If Yuzu did have an older sibling, I would suspect he wouldn't be as violent as Shun is right now.

Then again, anime never made a reference to that.

If it proves to be a relevant plot point, perhaps the animators will look into expanding that part.

For the Vanilla Pendulums, there's about 8, yes: those two in DUEA, Shell/Access, the 2014 World Champion promos and those Japanese ones from JF17 or something.

Can't ignore the possibility that Reiji may have scattered Pendulums made to actually fit the decks of the competitors (It wouldn't be hard, given that he has a pretty good idea of everyone's decks after two rounds in the competition). That could add more of a personal element to it if the competitors come across an opponent that has Pendulums that were made to fit their deck specifically. Doubt that will happen, but it would be REALLY cool if it did.

Now watch all the Pendulums they find be thematically similar to their decks anyway just BECAUSE.

You don't know, what about all of the other random people that aren't Main characters? They could have those decks.

But I am going to guess that at least 1 of the knight dudes has a Noble Knights Deck.

Looking at the info WIkia already compiled, hasn't been confirmed that the rest of the players use Necloth, Shaddolls and all that other stuff.

That being said, I've already posted the Pendulum Statues that were confirmed this episode inside TCG for discussion.

As for the Knights of Duel members, it's likely but we'll have to see next episode (or watch this one if they indeed confirm/counter our predictions).

mother of god the Arabian guy is annoying. What gender even is it? Why does he have a weird semi American accent?

Either way, cool duels, though we didn't even get to see any of Gongenzaka's -_- The new pendulum cards seem cool too.

Hope we see at least a little of Shun's duel next time, as opposed to just the aftermath.

Yeah, Halil is a male
- The guys from Ryozanpaku School targetting Yuya for revenge is understandable after what he did to Isao, using the same methods to try and defeat him.
 - I'm sure the duel will get interesting albeit more even with Dennis joining Yuya, and the preview shows that he is an Xyz user.
  - "Entermage" seems like a Entermate rip-off deck though.
- Halil not knowing where the Pendulum zones were was quite amusing
- Reding Olga's wikia page, the trivia section that visually, she is based on Anna and Elsa from Frozen. (She's also a Synchro user)
- It's not just the Ryozanpaku duo wanting revenge, the Knight of Duels guys are wanting their revenge on Shun for beating their team-mate
Also...
- I can see Tairyobata (The fishing bloke who wasn't seen) teaming up with Michio to battle the Ninja guys in the jungle field.
Most important thing: Flame Ball is basically an Action version of Sparks.
Halil screwing up the Pendulum Zones was hilarious. Also makes perfect sense that his Japanese sounds off, given he's an exchange student.

Why does the La Jinn Fusion have to use BURN? Panther Predator already used burn, now another retro card has a fusion variant that burns? Meh.

Some of those Pendulum Scales are alarmingly high, Purple Sword especially.

Seems the Ryozanpaku guys all have decks that are similar, fusion to create an ace monster with 3000 ATK. Initially that annoyed me, but then I remembered how regime-like Ryuzanpaku was and it actually made perfect sense. Ryuzanpaku is like a small army unto itself, and it would actually be really cool if, say, Kachidoki had a change of heart later in the series and led them all against Academia's forces or something, cause they're perfectly suited for it.

Sad we didn't get anything of Shun or Gongenzaka's duel, though we'll definitely see some of Gongenzaka next episode.

Dennis has not been foreshadowed at ALL, and that makes no sense given how big a deal it seems like he's going to be and the fact that his Entermage card is FAR too similar to Yuya's Entermates for nobody to have even mentioned it to Yuya. Also, since he's an Xyz user, I'm betting he's going to teach Yuya more about using Xyz Summons given they have semi-similar decks, making the lack of foreshadowing with him even worse.

Yuya and Yuzu were getting absolutely PUMMELED in this episode. Seriously, they're both almost out of life points already.
All in all, I liked this episode, makes me excited for the next one.
Well this was quite an interesting royale episode. Kinda crazy if you think about how much money had to be use in order to place Action Duel projectors all over the city on every single part of the city. And really it's not just like one projector that covers a single quadrant, but they all have to be f*****g ubiquitous, with projectors in every possible location like, 10 ft away from each other. And then the lack of pedestrians on the streets. I know that the Maiami Championship is a highly anticipated tournament for people to see and LDS might have evacuated everyone, but it still puts a lot of businesses and normal routine in turmoil just for 12-18 kids to run amok.

Aside from that, everything seems pretty neat. Poor Michio gets no recognition, and it appears the Knights Club are getting their revenge on Shun. Halil is a bit annoying though. But he still gets off funny with the Pendulum Zones and talks like he hasn't spoken Japanese fluently cause he's from Anatolia or something. The Ice lady I was hoping for some Nordics, or  something similar to Alexis in the manga or Rio's, but nope, more generic stuff.

Speaking of which, I've seen nothing but burn damage here and htere, and Yuya/Yuzu are already down near 0, jeez. It's a pitiful way to invoke some drama, though I'm sure that we can see better. Also, with Pendulums here and there, still kinda weird people are not using materials form their hands...Ryozanpaku I can understand cause they use high level monsters, but Halil doesn't make any sense.

Anyways, the magician guy was quite a surprise. If anything, we'll find out the valid meaning why he protects Yuya. In the end that guy and Halil will be pretty amiable to You Show later on.
• Ryouzanpaku's being dirty again; especially when one of them punishes Yuya, the other decides to step on his legs. Yeah, they want revenge, but seriously their teammate caused numerous injuries to other duelists, and you feel no remorse in doing so?
    • Yuya, has the idea of self-defense ever occurred to you?
      • If they're going to assault you, do whatever is needed to defend yourself. Hell, if you have to kick the guy in the nuts or break his legs (if able), then do it.
      • Then again, we'd have to classify Arc-V as PG-16 or on the scale of some fight anime if this happens.
    • Seriously, I don't care if you even give them the Isao treatment, and DRXD them.
  • Halil sounds like a really bad weeaboo; it was amusing though.
    • I found it hilarious that he had to be instructed how to Pendulum though, but don't we all when we first do it.
  • So we get some legacy support for Kaiba's genie; k.
  • Yuzu losing her chance at Pendulum Summoning must've sucked for her.
  • Gongenzaka and Yuzu teaming up against the exchange students; this will be interesting.
  • So Yuya's getting assistance from a LDS exchange student; you should be grateful that he stepped in, or else your ass would be dead by now. (* talking to Yuya *)
    • On that note, Yuya/Yuzu were both getting creamed.

Overall, a nice episode save for the Ryouzanpaku school crap, but we've established that school doesn't give a damn about playing nicely.

They're glad lawsuits don't exist in this animeverse, otherwise I'm pretty sure Goudagawa and his students would be in prison for assault charges + school being shut down.

Episode 44: Shun and Yuya finally talk but are attacked by the Knights of Duels and get separated. Also, Sora is in the episode.
Episode 45: KOD get sealed into cards. Yuya challenges Obelisk force out of anger. Sofa and Shun duel again.
Episode 46: Yuya is possessed again and Gong tries to stop him. Also, Serena meets Yuzu. The episode is called "The Rebellious Supreme King Black Dragon". Maybe an evolved form of Dark Rebellion?
