~British Soul~
*facepalmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm* Whoops... It's understandable since you were essentially ninja'd (despite the 2 min gap between posts) EDIT: Got around to watching the subs
- Basically Deenis got the penalty because he wasn't involved in a duel when he intervened. It was different with Yuzu as she was already in a duel prior to her crashing into Olga. - So the fishing bloke needs Michi's help with something. I wonder what he needs hlp with though... - The rest of my thoughs from the RAW hold here
Blake
Your criticism does make sense, but try to remember: every YGO has had a character like that: overly serious, 3edgy5u, no-fun etc. Shun is really like Kaito, except that at least they gave Shun a much more believable reason for him to be that way. As for having all the responses ready, yeah, I never denied it was a problem. As I said: they could've shown him using searchers. And this is particularly irksome as for him, duels are battles and if you get it wrong, you die. So it really doesn't make much sense for him to rely on luck so much. The best I can assume is that 90% of his deck is a counter for more or less everything, and activates also/mostly from the graveyard. I personally think that Shun would've been much more interesting, personality-wise, if they had shown more of his interactions with Yuto. Well, we don't know what really happened to Yuto and if he will ever come back, so I guess one can only hope. @Bold: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Arc-V is the one that's doing better. Using examples of past series, especially when it culminates in something ass poor as Shun thus far, it does not stick.
Blake
I don't see how Shun's worse than Kaito in that department. That wasn't my point at all. My point was that using past shit (ZeXal as a whole, for example) doesn't justify new shit.

Βyakuya
Arc-V Episode 44 (RAW): http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2htbkl I ninja'd British...
Very nice episode with more insight into the minor characters, and lots of intensity with Shun and Sora, and even Serena with Yuzu. Looks like Wailmer Hat guy is trying to cheat Michio, but knowing Michio, he'd probably outsmart him and make his way through the tournament, eventually meeting Yuya later. Halil and Olga might catch up as well. Dennis wasn't as creepy as I thought but, he still passes off as a skilled duelist on a level similar to Yuya's. Nice tactic with the Trick Box , thouch I wouldn't imagine how it would work anywhere else. Seems more Dark Magician-esque. And we're gonna see enraged Yuya again, under the influence of Yuto again. Eager to see some justice happen, and we might seek into how Yuto's inner feelings pulled through on the surface of Yuya's conscience. I see
It's more or less a talky episode, so will have to wait for subs for some of my thoughts. - Wow, the fishing bloke has amassed quite a collection of Pendulum cards in his cooler, and setting traps for the other competitors. Seems like a smart idea. (He'll defo be in the top 8 that's for sure.) - What the knights of duel peeps were doing, declaring direct attacks on Yuya and Shun and then blocking them, was a bit weird imo. - Although they get turned into cards at the end so meh. - Still, it was enough to trigger Berserk mode Yuya, so I'm interested to see how that'll turn out. - Blocking the transmissions from the fields where Fusion Dimension peeps turned up was a smart move on Reiji's part, not wanting to put the town into panic with the outsiders. - Dennis saving Yuzu's life after the duel reminded me of when Yuzu did that to Masumi, so full circle then. evilfusion
I think the Knight of Duels were trying to bait Shun/Yuya into starting a Duel with them when they're "technically" Dueling each other, which would give them the -2000 penalty. I seem to recall one of them mentioning the penalty. So confused on what Shun and Sora are doing now. Doesn't seem like, if they Duel, that they'll do it in the next episode or two. They just sort of...walked off. Also, I liked the Yuzu vs Dennis Duel. It was pretty awesome, though I knew Dennis would win. It just further shows that Dennis is probably going to be an extremely formidable opponent, and I like his personality. It's a bit goofier than Yuya's, but similarly themed. Timeline15
Wow, those knights don't know when to quit. Would you really try to duel Shun a second time after getting knocked around by Rise Falcon? Creative how they attacked them by duelling each other though. Dennis is still walking a weird line between charming and creepy, and I still can't tell where they're going with him. Also, the idea of Serena vs Dennis next time has me confused. Both were only recently introduced, and the last couple of episodes have built Dennis up as a formidable duelist. I can't really foresee either of them losing this soon. Another interruption maybe? Good to see more dark Yuya too. Though an explanation of what actually happened to Yuto would be nice.
Pchi
Some fans are convinced Dennis might be Yuuri in disguise. The way he tried to befriend Yuzu and Yuuya, his superb dueling skills, that Pinocchio "impression", and last, but not least, Trapeze Magician, a 2500/2000 Ace Monster whose design bears some similarities to Yuuya's fusion counterpart's (sharp purple hair, red cape - not to mention that sinister mask hiding its face), while at the same time bearing the same star emblem stamped on Serena's uniform. I'll go further and say he not only impersonated Dennis, but also physically merged with him, in reference to his preferred summoning method, and as a way to explain how he would be able to pass himself off as the LDS Broadway student flawlessly in such a short span of time. If that theory are confirmed, I could safely bet his dragon needs Xyz and/or Synchros as Fusion Materials. It'd also explain why he hasn't shown up since Leo told him to go to Standard capture Yuzu. Edit: Also, if all of that turns out to be true, then there wouldn't be a soundtrack more appropriate for Dennis than this: http://youtu.be/bLdjl65jAB8
The Warden
Honestly, I was also getting a Shingetsu vibe from Dennis. I mean, I know how Yugioh is written sometimes, but the way he's going, it's all too weirdly convenient for him to have an anti-burn deck. And how touchy feeling he's being with both Yuya and Yuzu, yeah, something is up.
