the eventual lancers defeating the Obelisk Force - The cardification freaked everyone out though - That being said the crowd quickly sent their well wishes for the lancers after their mission was revealed. - As expected, Shuzo was made/sad about Yuzu being kidnapped. Though Yuya promised to save her. - Prior to this, Serena changed back to her usual outfit giving Yuzu's back to Yuya - We learn about Youko's past and her involvement with the "Maiami Queens" Will need subs to clarify things as it was mainly a talky episode. Βyakuya
My god, the EGAO levels are higher than normal. Actually it's insane...
So it appears Himika Akaba has announced of the invasion of Academia and the true reasoning of the Battle Royale and the Lancers. It's a fair move on their part, considering if the Academia ever attacks again, instead of averting suspicion to LDS, instead they made this a very important international issue that brings upon the incomprehensible fact of multiple dimensions. Yet somehow after showing that and people getting carded, the crowd sure was very quick to change from scared/confused to pro-Lancers pretty quickly. Yoko is a damn badass mother. It's unclear to us what her motives are to reveal her past, but the fact that she was a bosozoku, dang that's amazing. Yet if I were Yuya, I'd be pretty damn beyond befuddled. Also Serena gets another pair of her main outfit after taking off Yuzu's. Did she allow Reiji to do her a soldi and steal another from the Fusion Dimension?
