Yugo had a flashback?

I'm currently operating on the assumption that the different dimensions are alternate versons of the respective series, if not outright future changes. Heartland could very well have been Zexal's Heartland. Easily. Not enough known about Synchro, but the 5Ds world had a LOT of explicit time shenanigans with Z-ONE/Yliaster screwing with events with the intent to destroy Neo Domino City. There could easily be a branched future there. I assume future because Yugo's D-Wheel seems more advanced in terms of Disk.

Fusion Dimension seems to be outright a future version or AU version of Duel Academy, what with Ancient Gears and Academia, etc. And fusing dimensions.

But by relation, the Fusion Dimension, if it is the future Duel Academy is also the same dimension as the original Yugioh in that case. Hm.....

Not exactly Yugo, but I remember that in the episode where he (or Yuto. Been some time since I saw it so I don't remember) explained the existence of the dimensions, when he mentions Synchro dimension, an image of Jack appears.

Ah, that would have been Yuto. Yugo hasn't done any sort of exposition whatsoever.

That's why I suspect they're alternate versions, because DM, GX, and 5Ds are in the same timeline. Zexal alluded to it, but was so vague as to also be completely separate. The Fusion dimension also seems to be more Fusion-extreme than GX's universe. While almost every powerful Duelist did tend to use Fusion at some point, Fusion itself wasn't as ridiculously highly regarded as Academia seems to consider it. 5Ds used Fusion sparingly, but it did exist and was treated as fine, and the Synchro dimension, I would tentatively assume uses Synchros as extremely as the Fusion Dimension uses Fusion.

Watched this week's episode, and this is the first time since the Dark Signers arc that I'm hyped to see the next episode.

Previously, I jokingly suggested that this was a war of summoning mechanics was a war between fanbases of the individual series. Now, the Fusion dimension and their war on Synchros and Xyzs is starting to remind me of how people complained about Yugioh being RUINED FOREVER because of 5D's and Synchros, and are taking their retro fanboyism to the extreme.

It would be hilarious if there was a Tribute Summon dimension that wants to get rid of every other summoning mechanic for "devaluing" tribute summons.
Few things I notice in this episode

-On 24/03/13..the zexal ep 96 was aired, on 22/04/15 Arc V episode 48 was aired, showing off a monster call Twilight Ninja - Shingetsu..
-The Legendary Fisherman III shares the same ATK and DEF as of the other main characters' Ace Monsters, which is really wierd? I mean while Dennis' ace monster also has 2500/2000, but he is going to become a very important character to the show..Teppi on the other hand is not...
-Dennis pointing out the hidden cameras part is really weird, shouldn't Reiji put hidden cameras everything!?
-Michio, you shoudn't had uses your Royal Cookmate's effects stright away..
My guess is Yugo is the son of Yusei and Aki.

We can only guess, but that implies that the two of them married after 5Ds 154.

Last time I checked, Aki was going to Germany for medical school or something like that.

(Then again, there were fan theories that Jaden/Jessie gave birth to Rua/Ruka, but those were never confirmed.)

She did promise to return someday, though.
- Reiji plans to use Serena as a means of negotiation with the Academia. (At least we know that the Ninjas were tasked with protecting her, even though it was implied a couple of episodes ago)

- Dennis certainly is a smart fellow, keeping an eye out for hidden cameras. He doesn't want to let people see his true colours.

- What made Shingo getting the penalty towards the end so amusing was because Reiji didn't tell him about it. (It was probs something he didn't need to know anyway)

- Sora really doesn't like to have losing records, which is why he accepted Yuya's challenge.
It's interesting how if they had just left Shun make his turn right after the ninja, the Lanius combo he always uses would have already finished the duel right there... unless they could still pull off some BS move to revive and burn after hitting 0 LP, just for the sake of getting a 6000 burn in there, in which case he'd be able to beat 2 o them and lose himself.

Sora really gets on my nerves lately. That said, I don't have a problem with him as a character, but yes as a person.

So next week's episode is the season closure I assume (right before the debut of opening 3), so with Sora vs Yuya, the conclusion of the Obelisk Force duel, and the Tatsuya duel, I wonder how they'd fit all that into one episode... unless Tatsuya's duel is left out until the beginning of the next arc. I predict Sawatari's side will not take up much longer.

I'm always excited for a new opening (particularly getting the chance to guess at future plot points based on the imagery in the opening) But I will be sad to see burn! go. In my opinion, it was one of the best, if not THE best Yugioh opening. I can't tell you how many times I repeated it when watching episodes.

I'm certainly interested, though probably more in the duel itself than the mechanics of the archetype. Tatsuya seem to have been getting a surprising amount of build-up to his duel with Reira, so hopefully something big comes of it. (also, can we see Reira's synchro monster please? I know he's probably going to xyz during this duel, but I've been anting to see that synchro monster since I found out he had one).

I've also been wondering the same, he seems similar to Haruto imo, I'm sure Reira will play a bigger role later.

He might mean Tatsuya.

Currently, my hunch is that Reira is going to lose. Because if he's being pushed so hard to be a prodigy, losing is the only way to develop this further. Reiji was noted as a prodigy because he won the Junior, Junior Youth, and Youth tournaments previously. Reira failing to accomplish this in the same way might ruin the intent to make him a similar prodigy.

But realistically, I don't know if they'll even show us the Duel much. Next episode is probably going to be mostly Sora vs Yuya, with some loose ends being wrapped up elsewhere, and episode 50 is probably crucial as well, but seems to take place post-crisis.

To be fair, I thought he meant Reira because I think he'll play a bigger role later on.

Also I'd like to see Reira lose tbh if it will result in him being less bland (or dry as Sakura mentions alot)

I also forgot to say I'll actually be sadder that Future Fighter is changing. Love that ED.

Yeah that is a good ending. DEFINITELY better than the first ED for Arc-V.