~British Soul~
- The fishing bloke is starting to bore me, getting Michio to duel for him and then once he's tired dueling him so that he can win the cards for himself in addition to his big haul. I mean there's nothing wrong with the plan, but I'm sure we've all seen that before. - It's not surprising that Shun is having a go at Yuya about Yuto's disappearance, after all the tranmission from Central Park when the Yugo/Yuto duel happened was cut off and Yuya was the only other witness and even he still seems a bit unsure of who Yugo is. - I'm also getting a Shingetsu-vibe from Dennis as well, something about him seems a bit suspicious; with the way he has been acting as well as his deck. Premier Alexander Romanov
You know, I still don't really know the motivations of many of the characters in the series so far.Why is the Fusion Dimension attacking other dimensions? Why is Sora crazy(er than usual) and suddenly attacking the Standard Dimension with soldiers? Why is Shun turning Fusion users into cards? Why is Serena turning Xyz users into cards? What is Reo's goal and how did he become leader of Academia?Just, there has been a lot of dialogue, but very little explanations on anything. Pchi
You know, I still don't really know the motivations of many of the characters in the series so far. Why is the Fusion Dimension attacking other dimensions? Why is Sora crazy(er than usual) and suddenly attacking the Standard Dimension with soldiers? Why is Shun turning Fusion users into cards? Why is Serena turning Xyz users into cards? What is Reo's goal and how did he become leader of Academia? Just, there has been a lot of dialogue, but very little explanations on anything. All of those questions, save for Leo and Academia's true intentions, have already been answered: As Timeskipper explained above, Sora doesn't have to hold the good boy façade anymore, and he's absolutely furious at Shun for his humiliating defeat, yearning for revenge. The only reason the Obelisk Force attacked the Knights of Duel is to prevent them from interfering with Shun and Sora's duel, since they wanted to beat the former's ass too. They've come to Standard solely to take Serena back, and have no ill intentions (yet) towards that dimension - unless some Stand punk decides to stay in their way, that is. Shun attacked and carded some LDS employees in order to lure Reiji and take him as hostage in exchange for his sister Ruri, who fell into Leo Akaba's hands. He's alaso willing to card any Fusion user affiliated with Academia since they were the ones who destroyed his hometown and took his sister and many of his comrades away. Serena is chasing the last remnants of Xyz Dimension's Resistance who took shelter in Standard in order to prove her worth as a Duel Soldier to Leo Akaba and be allowed to join the frontlines of the Dimension War, and she's attacking anyone who she suspects might be her target - in other words, any powerful Xyz user. evilfusion
Sora is only "crazy" around Shun, because he's practically obsessed with defeating him. He wasn't even crazy around Yuto, just pissy. Sora doesn't seem like he's just been "acting" nice early on and is now freely being a sadist, like Vector was. Sora only went full-psycho when Shun kept outplaying and countering him, and the aftereffects of losing made him somewhat obsessed with rematching and defeating him. His pride got hurt, and he's got quite the ego.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Usually I'd do this on time, but might as well add in my thoughts on episode now that I have internet at home again.
That Teppei character's doing nothing, but just stealing Pendulum Cards. Hopefully he gets his ass kicked later; I'm comparing him to Weevil and Flip if that's a proper comparison. Also looking forward to seeing Michio get creamed; let's hope he doesn't lucksack Wonder Recipe like he did last time. Yuya's mother cares more about Dennis/Michio than her own son, and explicitly said that during the interview. Seriously, support your kid instead of some other guys. I'd imagine Yuya would be disappointed (if he weren't already) if he knew that. So Dennis basically killed Yuzu with her own monster; how ironic. Knights of Duels were basically being asses with repeated attacks; I don't even know what they were trying to do aside from pissing Shun off. Then again, they were sealed into cards. Sora returns, but only cares about beating Shun up (and retrieving Serena). Serena starts to act up at the end, and wants to beat Yuzu and Dennis together. Yuya and Shun meet, but then the latter decides to be a real asshole (like I'm surprised here). Presumably Yuya doesn't remember that he saw Yuto get beat by Yugo, and that's why he's gone. Then again, I'm having doubts that Shun would even believe that.
Now, on to the discussion. If Serena really wants to defeat Xyz users, then she could've just hunted down Yuya or something; even though he only has DRXD. Yuzu's a Fusion user, but I don't know. Then again, Yuya's basically going to 3-v-1 the Obelisk Force members he saw sealing Knight of Duels, given the preview presumably.
