asterr259
With regards to the latest episode.... Why am I now getting a Kill la Kill vibe from this series? Are you implying that... Reiji's mom is a Ragyo!?! Secretly aiding some apocalyptic force that we now simply as the "enemy" under the guise of a "Duel School"?! EDIT: Wait Deja vu... Did you bring this up before or did I, deep down in my soul, know this to be true?

Jord200
So if Yuto is an Alternate Yuya, that makes Ruri a potential Alternate Yuzu. Now this was said, but think about something else. Ruri's enemies use Fusions. Who's short, suspicious, always shown winning offscreen duels, with a Fusion monster, and taught/is teaching Yuzu how Fusion Summon......?

Sora being suspicious in general has been referenced innumerable times. Right now, they seem to really want to avoid telling us much about him. We don't know exactly where he's from, only that Fusions are commonplace. He has an extraordinary grasp of the game and the various Summons. LDS has noted strong Fusion Summon readings whenever he Duels. Yuto was able to identify that Sora is not from around there. However, it does seem clear that Sora is not directly tied to Shun or Yuto, so if he's an enemy of them, he doesn't know them specifically, and this also rules out him being an ally. Best theory is that Sora is associated with a 3rd party, other than LDS or the Dark Duelists. He doesn't seem to be an enemy of LDS itself, nor an ally. ~Faytl~
He's Yugo.
What if: You had theories that applied the slightest shred of logic? :V Seriously. ONE, we saw Yugo in episode 18. He may have had a helmet on, but I'm pretty damn sure he's a little too tall to be Sora. He's AT LEAST a head taller than the kid. TWO, It's been stated that Yugo uses Synchro Monsters, not Fusions like Sora (which means he may not even have anything to do with Ruri's kidnapping in the first place, actually, since I'm pretty sure it was stated she was kidnapped specifically by the fusion people, unless Yugo's just some kind of Synchro mercenary or something, which would actually be really cool). THREE, at one point in the episode we saw Yugo, a bit of his hair was visible hanging out of his helmet, and it's a darker blue than Sora's. It's actually closer in color to Bruno's from 5... Ds.... ... Okay, I need to calm down because just saying that made me hyperventilate. That is NOT going to be a thing.

~Faytl~
Seems Gongenzaka's been keeping his training secret from everyone: Even the head of the dojo was shocked that he pulled out a Synchro Monster. Really glad that this is treated with the surprise and weight it should have, they all look FLABBERGASTED. Can't wait to see it's effect next week (unless the real life one gets leaked before then). So Sword Graveyard seems to be Gongenzaka's signature field now. For all the good that does him. I find it funny that his signature field seems so far have Action Cards that all increase ATK, a stat that doesn't matter to him. Kind of makes sense as well: No point in him going for the Action Cards even more than it screws up his deck, they're pretty worthless to him. Hell, it actually shows how tough he is: Not only is his signature field one he can't use for strategic reasons, it's one that has the most chance of backfiring on him since it can buff his opponent's monsters enough to get over his monsters, as seen with Silver Claw and in his duel against Yaiba. It just occured to me how UTTERLY screwed he would be if he had that Draw Lock spell Meiru dropped on Yuya used on him. Either he can't draw or he discards a card and utterly blows his strategy. Wonder what was going on between Shun and Reiji there at the beginning... Maybe offering him a spot on the JYC? IDK why he would, but that seems to be the most logical way to get Shun into that, seeing as he currently doesn't have any official duel record or the channels to acquire them. He could probably knock out the six official duels needed for it pretty quickly anyway. Who am I kidding, HE ONE-SHOTTED LDS'S BEST STUDENTS. Six wins is gonna be nothing for him. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Wanted to see Reiji v Shun; didn't happen. Too much dialogue, not enough dueling. Gongenzaka summons his new ace; rest of You Show is stunned. Yaiba would be proud of you, if he weren't unconscious right now. Reusing the field from Gongenzaka v Yaiba. Seems fitting. Yuya, stop being a coward and just fight Gongenzaka already. You want to enter the Junior Youth Cup? Then stop being a sap and go. Yuya summons new Performapal. ~British Soul~
- It's a shame that Reiji vs Shun didn't happen, but then again the focus of the duel was on Yuya/Gongenzaka. I'm sure that will happen eventually - When everyone was "missing" from the house and the Duel School, I thought that they knew who Yuya's last opponent was and didn't want to tell him. Also when Yuzu had a go at her dad for making sound, I think it was because they didn't want Yuya to know that they were there. - I liked how they used the same duel field from the Gongenzaka/Yaiba duel. - Judging by Nico's hands during the pre-duel dialogue, it looks as if Gongenzaka was going down the same route as Sora and had 5 straight wins. ~British Soul~
Just watched le subs
We learned that Reiji knew about the Ruri situation and that Shun wanted to draw out Reiji so that he can use him as a hostage to rescue Ruri. Annoyingly we don't know the condition that Reiji handed to Shun in order for the latter to duel him. We knew that Gongenzaka was 1 win away from entering the JYC, but we learned that he refused challenges until Yuya was 1 win away so that he can have a serious match with him. It turned out that Nico arranged for Yuzu, her dad and everyone to not be present to teach Yuya to fight alone even if the audience is cheering for the enemy, and I think that'll be good for character development. Atypical-Abbie
I find it a bit odd that some of you watch it without subtitles, even though you don't understand what is going on. Why is that? OT: I thought it was interesting how Gongenzaka wanted Yuya to grow by not allowing an audience, it just feels a bit weird, considering that the whole idea behind Action Duels is the audience and such. evilfusion
Really, all of Nico's arrangements seem to have a hidden moral to them in regards to being a pro. This one is no exception. I find it a bit odd that some of you watch it without subtitles, even though you don't understand what is going on. Why is that? Because the episodes are still enjoyable to watch and listen to, even if you don't understand everything. And while you miss things in dialogue, you still more or less can figure out what's happening. This particular episode was just SO heavy on dialogue you really can't figure much out without the subs. Admittedly, it's an acquired skill. I've been watching subs since midway through 5Ds, so by this point, I understand a good portion of the terminology in Duels, and Duels is usually the main reason you watch. Besides, the alternative is to avoid the TCG section because cards used in the anime get discussed the same day as the raw release, which can be somewhat spoilerific. ESPECIALLY during Zexal with the Numbers.
