Then again, the anime has been known to do some pretty stupid things, like the Team Unicorn duel, where Yusei's opponent could've won if he had just passed his turn, instead of attacking, or when Axel dueled The Supreme King, where the damage was miscalculated so The Supreme King could've won with 50 LP left, but would've lost long beforehand if the LP had been calculated correctly.

That was Jim's Duel with the Supreme King. The Japanese version incorrectly calculated the damage. The English dub actually fixed the error, and compensated by reducing Fossil Dyna's ATK to 1200 (instead of the Japanese version's 1300). This was actually brilliant because the IRL Fossil Dyna's ATK was released with 1200 ATK.

The Team Unicorn thing pissed me off, but when I recently rewatched that Duel, I don't find it as bad. It's stupid writing, because it's blatantly "Yusei needs to win this", but the character logic is still MOSTLY intact.

The thing is that they didn't need to win that.

They would've advanced in the prelims, regardless of their victory.

The issue with that is the varying locations I've made them over a period of like 5 years. A lot of my 5Ds rants are in that one Club I was in when 5Ds was airing. Zexal rants are probably in various TCG topics involving overreliance on No.39. No rants really here yet. Probably made a few in PMs or similar.

Part of it is because I used to write stories all the time, eventually honing my skills really well. So when I watch the series, I analyze a lot of things and notice really poor or weak writing conventions.

Yeah, the team unicorn thing really pissed me off, because, up to that point, it had been one of the best duels in the entire show. So fast paced, so strategic, it felt like such a let down to end it in such a nonsensical way. Let alone when Yusei didn't even NEED to win. 5Ds is the best incarnation of yugioh in my opinion, but my god did it have some writing problems when it came to yusei.

Regarding mad Chimera, with any luck it won't turn out to have that effect in the show, since sheep basically already has it. Shun would have just found his was around it with some other sort of effect anyway, because he's been built up too much for him to lose to anyone but Yuya at this point. Sora committed the sin of being the character who was around for longer, an therefore he had to die lose the duel.

Just watched Le SUBs
- After Shuzo left with the kids, it offered Yuya, Yuzu and Gongenzaka to talk about what they know (Some of which Gongenzaka is finding out for the first time)
- Sora explains to Yuto that people who get hunted get put into cards (Like what Shun did to the LDS lot), but he says he doesn't know where Ruri is, but bets she became a card and he also states that the only way for Yuto/Shun to save their captured comrades is to destroy them all.
- Sora and Yuya were aware that DRXD's effect wasn't OPT. Sora then realises that Yuto is holding back and making a fool out of him.
- Reiji was against compiling a search party and letting Shun leave because he believed that Shun/the Search party would cause a scene and it'd ruin his plans.
Damn. Yuto only used dark rebellion's effect once because he didn't want to hurt Sora unnecessarily, and, of course, Sora took it has Yuto humiliating him. I think at this point we could just chalk up that mad chimaera misplay last time to sora just being not all that smart.

Yuya vs Yuto finally commences next time!

so, would Yugo be silver in this analogy? XD

Well, no, but like.... Yuto speeding out at the fuckin' hospital, and being the black-deco of the main character lead me to throw SA2B into the mix.

Yugo being Silver wont work, per say, since we know there are more then 3 dimensions, IE, more then 3 'mains'.

So, the good people of 2-chan managed to clear up the shadowy figure in the intro by editing the colors.
2wq79jd.jpg

It's another Yuya lookalike, judging by his facial features and the dual-colored hair.

Based on the coloring scheme, this is probably the Fusion version.

And he stole Yusei's jacket, the b*****d.

wait, why did they go to the trouble of drawing a picture and shading it out, rather than just.... drawing a silhouette? They could have prevented people from ever doing that in the first place XD

I assume this means he's gonna be unshaded in the actual opening at some point, which hopefully means we won't have to wait hugely long for his arrival.

Some people are gods at Photoshop, apparently, to bring this out of the shadowed shot in the intro.
I'mma call him "Fab Yuya" from now on because that's what he looks like. Dem lips.
It'll be funny if he ends up being Sora's boss/higher-up.

So I wonder what the plan is for Ritual Yuya, if that ends up being 5th Yuya. At this point I'm kinda doubting they'll give much of a place to Rituals since only a minor character has used one, and the showcase was more of a brief one compared to the others.

I think this series might keep up with the pattern of all main characters moving on to a mysterious destiny.

Yugi wasn't around during GX

Jaden went on his own to who knows where

Yusei finished up science project of Momentum and is off doing who knows what

Yuma kept his companions but didn't really go back to a normal life either

What if all Yuya look-a-likes and Yuya himself get lost?

The scene from the opening where Yuya and Yuto both close up enough to disappear behind Yuzu made me think about the chance of all realities warping and producing a sort of "original" entity with all of their ace cards and stuff? It sounds almost as weird as a theory that Astro Dude would say, I know... but still.

Or...

What if Yuzu IS Fusion Yuya?

I mean, something's up about her bracelet and stuff.... and IDK.

Considering Shun's sister Ruri supposedly looks the same as Yuzu, it's more likely they are counterparts than Yuzu being Yuya's counterpart.
